  1. They look great! I wish there were koozies for hi-balls for my fav. mojitos!
  2. 1 year 7 months and 6 days and 8.5 hours....I'm a freak for counting down like that! LOL
  3. I have 2 chi flat irons, 1 paul mitchell flat iron (pretty much made by the company that makes the chi) and 1 HAI T3 tourmaline 2" wet/dry flat iron. My favorite is the HAI T3 tourmaline. Leaves my hair smoother and not as dry. Chi irons are good, but you need to buy it from a real salon or a store that will offer a 1 year warrenty. Chi irons are notorious for defects and when I worked for a distributor of Chi irons we had so many exchanges for Chi irons. In fact, there was a chi exchange program set up just for the irons. So, if the salon or store doesn't offer you a good warrenty, skip it. I say go for the T3, get a great carbon comb with teeth spaced close together (I use a rattail) so it doesn't pull your hair, use a heat protector product ( I love Goldwells Kerasilk) take sections of your hair and go for it. When I flat iron my hair from it's gianormous curly mass (my black and jewish heritage) you would never know that my hair is as thick as it is.
  4. Good start so far. I want to see updated pics. I'm assuming your colors are blue and yellow?
  5. I like the dress and the shoes. I agree with Alyssa about the necklace. But I like how the earrings match the pattern of the shoes. Tres cute! You look great in the dress btw.

  7. I was hoping there were some BDWers who could help me decide which software to purchase for my macbook. I'm a now full time student and 3 online classes + one I attend in person. I have a macbook and a dell xps desktop. I want to get software that will make things easier for me when I am up late at night on my laptop doing schoolwork so I don't have to use my pc and disturb my FI while he's sleeping, and emailing files to my desktop is not convenient and causes me more time to edit. So, which software would you get..Pages or 2008 Microsoft office for MACs? Plus, I would love to be able to do cool things like on MS Publisher for which I'm using a trial run on my PC. Hopefully someone can help...Thanks!
  8. I have had acne since 3rd grade, so for about 27 years. And for the past year I've finally gotten it under control. I use MDSkincare's correct and perfect spot treatment when one does pop up. I put a big glob on it and let it harden overnite and hope that it doesn't get on my pillow..lol. I tried Mario Badescus and I think the line is crappy. Have you tried a chemical peel? I like the alpha beta peel pads from MDskincare because they give me acids that can go into my pores and help to clear them up. But I've been using them everyday now for over a year. They're not cheap, but they work for me. Also, make sure the cleanser you use to remove your makeup takes off everything. Your issue definitely sounds hormonal and stress related. I'm using Yasmin, the generic finally came out thank gawd!, and that helped too. I've also found sticking products in one line totally helped me out. I can actually feel ok if I forget my foundation...which happened this weekend at the beach! My skin's the best it's ever been since I was 7. And that's not an exaggeration. Oh, I forgot, when I tried all natural products it did make my situation worse. Good luck! p.s.- I've heard good things about Obagi. It's expensive, but I would have tried it if my MDSkincare line had not worked out.

I can imagine Towson is gonna EXPLODE when Michael gets back to town! That should be a fun party! We had a patient who said she felt special and kinda famous because she went to a party several years ago that he attended..lol.

  11. My FI was sitting next to me and listened as I read post, and all he could say was..mmpffhmm..LOL. So, I check out the site, and maybe it's the bottle of wine I had to drink tonight because it's the 2nd day I had to bring my daughter to work with me and she has been acting like a damn fool in front of patients yelling..I see a rat!..I digress. So, back to the point, it's really hard to see what the product looks like. Then, I feel old as ish when I see that I need size 2! I've had a kid vaginally and I'm over 30! Ok, so next I think back to my Instead cup days. I liked Instead, though it's not for those not in touch with themselves...heh.. My FI remembers the item because he would feel the item during active moments. I mean, they did say even during intercourse you could use the product. Diva says you can use through extreme sports, but how extreme is extreme and would the other participant feel this item? I'm so sorry for the TMI, but the guys can feel it. Would I have the issue of having a hard time retrieving object after extreme "sports", because I recall several times of thinking I was going to have to go to the hospital to have it removed like my cousin had to after a sponge mishap. Is it ok to have that area sealed for 12 hours? I am going to follow this thread because I do so hate the tampon for the smell, and the pad just sucks.
  12. I say send them out to make her happy and also send out another one that matches your theme at the same time...so send 2 in one envelope! Yeah, extra postage, but you'll have some peace of mind and all of your friends will know the deal when you tell them. Tell your mom's friend that one of your BMs made invites as well and you didn't have the heart to exclude hers. Whomp! There it is! Win Win!
  13. If he's listed as a religious doctor then that's one thing. But I'm not sure how kosher his practice is with the insurance company he's signed up with. I think the Dr. should be reported to your insurance plan, so if they continue to allow him to accept patients under the plan he should have these very important details listed so those of us who don't feel the same way do not waste a copay and time on a visit.
  14. I say #1 for the younger girl and keep looking for the older girl.

  17. Sounds like it's coming together. I love pink so you can't go wrong with that color. You lucked out with your mom, had it been me you would have had a fight over the pink..lol!
  18. Very beautiful dress. Definitely put the flower in your hair.
  19. I think you should go without the brooch, but if you absolutely need a backup do #1. I think the shoes will jazz it up enough and the dress is beautiful.
  20. Thank you everyone. I finally got the shoes in and OMG! The pics do not do them justice! They're a really vibrant beautiful fuschia that reminded me of the sunset my FI and I were able to watch from the deck of our awesome room in O.C. MD. The sky had a beautiful shade of fuschia with deep purple and bright orange....trying to figure out how to put those colors together for my decor.
  21. In reference to Southernmost on the Beach cafe, we checked it out for a beach bbq lunch or day after wedding brunch, and they wanted you to spend at least $2500. Melissa at SMH did say the packages were changing, but I though $2500 for a bbq or brunch for 40 pp was a bit much. A friend is having her rehearsal dinner at Santiago's Bodega and they're supposed to have good Sangria and tapas. I was going to consider Blue Heaven, but the hostess was so rude that I cannot go there again. If I'm willing to fork over $50 for breakfast, you would want to be nice to me before I even sit down. Just my experience, and I know others love it, but the staff's attitude would need an adjustment. Conch Republic was good, and there's another spot in that area that is inexpensive and fun, I just can't think of it this second. When I was down there and spoke with wedding coordinator Peggy Russell, she mentioned it but now I've forgotten it. She also suggested that we go to El Meson de Pepe (I think that's the name) when they have a salsa band (free entertainment!) and have app's and drinks for a welcome reception/dinner kind of thing. Then we could all walk to Mallory Square located behind the restaurant for the sunset celebration. When I come up with the name of the other location on the waterfront I will let you know.
  22. You're freakin hilarious! I love the story...sweet..sentimental...and funny! Can you provide some translation for the horse rock shite? I may want to use that one....harkin back to my English roots...seeing as my dad's from England.
