That is kind of spendy, but I am planning on this being our favors... and the contents are reasonable. Right now I am at $20 per bag. When we get to Mexico I am going to put some snacks, water and maybe mini tiquila bottles in them. I went to the Dollar store and bought my aloe, sunscreen, tylenol, playing cards, mini squirt guns, loofahs, etc... all for $1 or less- the playing cards had 2-3 per pack... mini loofahs had 4 I think. Some of the other projects I will wait on. I am working on a Facebook with everyone who is attending the wedding, will be put with an itinerary in the OOT bags... I am working on the Facebook as I go but won't get them printed until after the RSVP.... Nov. 15 is our RSVP date as well! It's hard when you don't know exactly how many guests you will have. It's also hard because a lot of the OOT bag items may not be available when the Summer is over. I would say if you have a "rough idea" of the # of guests, buy the stuff you may not be able to find (like sunscreen, aloe, or other "seasonal items") and just save your receipt in case you have less guests. (I would buy a few extras just in-case) I already know for sure that we are having 20-22 people, so I bought EVERYTHING for my OOTs already
  4. Hmmm....Tequila Tasting I don't really "taste" tequila, in fact I try to NOT taste it at all costs! Just give me the salt and lots of lime!!! J/K, I think that's a very good idea, especially in Mexico. Sorry I don't have a lot of info. That might be a good question for the hotel TA. If I find any info, I will post
  5. Welcome Mike, and Congratulations! You will find all the info you need on this site!!!

Several brides have told me to NOT use the hotel photographer! If you have the $, I would fly in your own. If you are on some sort of budget, I would use a photog in Mexico. But, I would book it now if you are using someone in Mexico, because my first choice was booked 3 months ago for January Also, they say they don't accept outside photographers, but my WC ASSURED me, with a day-pass it's fine. I'm just not going to make a big deal and hope it's all ok
  7. Everything looks AMAZING Alyssa!!! We can't wait to hear everything!
  8. Welcome to the forum! You will absolutely LOVE it here!!!!!
  9. Everything looks GREAT!!!!!!!! What a great couple the two of you are!
  10. OMG WOW!!!! It's like a Cinderella story Congratulations!!! We can't wait to see it in November!
  11. I know there's a few more Barcelo Brides I've been chatting with!!! Let's get rockin'!!!!! I have lots of pics and info and would love to chat with you all!!!
  12. Well, you could tell her that when you originally picked the resort you had no idea there was a limit on attending guests. Say you had a Lonnng guest list, and were planning on inviting lots of people until you found out about the 60 guest limit. Tell her that between you and your FI's family, the 60 spots filled up very quickly, but in the last few weeks you had an un-expected cancellation, and didn't want to hesitate at all to ask her to come! (I know it's stretching the truth a bit, but it sounds believable to me!
  13. Your hair is gorgeous already, but I know how it feels when you just want a CHANGE! I suggest some long layers to your shoulders, that way it's not to drastic and is still quite a change. Remember, you can always go chop more off, but you cannot grow it back over-night! Show us pics after you go!

I was at my wits end and told her to just refund the money for the alterations and return the dress. I was not going to wait another week just to see that she didn't do it correctly. It is a mess. The good news is I happened to find this little Christian book store that sells wedding dresses! Why, I don't know but I found another perfect dress that looks even better on me! It also is not as heavy and I won't be so hot in it. It was only $100.00!!!! The length is perfect but I have to have the hips let out a little because of my fat a**. I don't know what I'm going to do with the other dress. I think I will take it to a consignment shop and see if it sells. Thanks everyone for listening to my venting. I don't know about you, but I think this woman needs to find a new profession! I am very sorry she was unable to fix it, but am VERY happy you found another dress! It will fit and will look beautiful! (No, you don't have a fat ass, but that made me giggle a bit) Thanks for the update!
  15. I agree with these girls...I think the most stressful part of the ENTIRE wedding including planning, ceremony ect, ARE THE GUESTS!!! Some people (like myself) had the opposite problem as you. My guests began inviting themselves left and right and it was VERY stressful for the first few weeks after sending the STD's. I know it's difficult especially when it comes to friends and family, but just remember this is YOU and your FI's day and you need do whatever the two of you want. Don't let everyone try and "alter" your plans, just set them up and whoever can/wants to go will. It will work out!! You can always vent to us!
  16. Wow! I hadn't heard of this! Thanks for the info. Can you get other places "threaded" like your upper lip, or only eyebrows??
  17. Ummmm...I feel like a dork but, what is eyebrow threading?
  18. Very creative!! I love the little margarita cakes they are too cute! Thanks for the ideas!
  19. I agree with everyone else, that seems like way too much $$$ to have to carry around. I mean you would need 3 wallets for all the bills. Yikes!
