  1. Welcome to the forum! There are tons of great hotels in Playa. The hotel you choose depends on your personality, price-range, and what will be the best for your guests. Do you need a kid-friendly hotel? How many people do you want? Do you want your wedding on the actual beach or in a gazebo over looking the ocean? Those are the types of things to consider when looking. Once you know your criteria, it becoms much easier to choose a location. Happy planning!!!!!!
  2. Well, you could chance it but it would be devistating if it was raining like hell on your big day, and you were stuck with no back-up plan. Despite the month you get married, there's always a chance for rain. I would personally go with the hotel that had a great back-up plan for rain, that way you don't have to ever stress about it!

How crazy, I still can't wrap my mind around her having twins! She already has two kids and she is 27. I just can't believe it! Wow, what a fun suprise for her! I'm sorry she won't be able to make it to your wedding Sometimes it seems like the people you were sure would come, have something come up, and the ones you least expect are the first to book! (That's how it's been with me anyway) Are you going to "replace her" or just have one more GM?
  4. Congrats Nicole!!!! One minor set back for us, I found the perfect GM attire that was on sale and everything, and they are all sold out of the sizes for the boys BUMMER!!!! So now, back to square one with the darn GM outfits! Anyone found any good deals on GM attire lately?
  5. Those are WAY cute! I did MIB glass invites that turned out very cute. Glass may be too heavy to carry to Mexico, especially if you have to make room for centerpieces ect. I went to Hobby lobby in the Jewelry section and found mini glass bottles with corks that are necklace size. They were on sale for 2 for $1.00. I bought black cord and will fill them with sand for the guests.
  6. Well, I'm not Catholic, but I don't understand how they would ever know if he had been married in a Catholic Church before? I mean it's been 5 years, and that's all in the past right? Can't you just pretend that he's never been married and get married in the Church again? Sorry I don't know more
  7. Awww, what a cutie! Poor guy! I bet with the cone on, it will heal up! I can only imagine him walking around your house with it on, I'm sure it's a challenge making sure all breakables are out of his path. Good luck, and I hope he get's better soon!
  8. The "maximum" package our hotel offers is for 20 people. We are having 22, so it's not a big deal to pay the extra $ for them. I wonder the same thing for those of you who are having 60, 70, 80,+ people. Do you really have to pay a fee for each one, or can they up your package somehow? You would think they would give you some sort of large group deal and charge like maybe $10.00 per person, NOT $50.00. I'm sure someone will have a good answer for you!
  9. I attempted the "Instead" version and thought it was horrible. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I suppose every woman is different.
  10. I worked in a salon for 4 years and would definetely tell you to go with ceramic. Infrashine is a GREAT one, and I believe they come with a warranty, but am not 100% sure. I have had mine for 4 years, and love it! Here's the link ( I noticed they're out of stock, but I'm sure you can find somewhere else if this is the one you choose.) Google Image Result for http://www.folica.com/images/products/3379-A8594_s.gif
  11. Yes, they aren't the cutest thing in the world, but seeing how they're shower invites, I would let it go. Make sure she doesn't get involved again hehe. It's sad because I think she was really trying to be creative and it didn't work out so well. It will be one of those things you can laugh about in 20 years. Make sure to save one for your scrap book!
  12. I am slowly but surely working on my pre-mexico, and welcome to mexico brochures. They are lookin' pretty darn good (I'm just a perfectionist and am spending too much time, but hey, at least I work infront of a computer all day.) I don't know what I will do when I don't have anymore wedding stuff to work on? LOL
  13. Good for you!!!! It feels so good when the weight starts to "melt off"! I'm not doing a cleanse, but am watching my calories and working out and have also lost 8 lbs!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didnt like the "room" they have available but dont know what kind of weather to expect in January in the evenings? Our reception will be right on the beach, so hopefully the weather will be ok (I'll have an indoor back-up plan just in case) I'm telling my guests to bring a "light jacket" in case there is a breeze. As far as the brochure goes, I do not have a template as of yet, but my computer genius FI is going to create them and I'll post when finished.
  15. I am doing the exact same thing you are. I've created the OOT bags and am giving gifts to the parents and wedding party. I absolutely wouldn't feel bad at all about not giving them an actual "gift". Hey, it's not like you are "putting them out", and getting married in Antarctica or something. Is your hotel all-inclusive?
  16. I am very sorry for your loss My thoughts are with you!!!
  17. I'm using your brochure as a guide...(Hope that's ok)
  18. Are you making pre-mexico brochures, and "welcome to mexico" brochures for your guests? Does anyone have a list of the hotel restaurants, or a template I could look at? I have a rough draft, but am a visual person! Thanks!
  19. I'd personally think they would like cash the best. I'm not sure what else I could think to bring?
