  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bulging Brides!! How do you wait until weeks before your wedding to start working out?? Guess I'll have to wait and see if I can keep these workouts up!
  2. My FI and I were originally looking at Huatulco, MX but are now also seriously considering Cuba. I've heard the food is less than awesome? Anyone have an opinion? We're looking for AI, children allowed, pool bar, private reception, and a ceremony are where we can wear shoes (possibly by a pool). Suggestions? p.s. I'm thrilled that someone started this thread!
  3. I totally agree! We are looking at Las Brisas in Huatulco Mexico and they are quoting us $90/person! It's an all inclusive resort. I understand there are extra costs involved but that seems really steep!

I just bought those dresses for my girls, in the same colour and everything! How did they fit (big/small)? Also, do you have any wedding pictures with the BM's in them? I would love to see how they ended up looking.
  5. I totally get the same thing!!! I'm a teacher and whenever I have meetings with parents of my students I wear turtle neck sweaters because I know I'll just be a big red blotchy mess! It never used to be this bad but it seems to be getting worse. I was reading a little blurb in a magazine about skin getting red because of nerves and it suggested not taking a hot shower (as it brings blood cells closer to the surface), and even using a cold compress before the event. I'm going to try and test this out. Otherwise I'm thinking about asking my doctor for some sort of anti-anxiety med to try out before the wedding. Maybe if I can just be super mellow my skin won't freak out. p.s. In addition to the red blotches I also sometimes get tiny puffy patches that are itchy on my eyelids. These only happen when I'm EXTREMELY stressed. You? It's good to hear I'm not the only one.
  6. Rebecca, that dress looks stunning on you! Sure makes a difference when the cups are filled out
  7. Well, at least I've kinda ruled out #3. #1 was the style I had in mind all along and I thought #2 was going to be horrible until I tried it on. I'm still really torn. At least I've got you guys and lots of time left decide. I'll keep you updated! Thanks for all of the lovely and flattering comments. I guess if it can look okay when I don't have hair or makeup done, then I shouldn't be worried about how it will look on the big day.

I feel comfortable in both, although it's hard to tell when they're so big. I wish the first dress had straps. I'm a little nervous about pulling my dress up all night. I'm thinking it wouldn't be too difficult to add little cap sleeves a la Davids Bridal.

I am of no help to you, sorry but you are a pretty girl who looks great in everything. Did you get a excited feeling in one over another? That usually decides the direction you will go in. I keep thinking I'm feeling that "special feeling" but then I try another dress and they're all so beautiful. I'm putting off making any decision till I get to David's Bridal (4 hours from my house). I want to check there only because their prices and selection seem so great. If I don't buy one there I'll be coming back for either number 1 or 2, I think...
  11. Thanks ladies, after testing out the poll option I posted this thread under Wedding Attire. I did consider cutting my head off in the pics as my facial expressions definitely factor in. Any way to change my poll options now? From multiple choice to single?
  12. I've just started my wedding dress shopping and I've found 3 styles that I like. Any opinions on which style is most flattering/best suited for my DW?? Keep in mind, all of these dresses are HUGE! Dress #1 Dress #2 Dress #3
  13. I haven't made a poll or posted pictures, here's hoping I can figure it out. Dress #1 Dress #2 Dress #3
  14. The Romantic one is beautiful, it looks classy and timeless! Plus your dress is gorgeous!
  15. Just talked to my travel agent and he's suggesting Las Brisas in Huatulco. Apparently they have a wonderful "secret beach" which is actually a secluded grassy area where we can have the ceremony. If only I could find some pictures....anyone?
  16. My FI and I are also thinking of having a small AHR. I found a cute idea about renting a local independent movie theatre. We could decorate with movie-size posters from the trip and show our wedding video. We also have a lot of musician friends so I figure we'll have some live music and just party and visit with our friends. We're also planning on serving some appetizers and cupcake desserts. Any other suggestions?
  17. Do any of you have recent information or reviews of Huatulco? I'm a little nervous that there are not more DW brides choosing it.
  18. I'm already TOTALLY addicted! But I have an idea this is what's going to keep me sane over the next 8 months!
  19. Hi, my name is Connie and my FI Graeme and I are planning on getting married in Huatulco, Mexico in December 2008! We have not chosen a resort yet and would love some advice on the whole process. I've already got TONS of great tips from the forum. It's a lifesaver! Connie
