But really, a small typo like that is nothing because everything else is just incredible!! Ahhh dangit! I am the worst at catching typos, so thank you. I will make the corrections.
  2. Thanks ladies for all of the well wishes and kudos. It really means a lot.
  3. You've arrived just in time. Lots of BDW girls just had EDR weddings in the last month or so!

We had a Walmart gift card and ended up purchasing the bags with that, which made it seemed like we got them for free!!!!

  12. Okay here is the last of it! Luggage Tags (will send with newsletter) OOT Bags (Single guys will get the same bags but in black) Coozies (My friend did the design and Micah’s cousin who has a screen printing company printed them.) Guestbook (Again, not crafty so thrilled when I found this instant scrapbook at Hallmark.) Bridesmaid gifts (Coach wristlets – one gets yellow and one gets blue. Also, I bought my MOH dress and both their flip flops for the ceremony. I will also treat them to manis and pedis at the spa the morning of the wedding.) Let me know if you see anything wrong with the newsletter. I haven't sent it out yet and have time to make corrections. Thanks again ladies for all of the great ideas and inspiration!!!
  13. Bouquet Inspiration (bridesmaids will have similar ones) Bouquet Starfish Jewel Micah’s Boutonniere (groomsmen will not wear one) Ceremony Location (Presidential Gazebo – will just have hanging flower corsages on the gazebo, rose petals down the aisle on the sand, and the chairs will be uncovered.) Invitations (sorry this one is big!) I sent out a simple save the date letter and magnet in January, so I only sent these invitations to our booked guests two weeks ago. Newsletter Again, I am not really creative and good at things like this, so I sort of just stole ideas from everyone on the forum and pieced it together in PowerPoint. I just printed it front and back on regular paper. These will be mailed with the luggage tags next week. Still more to post!
  14. Hair Flower (From Hibiscus Floras Lifelike Silk Wedding Flowers: Artificial Bridal Floral Arrangements Of Top Quality. Not cheap but very real and beautiful.) Garter (From ebay – I am going to surprise Micah. He is a die-hard fan.) Hair inspiration (taken from another BDW girl’s hair inspiration on the hair and makeup thread) Makeup inspiration (I scanned this pic from a magazine page so it is not the best quality. I will do something different with my lip color) [ Micah’s suit. From Banana Republic. He will just wear it with a white shirt, tucked in with a belt, and brown leather sandals. Bridesmaid dresses (Sour Lemon embossed beach dress and ribbon flower belt from J Crew) Groomsmen attire (White linen Tommy Bahamas shirt and tan linen pants from Old Navy) MOB attire (from Talbots) Still more to come!
  15. Hey everyone. Well my wedding is not for three weeks, but I have such bridal brain that I cannot concentrate at work and only want to think about last minute wedding planning; therefore, I have decided to post my planning pics now! I still don’t have pictures of our wedding bands, which I will pick up on Saturday, and of my veil, which my friend is making for me. Also, let me tell you that I do not have one ounce of Martha Stewart in me, so I tried to keep everything really simple. My friend Abby is an artist and photographer and designed and printed the invitations, luggage tags, coozies, and hang tags. I am so happy she will be in Mexico to do our wedding pictures and our TTD session. I’m not really that active on the forum but am on all of the time. I cannot even begin to tell you how much the forum meant to me while I was planning. Most of my friends are already married and starting to have kids now. They don’t get very excited about this kind of stuff anymore, so it has been great to share this time with so many amazing people who are in the same place. Thank you! Okay, so here it goes…. Picture of Micah and me the night we got engaged. He proposed to me on the River Walk in the New Orleans French Quarter on 11/16/07. Engagement Ring Wedding Dress (I had the cathedral train removed. The veil is very simple -one tier, cut edge, waist length.) Forgive my face - I was sucking in LOL! Ceremony Shoes (Victoria Secret – I’m not crazy over them because they actually have pink glitter on them but I do not want to do anymore shopping, so I am sticking with them.) Reception Shoes (Steve Madden from Shoes.com – love them!) Jewelry (from Amy’s Bridal Accessories Bridal Jewelry at Amys Bridal Accessories: Couture Bridal Jewelry, Bridesmaid Jewelry & Bridal Tiaras that are completely customizable and unique. The earrings have posts not hook and both earrings and bracelet are very dainty) Okay will post more in a just a sec.!
  16. Wow, everything looks fantastic. I love the orange. My MOH looks horrid in orange and begged me not to use those colors, which I would have loved to do. Oh, and love your veil!
  17. I love 3 and 1 the best too. I'm dying to know which one was your favorite and which one your mom liked best!!!!

It was $250 -I originally picked the DB3- the 20 calla lillies.. (on lomas website it's now listed at $300- I guess they upped the price?!?!) But Valeria wrote me about a month before our wedding and said a previous bride had ordered that bouquet and they had come in -and the bride wasn't pleased at all- that the lillies were much darker than the pictures showed and looked more like something for a winter wedding and she recommend I change my order. I definitely appreciated her emailing me ahead of time and letting me know!-- so they took my colors of "red and pink" and made a mixed bouquet of tulips and roses-- and just charged me the same - $250-- I think the tulips were the expensive part- evidently they are hard to get in Mexico.... Here is another pictures of the flowers- by the time I got to ordering the bouquets- i was kinda "in the zone" LOL- not thinking about money- just adding stuff-- so they were expensive- but I really did love them- they were super pretty.. And we put them in a vase in our room the rest of the time there and enjoyed them--- our bellhop (marten) was super nice so when he came to pick up our bags when we checked out, I gave him the flowers (still looked good) to take home to his wife- he was more excited about that than Vince's $20 tip! I only had my sister stand up with me-- I ordered her the PB9- Mexican calla lillies and they were "only" $130- and they were really pretty too.... Sooo, I really need to upgrade then! Good to know, thanks. I want more oranges and yellows, so I will probably stick with tropical flowers but may add some roses. This may help to keep the cost down. Thanks for the complement about Fred. He truly is the best little dog. He is not yelpy or skittish. He tears it up at the dog park with the biggest and roughest of dogs! He is the great white cat hunter, or at least that is how he thinks of himself when he tears after the neighbor's cats each morning!!
  19. Welcome! I'm not from Georgia, but I just looked it up on Wikipedia and peanuts and pecans are also from there. Maybe you could get little bags of sugar pecans and some salted peanuts for the OOT bags? Maybe you can find little bottle of peach flavored whiskey down there too! When I think of Atlanta, I think of Coca Cola. Maybe those little baby cans of coke?

  21. Shannon, what bouquet option did you pick? I really like the way yours looks. I picked one that was only $50 (just mixed tropical flowers) and am afraid it will be skimpy. I figured I can always upgrade.

  23. My mom flew out to see me a couple of weeks ago to go shopping for her dress. We ended up going to Talbots (against her will since she is convinced it is an "old lady" store), and of course we found her outfit there. We had some bra cups sewn into the top (the top is actually not a shiny silk but a more matted material than shown). She looks pretty in it.
