  1. Welcome to the forum! We picked Cancun because #1, there are a lot of flights there and a lot are direct and #2, there are a lot of resort options for a reasonable price . If you can do Hawaii that would be awesome! Gorgeous!
  2. Welcome to the forum!! I love Ireland!! It is gorgeous there!!! That is a great choice but may be more pricey then other choices. I am sure you will come up with a great selection with the help of everyone here!
  3. Do you have a wedding website you could add? Otherwise, I dont think a need for activities. But maybe hotel info for the resort you are staying at and a few in the area.
  4. Those are adorable I have never seen any like that before. That website is fun too! Thanks for sharing!
  5. I agree with the champagne glasses. That is an awesome idea and personally I think they taste much better too!
  6. Yari, where did you find a starfish mongram one? I was going to do the monogram one but they are so expensive so I am on the fence about this one.
  7. Oh goodness! Sounds like a tough week! I hope you can find some time tonight to be with your family. Maybe they can help with the centerpieces? Hope your AHR goes well.
  8. Oh goodness Becks, whats the deal? So sorry to hear about all this. I mean to not attend your shower, ridiculous. Is your mom the type that you can call her our on it? I know my sis and I would be the kind to devise a plan to have my sis ask my mom whats going on, that a possibility? I hope she comes around and you can get to the bottom of this.
  9. Can you get your FI to agree to letting us pick? Maybe you can post a few of your favs and we can vote? Or any thought of DIY-ing? I am sorry you are frustrated, thats no fun. A break is a good thing, can get you rejuvenated. Has your FI looked in the catalogs and ordered his own flippin' samples?
  10. Great find! Thanks for sharing! Gonna have to get them to put DC on there too. But its been fun looking at the other resorts.
  11. We are a little opposite, sometime too much foreplay (is there such a thing, cant believe I said that), then the actual act doesnt last too long cuz we are both too hot and bothered. I love it when my FI caresses my hair and kisses the side of my neck. I also love to just lay on "my" chest (what I call his chest), I know all will be ok then (especially when he gives me a gentle peck on the forehead then). I hate it when he hasnt trimmed his goatee in awhile, like kissing a walrus (not sure how I know what thats like). or I love the almighty fart in bed, thats HOT!
  12. How long is your ceremony? If it is only a 1/2 hour can you negotiate 1/2 price? I guess my opinion is if music is important to you then go for it, its your wedding day. Flowers are important to me, so I am getting centerpieces. Its just a matter of priorites.
  13. We sent STDs to everyone we wanted to invite. Even the people who we do not think will be able to attend (Grandparents, etc) we sent them too. We are going to be sending all of these people formal invites too. IMO its a nice way to let them know they are a special part of your life even if they cant make it.
  14. Welcome to the forum!! How about Moon Palace? It's gorgeous!
  15. Welcome Kristi!! Glad to have another DC bride here!
  16. You could probably work it out with the DJ to do the ceremony. But I would think setting up and tearing down that equipment may take awhile, but definitely worth asking him. They respond very quickly to emails.
  17. I would agree that getting up first thing to go work out has always worked best for me. By the end of the day I have come up with a ton of excuses not to go to the gym and talked myself out of going. I think by going first thing, although at first you may be tired, I think it energizes you. Also, watching that new Bulging Brides show has motivated me (sounds silly but if they can do it so can I).
  18. Welcome to the forum! Congratulations! Hope your planning goes well!
  19. Dont forget to add "you may now kiss your bride" wink wink... other then that, it looks very nice to me

So, what age range are we talking about at this cheerleading comp? Peewees (3 year olds) all the way through seniors (high school) Here is the website https://www.regonline.com/builder/si...eventid=172318
  21. Never used it but looks cool, guess I live on the dangerous side by trying places like that. Call me crazy.
  22. Ha, my sis is dragging me to some brewery where we are suppose to wear moose antlers. Gonna need a lot of beer for that one.
  23. For my first marriage we got married in the CAtholic church, we had to do precana but it was special ed precana because my ex-husband had been previously married before me. So my experience with special ed precana was it was kind of a joke. You had to go through a workbook and we sat at tables with other couples and went through our answers. The good things about it is that it made you talk about some things that some couples dont before marriage (kids, money, etc) so I guess it is what you make of it. My ex was an ass so he blew it off, guess if we had taken it more seriously maybe I wouldnt have made the mistake of marrying him.
  24. That sounds like a blast! But just FYI I am going to the dells this weekend for my nieces National cheerleading competition. So if you see rugrats running around, more so than ususal, thats why. The actual competition is at Chula Vista resort but we are staying at Mt Olympus so people are all over the place.
