  1. I did not consider Dreams Puerto Aventuras because it is not adults only. We dont have any children guests, so we definitely wanted adults only. Also, I belive DPA is a bit south of Playa del Carmen, but not quite to Tulum. One thing you should consider is the travel time from the airport to DPA. Its about 25-35 minutes from the airport to Secrets. It would be about 45 mins to an hour (Im guessing) to DPA. That is another reason we choose Secrets - its a quick trip from the airport. Let us know if you have any other questions at all!!
  2. Oh - I dont know about amending or the specifics on the stimulus package. I am going to research!
  3. This is an old thread...but there is an entire thread on Secrets Capri and one on Secrets Maroma in the Riviera Maya section
  4. You dont automatically get more for being married. But you do get to combine income to determine your tax bracket. Example (not accurate tax rates): if one of you makes $200k a year, they would be in the highest tax bracket (say 35%). The other only makes $10k (so lowest tax bracket - 15%). Together, you make $210k - which for a couple puts you in the middle tax bracket - 25%. So essentially, the $10k worker helps drop the $200k worker out of the highest tax bracket, hence "more money back for being married". This is only true if you have really different incomes. If you make $60k and he makes $70k, you wont see any difference from filing together vs. filing single. If you did have a house and deductibles and kids, that would all make a difference. Hope that helped some! Disclaimer: Im not a tax accountant, guru or anything This is just what I know from a tax class years ago.
  5. They look great!! You both look so happy. I live in Dallas too - where did you shoot?

  7. Ok - so everyday, plus whatever else. I guess I can do that for 30 days (or 60 really) before my wedding I usually do either a video, yoga or pilates in the morning and run after work, so I guess I will stick with the Shred in the mornings! I really like how limber I get from yoga & pilates so I will have to work those in sometime....oh, there aren't enough hours in the day!

Oh, I wish I could see a video When I was a cheerleader, we did a routine to "check baby, check baby 1234" (whatever that song is) and I relive it every time!! It was really hard to find stuff because Im not really a sex-pot kinda gal. Im still working on that! OMG - I cant imagine a fire too! Although I have always wanted to try "hot yoga" (Bickram yoga). But you prepare yourself for that! General Question - how often are we supposed to be doing the Shred? I'm worried that 5 days a week (I work out before work) will be too much and I should throw in a day or 2 of yoga or pilates or something else. But I want to lose weight! So...does the 30-Day Shred mean 30 days in a row?
  9. Congratulations!! You look gorgeous! Cant wait to hear all about it, but have fun in Hawaii

I guess I'm just stressing that I'm not going to like what I end up with. Maybe I should wait to worry about that until AFTER I see the pics! lol Oh well, I guess even after your wedding there are wedding things to stress about. I totally feel you! Our e-pics were the first "pro" pics for us and it was awkward. FI is really goofy in front of the camera. The photog took over 1300 photos - and I really like about 30 of them!! Then I think about model photo shoots and how they go all day for 1 freaking picture. Of course that's the cover shot, but that's not my point My point is that you really only need a handful of great ones because in reality, you are not going to frame 50 or 60 pictures If the photog was good, she got some that captured the spirit of the day! Dont worry, and of course post as soon as you get them!!
  12. Beautiful!! Really very flattering and pretty Good job!

Yes - that's when mine are! I'm on a diet called "you can eat that after the wedding". Haha My co-worker brought homemade carrot cake in today - its so hard to resist!! I will let you know about the calories burned!!
  16. My BDs are at the end of February. I pretty much have 30 days from right now I did the level 1 workout this morning but kinda took it easy since I had been sick. My heart monitor said I burned 184 calories. That's just based on heart rate, and not muscle/strength training so Im not sure what the total cals burned would be.
  17. We had our e-pics taken on November 16th and just got them back! It's a long story and I will probably post a review on the photog. Anyway, here they are: Just a few more...
