In other news, today I'm moving all my stuff to our new condo where Graeme has been living since October! Yay!!!!!
  2. So I leave on Thursday morning and I'm feeling like I'm almost ready. I just re-packed all of my clothes for the trip. We're flying with Sunwing and their baggage restrictions are pretty nuts. We're only allowed to bring 2 bags each and neither can be more than 20lbs. Needles to say I just took all my clothes out of my fancy new suitcase and put it in a duffle bag. I managed to pack another 8lbs! Here's what's still left to do: Edit and print Meet the Guests Print engagement photo of G and I for sand ceremony frame Buy light colored underwear (x3) for dresses Get tissue for OOT bags confirm videotaping, buy tapes buy and burn cd's for wedding music pick up and ensure wedding bands buy more votives get manicure and pedi- Jan 12 - 8:00 hair trial Jan 13 - 5:30 get gifts for tips distribute items for wedding party to bring What am I forgetting??
  3. We just got ours from Costco. We got a set of 5 Swiss Army pieces for $150.
  4. I know many of the girls here (including myself)have made boudoir books of themselves for their FH's. I'm also giving mine a guitar that he's had his eye on for a long time.

Go to Michaels, get these little glue dots called Zots. They can be found in the scrapbooking section. Seriously, so handy. By satin ribbon stuck on perfectly with only one or two zots per fan! Good luck!
  6. Welcome to the forum, be sure to check out the Cuba wedding threads!
  7. Maybe I'll try to pick up a hipscarf with coins, adding pretty things can't hurt right??
  8. The towels were $6 at Walmart. I simply folded over the top about 2 inches and sewed a casing. Inserted elastic and sewed into the back to make an elastic panel. On the front I sewed a piece of velcro. They were super easy and quick. A friend monogrammed them for me.
  9. I think it's perfect, that lace and sparkles will be gorgeous on the beach!
  10. I'd totally be in, I need to start getting friends married so I can help them! I can totally feel that there's gonna be a weird withdrawl time when I get all done with this wedding stuff. So the belly dancing class was kinda lame. It's just through a rec centre so it wasn't too crazy. Unfortunately I have my mani/pedi appointment next week and the week after I'll be at my own wedding!!! I guess I'll have some catching up to do when I get back!
  11. It's beautiful, that style is going to look amazing you!! I am so glad you found something, now you can enjoy the next twelve days getting ready for your wedding. Congrats!!
  12. Okay, so today I made arrangements to get my ring to our jewler (who says it'll be done with lots of time before we leave) Bought travel and cancellation insurance (better late than never) Received my BD book in the mail And made an appointment to get my car fixed (booo) I feel productive, tonight is my first belly dancing lesson, wish me luck!

Haha, thanks for the info!

I'll be jealous thinking of you on my way home from Cuba!
  16. I've just been told that I can't bring any electronics to cuba... ipods, laptops, walkie-talkies... Is this true? If so that presents some pretty serious challenges! Anyone have more info?
  17. Yeah, I've been working on tons of stuff but not actually getting much completed. I think I'm also kinda saving up my posts to do one big Planning thread next weekend. I also thought I'd have the next two weeks of lessons all planned and prepped but I'm not even close. It's gonna be a hectic two weeks
  18. I can't believe it! I'm just in the process of going over all my many to-do lists to make a master list and try to delegate a bunch of stuff. I'm also going back to school tomorrow (to teach) which is going to make getting things done a lot more difficult. Keep me posted on what you're getting done, maybe we can motivate each other!
  19. AH, Amanda this time in two weeks it'll be the night before my wedding. I have all the same things to do you as you do, I think without the t-shirts. The other thing I have to do is squeeze in a dance class for FI and I. If that doesn't happen our first dance could be very interesting. Good luck with all your to-do's. Don't forget to delegate and nix things completely from your list if it'll help you stress less!
  20. Wow, gorgeous! I love the one of you floating in the water where it's all dark and mysterious.
  21. Congrats! Can't wait to read and see all the details!
  22. Great photos! Adorable fur babies!
  23. I think blue shoes would be very cute. I am wearing some nifty blue underwear that I personalized to say "Mrs. XXX" and I borrowed a starfish bouquet jewel.
