  1. Well ladies, I am off in 3 days. I appreciate all that you have done. You have fueled me with so much information and that has gave me the preparation I need to have a gorgeous and relaxing wedding. I still feel like I am missing something, or I haven't did something...but oh well. I am just so excited to get to Jamaica and to marry my best friend. So thanks to everyone who helped me or just to the ladies that posted such helpful information, I greatly appreciate everything. 2 more things...how long will it take for me to get my marriage license, and up until then...am I a Ms or a Mrs? Do I sign my name as what my last name was or the future name? And, should I be worried that the whole week I am going to be there (including the wedding day) there are scattered thunderstorms? Does that mean it is going to rain the whole time I am there Okay, so back to the farewell. I will be back with great pictures and a detailed review. I apologize I didn't post pics of me in the dress, the 3-ring, or any planning pics...I simply did not have any time and now it is all packed up. I'm sure I could take pics before I distribute the OOT bags. Anyways, if you ladies need anything...hit me up now because I won't have access to a computer after Wed. You can email me at [email protected].
  2. Enjoy...we are getting married at the ROR on June 14, 2008...
  3. Yeah what options do we have for the free wedding?
  4. I have something like that already for my candles...so I just buy way chunks or break up candles?
  5. Yeah I have heard it was on Saturdya, but we are going off of the same idea...to save money, just have everyone go to the party. We are still planning on doing that, if it is cancelled, we have our Bose Soundock, we will post up somewhere and play music and dance and what not.
  6. My DH makes alot less than me, so I guess that puts me in the minority. We moved to this small town in Indiana for my job, and since we are recent graduates (Me Dec 05 and him May 06) he doesn't have any experience under his belt and there are very limited opportunities here for him. I feel bad for him, because I know he wants so much more for us. He even went out and worked two full time $10/hour jobs to help out more... it does help, but the majority of the bills are on my shoulders... He is a good guy and helps out alot around the house. I just wish we find an area with alot more opportunity and a bigger city to enjoy with each other...like Atlanta...lol
  7. I know exactly what you are going through...my FH doesn't have any family members tending and I only have my mom and brother...everyone else is family. But we have had a total of 4 groomsmen drop out and 4 bridesmaids drop out for all sorts of reasosn. Luckily the folks that were already coming stepped up and wanted to be in the wedding party. Everything happens for a reason, but what is most important is that you and your hubby are there... Just focus on you guys and don't worry about anyone else, whoever wants to be there will be and the others, you will see when you get back. ok? and don't hold grudges...i have to tell myself that everyday.
  8. Looks like you had a blast...I hope mine turns out just as fun... (I guess I am not supposed to really know about it...ah well)
  9. I agree with Davematthews16, I wouldn't try it for the first time on your wedding... you don't want to look back on pictures and not really recognize yourself because of such a drastic change... or try them out for a while...
  10. Hey Court, I wanna see your pics...not the fancy ones, but the everyday pics while you were in Jamaica...kinda like the one you posetd above. I value those more because it shows how everyone's experience is different...
  11. Yeah I don't wair extensions either. I say you do a trial run with one of the beauticians and if you don't like it, just do something simple and elegant yourself. I have physically grown my hair out more without going to the shop (it's been at least 3 years.) I have really trained my hair, and if you are like me...no matter who does your hair, you can probably make it look better... So try out some styles that you can duplicate and use that as your back up plan.
  12. I don't know if I said this already...but this was a really good revew. We have a week til we leave for ROR and I feel 80% confident of everything...still have some loose ends to tie up...
  13. Where do you get those waz melter thingies
  14. Welcome back...what's the link to the review section
  15. Yeah I was worried because I had sent mine and I hadn't heard anything, so I scanned and emailed a copy because she said that would be okay since no one knew where my papers were. After I emailed them, she received them so now she has 2 copies. I am sure she will let you scan and email them, then just bring them with you when you go.
  16. Welcome back. Can't wait to see pics and read your review.
  17. Yolanda you look absolutely gorgeous... Who did you hair? I want to do my hair like that in case the curls don't work with the humidity and all...
  18. I am sorry for your expreience but I appreciate you rhonesty, that way brides like myself can know what to look out for and what to expect. You looked beautiful ad I loved the cake topper.
