  1. So I FINALLY found and bought the GM's attire tonight!!!!!!!!!!!! Shop clothes for women, men, maternity, baby, and kids at gap.com. | Gap Linen Amalfi Pants - Island Importer Maine Isle Flip-Flops, Men's Leather: Footwear at L.L.Bean I was starting to "freak out" that we weren't going to find anything. Everytime we found something, there was an issue, so I am VERY relieved to have this one checked off the list! (cross your fingers that everything fits) We also decided to add on 2 hours of reception coverage to our photography package!!! I originally didin't think it was "necessary" but now I think it's just as important to get the cake, garter, bouquet, dances
  2. I'm excited!!! Today I added on 2 hours of coverage to our photography package!! Pre-ceremony, Ceremony, Reception, TTD(the next day)I originally didn't think it was "necessary" to have reception coverage, but now I'm like "Were you crazy?" So for an extra $300.00 I'll have professional reception pics too! YAY!!!!
  3. I'm very sorry I know it sucks to get the news that your "final" BM isn't going to show up. It's funny because I think it would be SO AWESOME to get invited to a DW, ESPECIALLY being asked to be in it! I'm suprised at how people bail, beat around the bush, or never intend on coming in the first place. (I have people in all 3 categories) I know it's a bummer, but just remember it's all about you and your FI, and if people are ignorant enough to miss it, then it's their loss. Just have an amazing time, and trust me when I say, that people will REGRET it if they don't go.
  4. Looks like you had a blast Dez!!! I hope you guys got everything you wanted!!!! I'm not sure about the whole shower thing? My mom has mentioned it before, but I haven't heard anything further. The only thing we are "registered for" is $ for our honeymoon, so I'm not sure how we would have a "shower." Almost one more month down can you believe it? I feel like a broken record but I'm having such a hard time with the GM clothing!!! AHHHHHHH Everytime I think I have it figured out there either isn't the right size, isn't the right color, isn't the right this, or isn't the right that! I'm ready to scream!!! And my FI's suit came in and his pants look like MC hammer!!! I was trying not to giggle, but after he was like "Oh I think it fits perfectly" I had to tell him how low his crotch was actually hanging. (men are so funny sometimes) Anyway, he's been losing weight so I don't know if he should wait another month or two and order a different size, or order now? I'm affraid the suit will be out of stock. Who would have thought the MEN'S clothing would be such a PITA?
  5. My WC is at a site visit in Mexico this week, and is reserving our reception spot!!!!! It's on the beach, yet has accessible rest-rooms close by for the guests. I'll post when I know exactly where it is! I'm getting sooo excited!
  6. THANK YOU ALL SOOO MUCH!!! I think I found some great options! YAY!!!! I will post after I buy them!
  7. I am searching for men's hawaiian shirts or ties that are either deep/blue/deep pink MIX OR just men's pink hawaiian shirts. I don't really care for the flamingo prints. :/ All I have to say is the GM's attire is giving me a HEADACHE!!! We had everything picked out last week, only to find out the sizes we needed were gone. So here we are starting from square one. We were originally going to do the typical linen pants/shirts route, but thought these might add some color, EXCEPT I can't find them!! Grrrrr!!!! My BM dresses are a deep royal blue and a deep pink. Thanks in advance!
  8. The count sounds good to me! AND you can make it 25 for me if that's easier for you, it's no problem for me!
  9. This is the thread I have "saved" as far as changing my name will go. Not sure if this was the one you were looking for? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...=changing+info
  10. We are having a mariachi, and it came included in our wedding package. They will be playing as people are being seated for the ceremony, as well as a little after. They would play durring the ceremony, but we have a beautiful celtic version of Canon in D that we are playing instead. For the reception, my WC told us to save the $900 and hook up an IPOD.
  11. I made mine for about $15.00 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t24965 It took a little time, but I love it and if I decide not to wear it it was only $15.00
  12. Nevermind, sorry I miss-read the post. It's not "cheap" at all. Your guests will love it!
  13. I'm a bit confused because I too am staying at an All-inclusive, and my WC said our "Welcome Dinner" would be covered. She just wanted me to give her a final head count so she could set it up for me. Why would you have to pay for it at an all-inclusive?
  14. We could even order more than the 200 if there are enough of us interested. That might off-set the cost even more (although .79 each is a great deal! Then we could split the $40.00 between us and ship em to eachother if that works?) Like I said, I'm not picky on the logo really, Just something simple that we can all use!
  15. Thank you for your tips! It is very much appreciated by us brides who haven't "walked down the aisle yet" and don't know exactly what to expect! I'm sorry you had a few "mis-haps" As far as them not reading the correct ceremony, and not being able to have a rehearsal, I think it's more than "fair" to write them a letter to let them know how important your vows were to you, and they read the wrong ones, and didn't allow you enough time for a rehearsal. As for you and your Hubby, you will always have that to giggle about. You could also hang on to your vows until you decide to "renew them" and then after 20 years or whatever, you will still be able to hear them, and WOW how special that will be after 20 years. (Just an idea hehe) Thanks again for sharing everything, and can't wait to see pictures!
  16. It seems whenever a company runs a sale, a BDW member will usually post it. You can do a search a should be able to find something. I bought mini canvas OOT bags at Micheal's (They come in every color of the rainbow) and were only $1.30 each. Some people on here wanted a bigger bag, but I think they are perfect, and I know a few other girls on here went out and got them too. <----I have since then added A LOT more to these bags. They hold a ton of stuff actually! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...gs+Michael%27s http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...gs+Michael%27s
  17. That is gorgeous! Too bad they don't have white gold Thanks for the post!
  18. That is insane!!! Very scary, and I'm glad everyone is OK! I have to say though, it got my adrenaline going when I read the part about the bridesmaids throwing punches as well! I took self-defense before moving to St. Thomas a few years back, and would have fought tooth and nail if anyone tried to mess with me! YIKES!
  19. I think a lot of girls with a larger group are sitting at several round tables. I've seen really creative ideas with the seating. If the groom is a Firefighter, and the Bride is a dentist or something, they would name each table something to do with those two professions (Molar table, Firetruck table, ect.) Or you could keep it completely simple and not have assigned seating and keep them round tables, just without the "assigned seating" We are only having 22 people, so we're sitting at one long table, so everyone can chit-chat. Also, is your reception in a hotel grill or something similar, or on the beach? The choice is yours really
  20. My mom is a 13 year breast cancer survivor and we are on the luminaria committe for the Relay For Life http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...t=fight+cancer We do it every year! Don't worry girl, you will raise as much $ as you can, and I think it's GREAT you are participating in such a great cause. Here is another good post as well http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...t=fight+cancer
