What did you think? I'm really starting to freak out because it seems every EDR wedding on the forum over the past year has been at 55 or Faisaines (sp?). Also for the other recently married EDR brides who have seen the presidential gazebo, what is your opinion of it? Would you get married there or should I try to switch? I know Bre took one look at it and switched. Hopefully it won't be too late if I hate it once I'm down there to switch.
  2. Wow! I cannot believe how great your TTD pics are - they are stunning. Where on the resort did you take the pictures? It looks like three different places.

I had read somewhere (Tripadvisor maybe) that it is actually cheaper to book & pay down there then online. However since everyone just booked down there - I can't confirm whether that is true or not. Thanks, they range from $176 - $330 online. I think I'll wait until we get down there.
  4. That is so hilarious. Rest assured, I can always find a Seinfeld moment in most of life's situations. We sent STD to everyone. We are only sending invites to those attending and to "VIP" family who aren't attending like our grandparents. We will send the "masses" an announcement after the wedding.
  5. Did any of you do a couple's massage? How was it? Did you purchase it online, with Lomas, or when you got to the resort?
  6. I saw it last night and all I can say is "Hello Lover." 2.5 hours of PERFECTION!!!
  7. Great review, Shannon! I'm so happy you had such an amazing time. What Casita block did you end up getting? I can't wait to see the wedding pics!
  8. How much exercise does he get? My first inclination was diabetes, but it does sound a little like nervous behavior, which a lot of exercise can help resolve. I think I have watched too many episodes of the Dog Whisperer!
  9. Growing up, we went to one every year outside of Colorado Springs, CO. I loved it as a kid, as an adult, I found it definately requires lots of beer to accompany the big turkey legs!!!!
  10. I ordered my flower from this place. Sort of pricey but beautiful. I got it in about 2 weeks. They are in Canada. Lifelike Silk Wedding Flowers: Artificial Bridal Floral Arrangements Of Top Quality My Divas Closet has some more inexpensive options that would be good for Bms. Flower Hair Clips, Silk Flower Hair Clips, Hair Pins and Accessories I know some girls have ordered flower clips from this company as well. 11. I don't really know too many songs with Spanish guitar but I'm Yours by Jason Mraz and Better Together by Jack Johnson are beachy loves songs.
  12. I ordered my aloe and Immodium from AllTravel Sizes.com ($1.59/each). I received it in two days. Fruit of the Earth® 100% Aloe Vera Gel, 2oz. bottle
  13. You know I did a lot of research on this for some friends that could not afford to stay at the resort. In my opinion, the cheapest hotels looked to be in Cancun. I'm trying to locate what I found and will PM it to you. My TA suggested Iberostar as the closer cheaper alternative. In the end, these people did not end up booking and will not attend. Keep in mind, you will have to buy day passes for everyone to attend the wedding (somewhere around $76/person). If you plan on having any cocktail parties, you would also most likely have to purchase more passes for them to come on the property. I personally would think long and hard about whether you want to get married at EDR if your guests will not be there. I think a lot of the fun of a DW is the big ol' party the whole week with your closest friends and family.
  14. I don't know how healthy this is, but I eat frozen whip cream w/ sugar free chocolate sauce. It sort of has the consistency of ice cream. Yummy w/ fresh strawberries.
  15. Great review Melanie. Did you also get your makeup done at the spa?
  16. I am - a New Orleans Saints one from Ebay. I'm going to surpise my FI. It came with a toss garter that is smaller that I am just going to give to our one single guy friend who is also a big Saints fan.
  17. Your AHR guests will love the video! Everything looked beautiful.

  20. I'm thinking about walking down to Ben Harper's Forever, but I think it is a little slow.
  21. Great review Jennifer. I'm going to print it out and bring it with me to EDR, since my package is almost the same as yours! I'm so happy for you that the whole week was so lovely.

I, too, was worried and didn't have any type of a make-up and hair trial, but it turned out PERFECTLY on my big day there, too. Thanks, I have no worries after seeing your pics too!
