  1. We did it! I can't even remember the date but it was about a month before our wedding in Mexico. NO ONE knows about it. We found some witnesses in the lobby of the courthouse (a bunch of nurse students). It was a lot of fun. In Mexico, our planner and the minister knew. They provided us with a document during the ceremony that we and our wedding party signed. I feel a little guilty in a way, but as long as no one finds out I'm sure it'll be fine. Even if they do eventually, it's all done now and our wedding in Mexico was amazing. Everyone's still talking about it! We did it for the following reasons: - wanted to save on bloodwork and hassle of translating documents (about $700) - we really wanted an English ceremony we chose. If we'd done the legal down in Mexico, it would have been a Spanish legal ceremony, which we really didn't like. The English one we wrote was very meaningful to us.

I bought Aquafresh White Trays (about $30) for my wedding... I used about 3 days' worth and it burned my gums severely. There was a little bit of pain at first, but not bad. It was horrific though - my gums were red, swollen and had white bits on them where they were burned. It really scared the crap out of me. On the other hand, this brand really whitened my teeth, even in 3 days. The burning went away in a day. Ugh. If you're not too sensitive. Try these out. I have 10 trays left. I'll never use them again!
  3. I think it would have been a blast to do the TTD pics, but we just didn't have the money. We wanted to pay off the wedding as we went and we managed it! Ditto for the BD shoot. If we'd had an extra couple thousand, I would have done both Now I'm saving up to do a BD shoot with a preggo belly - hopefully in the summer!
  4. That's gonna look amazing in the water! Great deal - congrats!
  5. peers - spelt (that's some kind of grain, right? )
  6. Here is ours, at the Shangri-La Caribe. They did a great job. I sent an inspiration pic that was 3 layers square and asked for 2 layers round with roses. I loved it and it was delicious!

  8. 8 months. We booked in May for December. We didn't buy our flights though until August! That stressed me out a bit
  9. Beautiful, Angel! Handsome man you have too! I love your dresses - and the sexy one in your siggy pic too? Did you change for the reception? Thanks for sharing
  10. I'm totally with you on the importance of Thank Yous. I actually had most of my shower ones done before we left for the wedding and all my wedding ones done within 2 months, but then again we had a very small wedding. But I did have 2 showers.

  12. Have you painted the office yet, Calia? Just curious and as usual, wanting pics!!!
  13. Our group was very small. If it had been bigger, I probably would have had a big event before the wedding. The way it worked for us was that a lot of the people were at different resorts too, so it was very difficult to see them. Before we left we arranged a few things. We said that on one day we'd be at a certain restaurant for lunch and whoever wanted to join, was welcome. One couple came by earlier that day to see us and joined us, and Dh's parents, but no one else came. Wednesday we said we'd be doing a day trip to Xcaret. My sister came with us from our hotel and we were supposed to meet another couple, but that didn't happen. No one else came. Everyone did their own thing. I was frustrated that people didn't show for the thigns we'd planned, but I guess they all had their own things going on and as long as they were happy, I'm happy. 2 of my best friends who came (my only best friends who came) didn't come to anything. They didn't even come to the early day of the wedding to where we were all getting ready (my sisters were my bm's). I was stunned. But it was their holiday and they did their own thing. So I guess by all means, plan one or two things, but don't exhaust yourself worrying. Plan ahead and if you need to, introduce them to others they may like, but ultimately they can do their own thing. Good luck!

Are there fertility foods? FF is very confusing at first. It's so weird. It's not as easy and user friendly as bdw. There's no mq function, you can't search, etc. it's like the same info gets asked over and over again, so it can be a bit annoying, but the charting is so fun and addictive What's your name on there? You should come and join us all! Good luck everyone! I know I haven't been on bdw much lately. I'm going to try to get back into it this week.
  15. - I was take it or leave it on the cake. DH had to have a cake and a nice one too! I was happy about that - He was very adamant that we not see eachother the day of. He ended up being ok with us sharing a room the night before and having breakfast together though. - He had to wear a suit. I said a long sleeved shirt would be fine, but he refused. Hey - none of these mattered at all. He looked fantastic and all went really well!
  16. Ames - I'm a little late on this but you were a beautiful bride! I love your non-pro pics. You're just gorgeous. Shoes are super cute too. Congrats!!!
  17. That's super exciting! I'm so jealous My mom and sister live in Melbourne. It's a really nice city!
