Oooh oooh! I can finally post pics of the ensemble. LOL! FI wore a kind of light tan suit from Mexx. We got him a shirt at some random store. The tie was pink. It didn't go with the BM dresses, IMO, but it didn't matter in the end. Unfortunately, the shoes I got for him he didn't wear (he couldn't find them... I am mildly suspicious. They were in our luggage). I think he looked really nice! DH with his mom before the ceremony: After the ceremony -it's hard to see, but the suit had little lines/ridges on it. It looked very good: We were both barefoot on the beach for the ceremony and pics.

That's an incredible deal!!! Especially for how long it is - that's a lot of material! I got mine for $24 ($30 after shipping).... it was cheap, but it doesn't really matter. It looks nice in the pics and it stayed on and went with my dress. That's the important part. If I had had a more simple dress, I would have loved to go with a very fancy $$$ veil, but it wasn't the way it went for me.

We had a beautiful arch - not like the one that Maura posted above! But we weren't at a Dreams place so I don't know if they'd be able to do it this way. The rest of the aisle was decorated with tiki torches (which they never lit... not sure why). I even got to watch the guys make it - and cut down the coconuts for the decoration.

Ummm yeah. My freaking father did this to me. I was so stressed out about it... I started thinking of how the ceremony would be if he didn't make it. My aunt and her daughter also did this. Told me about their tickets 1 week before the wedding. Ultimatelyt here's not much you can do. I managed to make them OOT bags, but if people want to wait that long, they can't really expect much, KWIM?

I have 2 sisters and DH has 1 brother. If his bro hadn't been such a flake, he would have asked his bro and my 2 sisters would have been on my side. Uneven. As it was, he didn't have anyone and I had 2 BMs (my 2 sisters) and one stood on my side and one stood on DH's side. Why don't you have your 3 sisters be your BMs and your FI have his dad be his groomsman. Have 2 sisters on your side and 1 next to your FI's dad. It doesn't have to be even or properly matched. I'm so glad I had my sisters be my BMs. I didn't have a MOH. I could never pick b/w them. They were just so happy to be up there with me and no one ever asked why we did what we did. Do what feels right.
