  1. I am going to put a postcard in everyone's OOT bag. They can put whatever they want on it and they'll give it to us at the reception. Then we'll make a guestbook out of all of them. I got the idea from someone on this forum. You can design your own postcard on vistaprint.com and you get 100 of them FREE and you only pay shipping (mine was about $7.00)! The extra cards i have left over I'm going to let people at our AHR fill out so they can "be a part" of the trip even though they can't make it to Jamaica.
  2. I got mine from Victorias Secret online. They have sequins on the straps and were $12.
  3. Hey i found these great photo albums on weddingfavorsunlimited.com. They hold 40 5x7 pictures and they are cheap! Seashell Photo Album Favors
  4. Oh crap, I already bought mine a couple days ago but I could have saved a lot of money with these! And they look nice too! Oh well, can't sweat it too much. Good find though and thanks for sharing with us.
  5. OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just found out that two of my groomsmen HAVE NOT booked thier flight or hotel stay or ANYTHING! And this is AFTER they told my FH that they were taking care of it! Ahhhhh.....people can really tick me off!!! Sorry for the vent, but geeeeezzz!
  6. I am having a late spring BBQ, very casual. I think my FH and I are going to do a late entrance of some sort with my dress on and his suit, just to show everybody, then we will change into more casual clothing so we are more comfortable at the BBQ. The wedding party will wear whatever they want. As long as everyone's comfortable I'll be happy, I think the fanciness really just depends on the style of your party.
  7. I recently went to a wedding where they played the ENTIRE song during the unity candle ceremony. I like the idea of playing the song, but not the whole song. Everybody started to look around and looked confused. Just a part of it would be really nice, I think.
  8. Here's a link of what i'm planning on doing. It's hard to see but you get the idea. Boulevard Florist Photo Gallery - Bouquets/Bouquet 36
  9. I am going to just go to the fabric store and find some pretty white fabric, and then I'm going to sew some rhinestones or pearls scattered on it to dress it up. I think it'll be a little cheaper than buying one.......
  10. I bought my BM's dresses and shoes, I just couldn't ask them to pay for anything more since they are paying for thier own trip!!
  11. I am just giving welcome bags, no favors. I agree with Lorilou about favors being over rated.
  12. Hey I just have a question about OOT bags. Did you guys put different things in the bags that were for guys, or were all the bags identical? I was just thinking about the candles I'm buying, but I don't think the men will really want a candle. Any ideas of something I could put in their bag instead?? Everything I'm thinking of seems to be too girly..... thanks
  13. Hey just an FYI.... I just wanted to let everyone know that Victorias Secret has spa robes on sale for $29 right now (online)! They look nice and I ordered some for my BM's last night.
  14. My FH is going to take all his GM golfing for their gift. If they can't all find a time to get together for it he is going to buy them some golf related stuff. Oh yea- I am totally borrowing your robe idea, it's a good one.
  15. I guess it really depends on the climate of your wedding location, but I know that in Jamaica the bugs can get bad at night when you are on the beach, most people head inside when the sun goes down. But like I said, that's in Jamaica, so it depends.
  16. JUST AN FYI.... For any other Riu Negril brides out there (only a few!) the florist website is Boulevard Florist.com and the photographer is True Colors Photo.com
  17. That sounds really pretty. I purchased my sand at Hobby Lobby, but I may need to go back and look at that too!
  18. Eric Clapton..... Wonderful Tonight. GOTTA HAVE THIS SONG!
  19. I absolutely love that color combination! I say go for it!
  20. Good morning everybody! I am just curious if everybody is going to, or has done, a rehearsal the day before their wedding? Originally I thought I would for sure, but is it really necessary for everybody to attend? I just want my guests to be able to enjoy as much "vacation" time as possible cause most are only staying 3 nights. I know my fiance and I will need to go over things with the officiant, but everybody else has already been in weddings before........... any sugguestions?
  21. I asked my travel agent about bringing sand for my sand ceremony. She said there will be no problem bringing it into the country or out of it.
