I went to Isla Mujeres and there is NOTHING there. We went on a day trip there and had been staying at the Moon Palace. Isla Mujeres is a very poor and not Americanized at all. We got dropped off at Isla Mujeres Palace (sister hotel to the Moonpalace). We were stuck there for a few hours with nowhere to go. Then the boat took us to a vendor area. It was a huge culture shock. So, you will not seen any nightlife there. It is a good place to go if you just want to relax. It is very very isolated.

That sucks that she is putting this on you. I would tell her, hey, you made these arrangements and you need to figure this out on your own. Tell her that you are busy enough with planning your wedding and you dont have time for this and that you don't want to get in the middle of this. Who knows they may not even be together anymore when your wedding comes around.

This is the first time I have done anything "blog". But anyways, when I was visiting my brother in San Diego I saw a wedding in La Jolla on a cliff overlooking the ocean. This is good "old" information that I just read about on "blocking" rooms. It really helped me to make sense of it. I found it after Tammy calmed me down with the pricing at Dreams Los Cabos when she mentioned block of rooms.

That is great that you found a better rate. I was looking directly through the site, applevacations.com, expedia.com, vacationoutlet.com, etc. I did not think about the block of rooms. That rate makes me feel so much better and happy. When I finally have the ring which should be one-two months (waiting on his bouns to come in March) I will contact you to help with the arrangements. We have been talking about June 09. I am back to feeling better now. Thank you. I found this site that you started to be so helpful with many great ideas. I have fallen in love with Dreams Los Cabos and have had my heart set on them. Well, coming from Boston, I didn't realize how expensive it would be for guests to go. It will be about $2000 per person, $4000 per couple that is a lot to ask for my guests to pay. I am at square one all over again. I really fell in love with the weddings they have and the packages they offer. It is almost as expensive to even stay at the Dreams in Tulum or Cancun. I also really loved the idea of doing the wedding at sun set, you dont get the same effect on the East Coast of Mexico. What to do now? I feel I could cry.

Congrats! I dont feel so guilty now about making plans and gathering inspirations. We know we are going to be engaged, he needs to wait for his bonus check first Friday in March, then he is going to go design it. But, good to hear that you guys were making plans ahead of time too I feel less neurotic Pics please!!!!!

Has anyone used table top tiki torches for their tables? I saw this idea somewhere, and was wondering how it turned out for people. I thought it would be cute to tie ribbon of my colors on the tiki torch stem. If anyone used the table top tiki torches, did you find that the smoke was bothering your guests?

I have never been on any other board. I found this one by accident and love it. I almost feel like checking out what everyone is talking about. That's aweful that people can be so rude, when we should be helping eachother. Glad I and found this one first
