SWELLING IS GONE Woo hoo! I looked like a chipmunk the night before I had to go in, and I was pleasantly suprised that almost all of the swelling was gone by Tuesday night. My pain is pretty good at this point too. It doesn't hurt at all during the day, but I have noticed that I wake up in the middle of thenight with pain in that tooth.....this could be due to the fact that I'm a tooth grinder though. Anyways, thanks for keeping me relatively calm about everything girls, I thought I was going to come unglued there for a while! Whew! I'm very glad to hear everything went well. Shower tomorrow? Have fun!!!
  2. OMG! guys..... we've been BLOGGED!! I am so excited I can't sit still. I just had a nightmare last night about our wedding photos, so thank God the AMAZING Sascha Gluck posted these today. CancunPhotos by Sascha Gluck I am blown away!

  4. hey guys! i wanted to let you ladies know what happend to us- hopefully it'll help calm your nerves a little! we had 4 bags & my dress- we checked 2, and my mom had the other 2 for us, and i carried on the dress. we got red-lighted. the customs agent asked if 2 was all we had & i said yes (b/c i figured NO way would mom get red-lighted also). he opened the bags, looked through them quickly (they were our clothing and very little wedding stuff) and that was that. super easy. mom goes through with her 2 bags & our 2 bags (1 my clothes, 1 ALL wedding) she also gets red-lighted. CRAP! but they were very nice, opened, poked around a little, asked her if she was coming down for a wedding- she said yes, they closed the bags, that's it. they didn't ask for any receipts. good thing, because i had them, and trying to explain why i didn't claim the bags in the first place might have been tough. the other important note to add here is that i had just about $300 worth of merchandise, and did not have OOT bag stuff. i think that if they saw some of that stuff they would have wanted receipits. i did have: 24 raffia fans 50 plastic cups 20 wine toppers 30 4" starfish happy packing!
  5. hmm, during my TTD shoot I got bit by some little black ants, about 10 bites. I'm not sure what exactly they were, but my arm was swolen immediately which turned to blisters the next day, then scabs!! Now they're coming off (about a week later) and I have white spots all over my arm! YUCK! Sadly this experience did not give me any knowledge on how to deal with itchy bug bites, because my arm looks like hell. Don't pick or scratch- you'll end up like me. lol!
  6. I'm not stranger to oral surgery (i've had 4!) but I've never had a root canal. Mouths heal very quickly, and I think after 3 days you'll be feeling well enough to enjoy your shower. Don't stress too much.
  7. I just got married at the Iberostar Tucan in Playa del Carmen, and it was FANTASTIC. Wedding coordinator was amazing! Resort was beautiful, food great, service awesome. I highly recommend it! I'm planning to get a review and some pictures up soon.

I've been home for about 10 days now, and haven't even started my planning thread yet. I've been trying to catch up on life, and it's so nice to be able to just come home from a long day at work and lounge around not stressing about anything. Feels like I haven't been able to do that since we decided on a destination wedding 2 years ago! So maybe after I get my dress to the cleaners I'll start working on my planning thread, posting non-pro pics, and maybe a review.

I am a true blood fanatic & just finished the first book... moving on to #2. Now that wedding planning is officially over (2 years in the making!) I've got time to spend on other things I enjoy. I really liked the first book, and have heard only great things about the series. So I'll keep you guys updated.
  10. I'm back!!! Everything was amazing!!! I'll be sure to fill you ladies in as soon as I'm done unpacking & back in the swing of things.

  19. I just checked with our airline (AirTrans), and it's $15 to check your first bag, $25 for a second. But most importantly, they said it's no problem for me to carry on my dress. The agent said they don't have closets, so it'll have to go in an overhead bin... but that's okay by me!
  20. Here's what I've come up with. Many things were pieced in from this thread. Thanks Ladies!! It's a little different because we've been married for 2 years, and are doing a vow renewal. (First time exchanging rings though!! ) Opening and Welcome We are here today to participate in a most joyous occasion; to celebrate one of the greatest moments in life, by acknowledging the wedding of Theodore and Aimee. Today is a very special day in your lives. In the time you have been together your love and understanding of each other has grown and matured. You have decided to continue living your lives together as husband and wife, promising to face the future together, accepting whatever may lie ahead. What you promise today must be renewed constantly and re-decided each and every day. Love makes the burdens lighter, because you divide them. It makes joys much more intense because you will share them. It makes you stronger so you can reach out and become involved in life in ways you dared not risk alone. To attain such love, you will need to commit yourselves to each other freely and gladly for the sake of a richer and deeper life together. If you would have the foundation of your marriage be the devotion you have for one another, not just at this moment, but for all the days to come, then treasure the hopes and dreams that you bring here today. Establish that your love will never be blotted out by the common, not obscured by the ordinary in life. The covenant of marriage is one that can be entered into only by persons who are both legally and spiritually free to offer themselves to one another. Likewise, when you come to renew your vows of matrimony you must also come freely, for what you are saying is “ If I had to do this all over again, I would pick you”. Will you please, facing each other, now join hands? Theodore, Please repeat after me. I, Theodore, take you Aimee as my friend and my wife beside me and apart from me in laughter and in tears asking that you be no other than yourself loving and trusting you in all the ways that life may find us. I will continue to honor and love you all the days of my life. Aimee, Please repeat after me. I, Aimee, take you Theodore as my friend and my husband beside me and apart from me in laughter and in tears asking that you be no other than yourself loving and trusting you in all the ways that life may find us. I will continue to honor and love you all the days of my life. Exchanging of Rings May I have the rings. Notice that these rings are a perfect circle, with no beginning and no end. They represent the unconditional love that you have for one another. Let these rings serve as a bond between you and wear them with honor and pride, as they are a visible reminder of the vows and promises that you will make here today. Theodore, take this ring, and as you place it on Aimee’s finger, repeat after me: Theodore: This ring I give you, in token of my devotion and love, and with my heart, I pledge to you all that I am. With this ring I marry you again, and continue to join my life to yours. Aimee, take this ring, and as you place it on Theodore’s finger, repeat after me: Bride: This ring I give you, in token of my devotion and love, and with my heart, I pledge to you all that I am. With this ring I marry you again, and continue to join my life to yours. The engagement ring is a symbol of promise and intention. Now the intention is realized and the promise fulfilled. Theodore, place the engagement ring on Aimee’s finger over her wedding band to symbolize the love that brought you together. May this day shine eternally in your lives. May it add brilliance to every achievement and cast a light over any misfortune. May you care for each other in sadness. May you give cheer to each other. May you give vitality to each other in all undertakings. May all that is virtuous, beautiful, and honest, remain with you always. Love is a friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad. It settles for less than perfection, and makes allowances for human weakness. Love is content with the present. It hopes for the future and it doesn’t brood over the past. It’s the day-in and day-out chronicle of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you don’t have it, no matter what else there is, it is not enough, so search for it, ask God for it, and share it! You Theodore and Aimee have once again pledged your devotion to each other. From the time you first said, I do, you have chosen to love because you have made the commitment to be together. Your lives have been joined in one unbroken circle. Wherever you go may you always return to one another. May you continue to grow in understanding and in compassion. May the home that you have together continue to be full of love, laughter, family and friends. Pronouncement of Husband and Wife Because you Theodore and Aimee have once again exchanged your promises of faithful love, and because in our presence you also exchanged symbols, which make your covenant visible, we now recognize you again, as husband and wife. You may kiss your bride. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Theodore XXX
