  1. A for sure. If they're like me and have had a few by the time the song begins they will be swinging the hair and head like crazy to this song.
  2. Those are smokin! You're wearing two dresses? Good idea..hmmmm
  3. I like the second one. The font for agua and the date seems a little too stretched out?? Is that the work I'm thinking of? Good job though!
  4. What color are the holders? Is it orange, green, fuschia? If so, those are my colors! Plus, I work in D.C. on Sat. and Bethesda Fri....no shipping!
  5. As long as the shade matches your face and NOT your neck then you're good. I slather a ton of sunblock spf 30 on my face and chest and wear a visor, but only wear spf 20 or less on my body, so my face is always lighter than my body and my neck is much lighter than my face. So if your face and chest are the same shade and neck is lighter, just dust some bronzer or a bit of warmth powder on your neck to even things out. Otherwise, I think whatever you're wearing looks very natural. Finally, I can see the eyes!
  6. I've stayed at both, and the W bed was more comfortable..except for the pillows. My all time favorite mattress though is from Kingsdown....it is amazing but costs more that the Simmons bed. I was most mad about losing that one in my prev. life. I would look into the BBB deal, since I'm sure Simmons mfg.s this mattress for more than one company. Kinda like the generic grocery store brand food...
  7. Welcome to the forum. Beautiful pictures.
  8. Amy, those are super hot! Looking at your amazing photos has given me the courage to just do it! But I will wait till we go down to KW and use the photographer that I will use for our wedding. I'm excited now. I know your FI's eyes will bug out!
  9. My FILs like the Lor-e-Lei (sp??), but I still have not made it there. They wanted us to look at the Islander, but with the wide range of people we're inviting to the wedding we decided to go to Key West for the variety. TA did have some wedding info where some people had weddings in the Marathon/ Islamorada area. If you haven't already checked this link out I did look at this forum a while ago: Islamorada Forum Search - TripAdvisor The area is way laid back and is good for fishing. Cheeca Lodge is my fav. spot too for drinks and the view but was way too expensive.
  10. I don't know if you're still looking, but we are doing our wedding and reception at the Hyatt on Front St. Beachside resort to me is too far from the action, even though the island is but so big, we just found that being in the heart of the action would be more fun. There's also the Southernmost Hotel Collection where there are 3 hotels with various price ranges. You could have the wedding and reception at the same place and they have reasonable (HA!) prices for the packages. There are soo many B&B's that are affordable. Someone mentioned Angelina B&B to me. One of my friends already booked her hotel at the Pier House for 219/night..during Memorial Day weekend. We found a great deal on gtahotels.com for our room at the Hyatt. Check out sidestep.com and do a search, that was helpful for me. Hope this helps!
  11. I have not made it to Marker 88, but Morada Bay Beach Cafe is awesome. Has an amazing sunset and yummy drinks and food. Here's a pic of our kids on the pier at Morada Bay, that a student photographer from a college in Indiana snapped while we were there in March. We love the keys!
  12. I'm getting married in Key West and chose it because of how laid back we feel when we visit. The "white" beach pics in the Key West links are of Smather's Beach, for which you can have your wedding there for free, and possibly a sandy area in Ft. Zachary, for which there is a site fee of 300-500. They have amazing sunsets and a wide variety of things for your guest to do which is another reason we chose the location. Southernmost on the beach has a little "private beach" and have somewhat affordable wedding packages. Melissa at Southernmost Beach Hotel collection is great and you could contact her for more info. You might be able to do the ceremony and wedding there within your budget. Let me know if you have any other questions. BTW, the drive is not that bad from Miami, it's quite scenic. There's also a ferry from Ft. Lauderdale and Miami which is 4 hours, but no one has to drive.
  13. Hi there! My wedding date is 5 days before yours!! We will arrive May 21-25 and then we're off to Anguilla. I've been to Key West 4 times, and I was just there July 18-22 scouting our places. I had originally looked at SMBH, but when my FI saw the Hyatt on Front St. across from the Rum Barrel, and we thought of the amazing view, we could not pass it up. I think the SMBH is great, even though we did not stay there, we stayed at the Casa Marina. We were able to check out the La Mer Dewey Beach House and the room was awesome. The beach was great as well for a wedding. Have you talked to a planner or someone who will do your wedding on the beach? From what I was told from another planner that I'm not using (I'm using the one from the Hyatt), 60-100 guests sounds like a lot of people for that beach that is open to the public. All of the beaches are open to the public, but at Ft. Zachary you can reserve a space and the fee ranges from 300-500 I believe. That way you don't have to worry about finding a space large enough for all of your guest. I did speak with WC Peggy Russell and know of another bride who used her for DOC for her beach wedding on Ft. Zachary and then assisting at the Hyatt. My FI loves Pat Croce's Rum Barrel because Pat's from Philly, and they sell a Philly Eagles t-shirt with an eye patch over the eagle's eye. If you want more info I have lots and you can PM me if you want. I would be happy to help because I know how hard it is getting info with hardly anyone on BDW getting married in Key West. Good Luck! BTW...did I see you post something re: travel on TA?

  15. Everything looks amazing. You can see all of the hard work you put into the planning. I'm sure your guest will love it!
  16. That is absolutely amazing! I can't wait to see it!
  17. HA! Alyssa I'm so with you, except my training on drinking also extends to liquor AND wine! Another point I think is important is the sadness I feel when I watch the chinese competitors. Some of the girls were taken from their families at the age of 3. Ok, so the commentator says they were not kicking and screaming, but seriously, having come from a situation of flip flopping between my mother and grandmother and greatgrandmother since I was 2, I know first hand that not being with your mom is so profoundly sad. I cannot even imagine the amount of stress that they must be going through to compete at the Olympic level. On a positive note: GO MICHAEL PHELPS!!!! WHEW WHEW MARYLAND BMORE AREA!!!!! GO TOWSON!!!
  18. Thanks Amy! I love love the shoes. I have to just say whatevs and do what I want for my shoe. The sales person said...if it's for your wedding we have white...and I said..no..I want fuschia! I love PINK!!! Ok, so I'm tired and watching the olympics now so perhaps a lil bit too much tired excitement.

LOL The website I've seen them on is zappos. But I had mine shipped from Nordstrom in Boca Raton. I called the store and they priced matched an awesome deal that the Boca Raton Bloomies was running..but Bloomies didn't have my size. I'm way excited...hopefully they will be at my house tonight!
