  2. I agree - send the STDs with just the month! That gives them the "heads up" so they can save. Also, know that lots of people will say "yeah - we will come" but when it comes down to booking, they wont have the money, time, etc. I dont know what the percentage is - I think it depends on how many you invite.
  3. Best Tip Ever: right after the "removal" of the strip/wax, apply PRESSURE! My first waxer did this and it worked so well. My new waxer (because I moved) doesnt really do it, so I do it myself and it still work wonders! Oh, and know that you will be in odd positions and its a little odd...but they are professionals and do it all day long Good luck...you will love it!
  4. Go to youtube and search for "Rock the Reception". It will give you some ideas!!
  5. This company is local here in Dallas and great. Some might be too prom-ish, but there are some possibilities depending on what you are looking for. I didnt see one over $15! Sam Moon Trading Online Also a great site for jewelry!!
  6. Our decor and invitations are centered around our "lime" theme. FI really loves limes (limeade, lime sherbert, lime anything) and since limes are everywhere in Mexico, it made it easy! Our color is green and our centerpieces will have limes in the vase. Not hard and it seems to really pull everything together!
  7. Hey ladies! I have 2 pair of really cute shoes for sale. I bought 5 pair to try on at my final fitting and now I have to sell some of them! Haha. I’ve had them for more than 30 days so I can’t return them to the store. Neither pair have ever been worn (only tried on at the fitting) and both are a size 7 1/2. I can ship as soon as you need and if you buy both, I will pay for shipping! First Pair: Super cute beachy heels – perfect for a DW! They have a cluster of shells on the toe (see pics). Brand: Bandolino Color: Ivory Satin Size: 7 ½ Heel Height: approx. 2 ½ inches (the comfy height!) Cost: $30 + shipping Second Pair: Strappy goddess sandals. Really cute and comfortable! Brand: Naughty Monkey Color: like a rose gold – slightly metallic with a pink tint. Not overpowering, but eye-catching Size: 7 ½ Cost: $25 + shipping I forgot to get a picture of the bottom, but I promise they have never been worn! Let me know if you have any questions!

  10. Welcome! My FI went to Stevens so I know all about Hoboken We're getting married in the Riviera Maya in March! There's a ton of information here, so check it all out.
  11. Me too - I dont really care for the "traditional" way. But I dont think I can do this bc our chairs have to be covered. Oh well, here is a bigger pic: And here are 2 more pics of fuschia weddings Jamie...

Thanks girls! I think it is the only idea that I've actually come up with for the wedding Everything else is "borrowed". I just didnt want people to feel like they had to bring a gift...and I didnt want to get a lot of lingerie that doesnt fit. My party theme is a sassy cocktail party. My friends are pretty funny and wild. My MOH's want still want to have people bring novelty gifts (fuzzy handcuffs, etc) so here is the wording: It’s time for the ladies to mix and mingle These are Ashli's last days of being single Time is ticking and the bells will soon chime Let’s get sassy while there is still time! A Cocktail Party for YOUR NAME Day, Date, Year Line Instead of panties, braziers and nighties galore We have a new way to stock her lingerie drawer Bring some small bills for the game we will play And a silly or naughty gift to make her day! The MOH's swear the novelty gifts are the funniest part of the party. I'm letting them do whatever they want
  14. OMG - I just realized that with the wording - "no gifts, but bring some small bills for a fun game" - people might think there's going to be a stipper! Crap!!!
  15. I'm doing the slumber party thing too! Were making it a "girls night in" and having drinks and games. It is definitely a low budget party - I didnt want my girls spending more money when they are already paying to come to the wedidng! A few ideas - Have games that arent "traditional". No one is making a toilet paper wedding dress, but we will have a Sex and the City trivia game with good prizes (we all love that show). Rather than having a lingerie shower, we are having a game where everyone gets 5 $1 bills when they get to the party. Each dollar counts as a vote, and the guests can contribute as much as they want over the $5 we give them (the invitations say something like "no gifts, but bring some small bills for a fun game"). There will be 3 or 4 lingerie outfits (ones you wouldnt normally buy) and the girls get to vote on which they like the best by putting their dollars into the corresponding jars. Whichever outfit gets the most votes (dollars) is the one I have to buy. The outfits are going to be like a sexy maid or something - dress up outfits that are kinda silly but still fun. All the extra votes/money has to be used on other honeymoon lingerie as well - but it can be regular teddies and such. We are doing this so no one has to feel bad if they cant afford to by a gift. They can still play and whoever can afford extra "votes" can contribute money without feeling they are just giving me an envelope of money. For my friends party that I'm throwing, we are going to a drag show. If you've never been, they are a party and so much fun But I agree - do something you like doing!
  16. Question - do any of you have a final head count? Several of our guests are still iffy. For those that dont have a final head count...what are you doing about ordering OOT bags and goodies? I have about 8 people that are "maybe"s. Do I order a bag for them or not? Should I play the odds and get 4 - thinking half will come, half wont? I want to get the OOT bags done by the end of February which means I need to to order by the end of January. Any thoughts? thanks!
  17. I agree with everyone else - Walmart, PO vending machines, drug stores, etc sell them. You can look up what's close to the Cheesecake Factory and call ahead to make sure. Check the international postage rate for your rsvp card as well. You may have to buy a 10-pack of 42 cent stamps (the standard postage) and then just put more than 1 stamp since the international rate is more than 42 cents.
  18. Can you do a "community" invitation and put it on the break room fridge or something? That's what I did, but we only have 6 people in our office. I talked to each one and told them that they were welcome to come, but I didnt "expect" them to come (the nice way - not the "I dont think you will come" way). As your date approaches, you will see that even though people say they will come, when it comes to actually booking they wont/dont/cant. I cant imagine people you barely know booking a vacation to your DW. But if they did - would that be a bad thing? If I were you, I wouldn't want to create any drama by leaving out just a few people in such a small group. Keep the drama away from the office
  19. I watched - I kinda agree about the Naomi actress...except it doesnt bother me, it just makes me not care! Any time she's upset (which is always!), I dont care. I dont buy into it and that is the worst thing an actress can do! I dont want to watch anymore because I always roll my eyes at it, but I still do (while playing on BDW). I call every story line (drug girl being pregnant, Brenda not being able to have kids, etc) so FI doesnt understand why i even watch I probably watch just because I like to sing the theme song - haha!

And your FI's family will know because your family will be talking about it. What a C-U-Next-Tuesday! Seriously... uninvite her. (or give one of your girlfriends a nice big glass of red wine to have an "accident" with before you walk down the aisle... all over her dress!) I totally agree with Becks - even about the "accident" with the wine..haha

I eat about 1200-1400 calories a day, and mostly healthy food (rarely eat out, bring my own lunch to work, chicken and fresh veggies for dinner). I'm really good at maintaining, but I have to work a little harder to actually lose. But if you need motivation - book at BD shoot!! Haha
  22. We're doing a personal size, soft side cooler for the guys. That way they can use it at home too. We have about 25 guests, so its do able in our budget
  23. Ohhh...I might have something for you! I have Kat's (Kat81) TTD: I'm want to wear it in March, but I could ship it to you afterwards if you are interested. Its a size 4 - pretty true to size I think. Its in great shape, and I would make sure it stays that way during my shoot Let me know if you're interested!
