Ok ladies - I did the video this morning! I really liked it too It seems like she knows what she's talking about with the 3 min strength, 2 min cardio, 1 min abs. I also really, really like how she does combo strength (arms and legs together). She says that when you just do arms then just do legs, you dont burn enough calories. Combine them and you can cut your workout time in half while keeping your heart rate up! I wore my heart monitor, but I guess I didnt push the "Start" button so it didn't give me my calories burned I will do it again tomorrow and let everyone know how many calories it tells me. Oh - and the hardest part for me was using the weights. Andi, I dont know how you did it with 10 lbs - I could barely do it with 3 lbs!! For some of the shoulder exercises, I grabbed even smaller weights (until I build up some strength). Guess I really need the strength training, haha.

The secret is...accepting the things that you can not control! When it comes to things you can't control, you really have 2 choices: accept it or get worked up about it. It sounds like you are letting things that you have no control over get you worked up. Unfortunately, that just zaps your energy but doesn't create anything positive. People get to behave however they want...and so do you. You get to decide if you will let other people's actions bother you. It's hard to do at first, but it gets really easy once you've learned how Remember we're here for you!

Have you considered doing the "Honeymoon Registry"? That way, people can buy you a leg of your flight or a boat ride or whatever, but essentially they are just putting cash into your account (paypal acct or whatever). You can really use the money for whatever you want - although they might ask for pics of your boat ride Or you could use their money for the HM and then you could save your money for your house. You can also set up a registry just like a HM one, but customize it. For example, you can do a "New Home Registry" and people can buy you "kitchen cabinet knobs" or "paint for the living room". It works the same way - they just give you the cash and you buy the knobs or paint.

I got my dvd today!!!! I think I will watch the intro tonight so I can start the 30-day shred tomorrow morning I have BD pics in about 45 days, so I'm committed! The cover says "Lose up to 20 pounds in 30 days" - if I can lose 5 I will be happy!

I did see a bonfire, which has food and drink service. I think it was $600 for the bonfire and $20 per person for the food/drink service. That is an option for a kinda private setting - but its not a sit down meal. It was pretty neat, but I didnt want to spend another $1000 on it.

Hey girls~ I am getting ready to do my BD shoot! A little scared but excited too I know we had mentioned sharing the costs of a hotel room, so I am starting this thread so we can discuss. I want to do my shoot in February - either Saturday Feb 7th, Feb 21st or Feb 28th. My wedding is in March so I can't do it any later than February (gotta have time to get the book!). Oh - I'm also open to doing it during the week if that works better for anyone. If anyone is interested in sharing the cost of a room, let me know. I would love to use Hotel ZaZa ($170 a night), but am open to suggestions! I am using Jeremy Gilliam (dallasboudoir.com). He's fantastic! All of our guests booked themselves - so we didn't use a TA. When I did contact a TA for prices, she gave me the exact same price I found on Travelocity, Orbitz or Expedia. Some of our guests booked through the resort - it seemed like some days they were cheaper and other days they were more exensive. I couldn't find a pattern or anything

Most of the wedding videos I've seen are mainly video over music. The 2 things I would like to have real sound on is the ceremony and the speeches (my friends make awesome speeches). The resort will shoot our ceremony (with mics), so I'm hoping our recorder will grab the sound from the speeches. The speaker will have a regular microphone (sound system mic), but I'm a bit nervous out the wind noise. If we can get a camera with a mic, we can clip it to the speakers shirt or something to help.

I don't know if any restaurant can accomodate that many people in a private setting. You can always sit at different tables, but all eat at the same time. The Italian restaurant has a private room, but it looked like it could hold 20, maybe 30. I would ask Alejandra. She probably has some possibilities, I just dont know. We are just meeting up after everyone eats on their own. That way they can go where they want and sit in smaller groups so the service wont be as slow. Not that service is slow, but when you have a large group it takes longer to eat, ya know?

I've been to 2 weddings that used sparklers (I dont know what kind) and here is what I suggest - make sure you have plenty of room for your "walk-way". Sparklers shoot off hot ash, so people hold them away from their clothes, etc. Which means they aim them towards the "walk-way" where you will be walking. The first wedding I went to was around a pool, so people had no where to go (a step back and they went into the pool!). The bride was so scared she would ruin her dress with hot ash, she waited until the sparklers burned out before she walked down the walk-way. I dont blame her at all, but it kinda missed the point of having sparklers The other wedding was a bigger party, so people were a little more drunk. The guys ended up holding the sparklers towards each other and I remember seeing several burns. It was funny, because they had done it to themselves and the burns werent bad, but the girls were scared to death so they all ran to the other side of the lawn. I think they look great, you just need to have plenty of room so people can spread out!

I might have the minority opinion here, but I think that the trip is their vacation too. At least that is the attitude I'm taking with my guests. I get my wedding day, not their entire vacation. Since people are spending quite a bit to go on a vacation that I picked out for them, I'm ok sharing with what they want to do. If your friend really does want to get engaged on a beach and cant afford to go on another beach vacation, this is her only chance. I sent both - an STD and a magnet to put it on the fridge with. The magnet just had a pic of the beach, our names and the date so they could keep it as a keepsake on their fridge if they wanted. I got lots of compliments and no complaints!

I did my own DIY STD and printed on vistaprint. First, I created the card in Microsoft Publisher. I put a background image with white border, a pic of us and our info (we only included the date and place - the rest of the info was on our website). Then, on vistaprint, I selected the postcard size "blank template" and uploaded my image. I will suggest that you get the dimensions before you create the image or you might have to adjust several times so it looks right. I was pleased with the way they turned out...here is it:

I am going to use 3rd party editing as well. We didnt want to spend another $1000 on a professional videographer. My FI doesnt think we will watch it that often anyway I found a local guy who will edit our footage for $200. His work looks great and he will include photographs as well and set it all to music. I found him using google and going to lots of websites. As far as the camcorder, we are going to buy one but FI gets to pick it out. I will let you know what he decides. There are tons of reviews on every camcorder, so just do your research

I made mine using Microsoft Publisher. I created a box and filled it with a neutral color with a yellow tint. Then I added my favorite pictures and I used the font from our STDs for our names to bring it all together. Then I saved the whole thing as an image. Easy, breezy!
