  1. Oh my gosh!! I don't know how I am going to fit everything in just a couple bags and under the weight.....humm.. that will be interesting, I might have to give a bag to every member of the bridal party, yikes!
  2. Thanks! I think i'll make playlists on a few different things to make sure I have backup plans. Good to know that the IPod worked for you though!
  3. My FH is going to be wearing a boutinniere cause he will be in a suit. But the GM are wearing linen shirts so they will definitely not wear one. I think it will look fine that way.
  4. I am having my wedding on the beach on the Saturday before Easter. If anyone else is doing the same I have a small idea..... please let me know if you guys think guests would like it or think it's dumb..... I'm going to put sand dollars in the OOT bags and attach a poem of the sand dollar to them (I have a link to the poem that explains it) The sand dollar is tied to Easter so I thought I'd bring the two together while thanking everyone for spending Easter in Jamaica. What do you think?
  5. Hey I am going to the Riu Negril via Champion Air...... Does anyone know the weight rules for baggage? Like how many bags are allowed and how much weight? If not I'll just ask my agent, thought maybe one of you may have already been there done that...... Thanks
  6. Hey everybody, my wedding is at the Riu Negril in Jamaica and I have recently been advised to bring my own music to have the DJ play for the reception. Could anyone tell me how their DJ was.....in jamaica?..... If you brought your own CD's, would burned CD's work okay? I know some older systems won't play a burned CD. Has anyone tried putting all thier music on a MP3 player or Ipod? Any ideas or help would be fantastic!! Thanks!
  7. albrosious that's a good idea with the bath and body find! i know they are having some good after christmas sales, i need to go check that out!
  8. My mom is actually a bridal seamstress, so that won't be a problem for me to have them sewn in! I just want to make sure I can get some lift from it!! Thanks!
  9. Yea I got it from davids bridal. I've tried it on with the inserts they provide you there, and also with nothing. I could get away with not wearing anything, but I'd like to have some cleavage!!! =) Here's the link for the dress..... you have to look at the alternate view for the front. David's Bridal - Bridal Gowns V9178 Gerogette slim gown with beaded and embroidered illusion back and ruffle.
  10. I got my STD magnets from Save the Date Magnets and I loved them! They sent envelopes with the magnets and they did NOT require extra postage. 2.65" X 4" GREAT SIZE, great price and quality. I decided to go with a letter to add to the envelope to give people info about the travel agent. But if i remember correctly, I had to add a 1 cent stamp to them b/c of weight, not bad at all. Good Luck!
  11. I agree with you, twinkletoes. I really like this idea and we would also just have them give the postcards to us while we are at the resort. We aren't having anyone bring us gifts so maybe we would do a card box at the reception and instead of people putting wedding cards into it, they could just drop thier postcard in there I don't know. I like the idea of putting them in the OOT bags too.
  12. My dress has kind of a deep v-neck front and I am looking for a bra to wear. I'm thinking I'll go with a silicone one that clasps in the front, but I can't have anything in the back cause it would show. I know Victorias Secret will have some, but has anyone found anything someplace else that might be a little cheaper?? Thanks!
  13. I can't figure out how to get my BM dresses pic on here, but they are from VictoriasSecret.com and I love them! If anyone is having an outdoor, semi-casual wedding during the hotter months I strongly recommend checking VS out! Here's the link if anybody wants to get some ideas from it!..... Victoria's Secret - Double-strap curvy jersey dress Sorry I know it's long, can somebody tell me how to do the picture
  14. Hey everyone, I'm looking for a place for my dogs to spend the week while we are having our wedding. Normally they would just stay with family/ friends, but everyone who I trust them with (they are practically my children) is coming to Jamaica with us! Is there anyone in the SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI area or MEMPHIS area who knows of a good place? Has anyone heard of Camp Kennelwood? That's where I'm leaning towards but I'm not sure yet. I want them to be as comfortable as possible!!! Thanks!!
  15. Those OOT bags sound like they'll be great. I like the flip flop notepad idea. Thanks for the links!

    Jamaica!!

Oh Thanks! I'm already hooked! I see your wedding was at the Riu Ocho Rios.... Did you pay extra for the private reception? I'm almost sure I want to do that, but I don't know if it'll be worth the extra $1000. Thanks again!
  17. Hi April, I'm not having my wedding at either of those places but I just wanted to say hi and welcome, I just started this forum last night. I'm in Arkansas too! (Jonesboro) Congrats
  18. I'd bet you could just go to a craft store or someplace that has candle making stuff and you'd find all different colors of sand. I am doing the unity sand thing and I'll probably go to Hobby Lobby for mine, they have unique (but also cheap) vases to pour the sand into also!
  19. The maraca idea sounds fun, I think guests would love it. I've also been playing with the idea of personalized embroidered towels, but I'm afraid they might get too expensive. Usually there's a minimum order but I'd only want them for hte bridal party..... Once I think of more ideas I'll let ya know!
  20. I really like the template for the candles! Only $1? Great find! Bags are awesome too!
  21. Hi everyone, My DW is in Jamaica in March and I'm trying to put together the welcome bags to have in everyone's room once they arrive. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should put in them? I'm already thinking some kind of snacks (perhaps Jamaican themed) and candles, but other than that I'm not sure..... Thanks!

    Jamaica!!

Wow, thanks! I would love to see pictures of that wedding! Do you have any advice on shoes to wear for a beach wedding? I know I want to go with some kind of flip flops but I don't want to look too casual.......humm..... thanks!
