Thanks for the info, I was wondering the same thing. I received a call from the photographer today for Riu Negril about my photo package but I wasn't sure if those details would get figured now, or when I get there. Do you know if the photography works the same way as the florist?

Sarah-- I am about 2 1/2 months from my wedding at Riu Negril and I have many of the bigger details already confirmed, I just felt more comfortable doing it ahead of time. But.....my travel agent said that the smaller details don't need to be decided and confirmed until just a few weeks before you go. You can decide a lot of stuff when you are there too. I wouldn't worry at all.

Hey everybody, my FH is trying to find the shirts for his GM to wear. We already have the linen pants (natural color) and we're hoping to get white shirts to go with them. Anybody have any ideas for where to look? stores? MY BAMBOO FANS CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!! I'm so excitied! thanks...

I have also noticed that there are only a couple of us having weddings at Riu Negril! I liked Negril because the beaches there are absolutely beautiful! I have nothing against OR, but my sister went to a wedding in OR and was displeased with the murky beach (it was not at Riu though). My other sis went on her honeymoon at Riu Negril and loved it, so my choice was easy. Also, I have been assured by my travel agent that there would be no problem with confirming the reception. Yes, you are correct that OR has a little more to do outside of the resort, but since my FH and I are on a very tight budget we probably couldn't afford to do many of them! There is plenty for us in Negril! Again, I think you will be happy with either of the resorts, they are both beautiful and good luck with your change of plans! If you have questions about Negril please let me know. Sorry this is so long........I'm so bored at work!!! AHHHHH

Does anybody have any pictures of thier Riu wedding cake? I was just curious what the different sizes and styles look like, I'm not even too sure how much input they let you have in designing the cake....... I know the two sizes are $110 and $250, but does anybody know how many people either one of those cakes serves? Thanks!.......this website is such a great help!!!

Oh that's good info for Mexico brides!.... As far as Jamaica brides go, I asked before I booked my date and for anyone else getting married around Easter, it's not a big holiday there so I don't think we'll have to worry! Thanks again everybody
