  1. No, of course you don't need to wear anything you don't want to!!! In terms of style,, you could go with something a bit different and try to style waves into your hair or if you're not going to do anything with your hair or put anything in it, maybe you could wear some fantastic earrings for bling. If you're open to trying different accessories (other than tiaras), you could try wearing a thin headband (almost invisible) with something fun for the side on it like flowers, crystals or feathers Or an actual clip/fascinator headpieces, like the following: They'd give some nice colour too! I think this one is gorgeous - by LoBoheme (Etsy) Even if you're not someone who likes to stand out, don't sell yourself short - be sure that you will feel special and glamorous enough on your WD!
  2. Not overreacting, you're just oversensitive because you're a btb. Totally understandable A proposal ideally shoudn't be something anyone can overthink. She's kind of ruining it for herself by 'demanding' that it happen a certain time and place. But that's not your problem. Hopefully it'll be great for them. They'll have a great vacation, get engaged and attend your wedding. Worst case for them is that no one will really pay that much attention to their engagement because the wedding is the focal point
  3. Hmmmm.... I suppose that could happen, if your dress isn't too big and doesn't have too much fabric. Do you like the way it looks? Is it how she showed you it would look? Mine was very heavy and the hooks were super small and they didn't look like they'd hold it up, but it held up beautifully. Mind you, I think my dres had 16 bustles

  5. OMG Tracy, that is so crappy I decided at the last minute that my dress wasn't right for me and walked into a salon and found a gorgeous 2nd dress with less than a month to go - so it's totally possible! You'll do great. Here's hoping that you find something even more beautiful and (much more) wearable.
  6. I'm just getting caught up: this is true right? And they are also adopting? They're lucky, rich, beautiful and smart people and if they're happy that rocks, but seriously, how can she devote enough attention to each child when all she does is continue to go out and get more babies And what's with them adopting when she's about to give birth?
  7. Ouch! They look great, Calia. Where did Tony get his? Same place? How painful was it? I'm a mega-wimp.
  8. Hey - these are awesome! Your review was great and you both looked fabulous! I love your dress and the groomsmen's outfits were really nice too. Very good too that you liked Cecilia. Her pics look fantastic.
  9. I'm not sure if this will work, but let's try a longer word this time (5 letters). And let's allow up to 2 letters changed. Rules: Change 1 or 2 letters You can scramble the letters Make a new word Let's try! First word; STEAM
  10. Ok, so I went to the doctor today and it was a little traumatic He had to put his finger up my butt Basically, from inside nothing hurt so htere isn't an infection he could find. He thinks it's my sacrum which was too high up to check from inside. It was the only part that hurt. So it's higher up than the end of your tailbone. It could be a stress fracture It could be simply from sitting a certain way or from constipation. "The sacrum is a large, triangular bone at the base of the spine and at the upper and back part of the pelvic cavity, where it is inserted like a wedge between the two hip bones" He gave me an xray test to do and some kind of anti-constipation drug. Since we're TTC, he said both were ok to do, but if I didn't want to yet, to try to just have natural stuff (prune juice) and that if when the constipation was gone it still hurts to get the xray done and they'd look into it further. He was a sports medicine guy (i went to a drop in) and he seemed like he was a little purplexed. I've been really careful about not sitting on it and being more gentle, so it's not as bad as yesterday but I was in the car for a while today... It sucks! But at least I've seen someone about it.

That is seriously weird... we are TTC right now, but I really think I"m going to get my period this month. I did a test this morning and it was negative. May be too early... I'll know in a few days either way. Maybe the doctor will test me with a blood test. It's such a weird achy pain. I bet it's hard for anyone to understand unless you've felt it...
  12. Just wondering if any of you have any experience with this. It's been about 3 days now that I think I have bruised my tailbone. I'm not sure how it could hvae happened. I have been sitting a lot more than normal, vegging on the couch with DH watching movies in a slouched position. Other than that I haven't fallen or anything... The only other thing which may be TMI is that I've been pretty constipated for the past week and a bit... It started suddenly - I think I got up and had a pretty severe ache in my butt area. It was weird. It's terrible when I stand up and sit down. At night it really bothers me when I'm sleeping, but I now am able to make ure I turn over via my stomach instead of my back. I went to the gym yesterday to run and it was achy, but not terrible, but then afterward when I was doing errands it was hell getting in and out of the car. It's the weirdest pain because it's not sharp, but it's an immediate ache that makes me gasp. I feel like I'm complaining a lot and it's pretty constant. I'm totally worried now about going back to work next week. I've been sitting on a neck rest iwth the gap at the back and that helps. I'm trying to keep off of it as much as possible. I'm planning on going to the doctor soon. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this?
  13. cent: neat I agree! I am definitely warmed up
  14. I walked in too and wish I'd gone here... instead, we went to a small hole in the wall (literally) on 5th avenue and had a bad experience with nails. Go for it! There's a lot to be said for a professional-looking place with a website.
  15. I like the flower a lot. Can you take a pic of how you were going to put it with the sash so we can get an idea of how it looks? I'm not a fan of the sash, but I don't see how else you could wear the flower. Also, how are you going to wear your hair?
  16. Congratulations, Dave and welcome to the forum. Glad to hear you have such a great TA. I'm sure it'll all work out for you both
