  1. Erica I just looked at your pictures and I want to do the same flowers, I don't know if I found them on here or google but I love green. I wanted to have plants for everything instead of flowers but these are beautiful. Sorry I changed the subject.
  2. I never thought about pictures before our ceremony. I thought I'd want him to see me for the first time walking down the aisle. However, I really love the idea of seeing him first, taking pictures, and then having our ceremony. I think it's important for us to have time alone, it's really a great idea, thanks for bringing it up!!
  3. I'm another Bostonian. Thanks for the info Bre. GO PATRIOTS!!!
  4. My e-ring was custom made so we are having my band custom made also but I have no idea what I want it to look like. I originally just wanted a band and no e-ring b/c I love the look of a wedding band with diamonds but I got quite the surprise. I have my grandmothers diamond rings so I wanted to incorporate her diamonds into the band somehow. Don't know...
  5. I love those ideas, especially the flower one. I'm just not sure how to transfer the sand home after our trip but I think there's a post somewhere about it. Thanks for your input I don't know what I'd do without this website!!
  6. I have heard/read about the sand ceremonies and I would like to do that but instead of having just us and/or parents add sand together, I would like all of our guests to add a little bit of sand as a way to unite our two families as one big family. What do you think?
  7. I love this idea, I can't wait to do this at our reception. I have been trying to keep everything intimate and personal and make sure everyone's included this is a wonderful way to do this.
  8. Me: I jumped on my sister because Big Bird said to and he's my leader FI: I danced with a squirrel because I'm sexy and I do what I want
  9. They have such great stuff, I'm glad to know that some of you have ordered before and that the quality is good, the prices are really good also.
  10. Everything looks so beautiful, you must be so excited. I love your BM's dresses, the green colored dress is my favorite!
  11. Welcome back and thanks for the great review!! I can't wait to see your pictures!
  12. I read somewhere even if you do not use Michael and you have another guest photographer you have to pay Michael $150.00, but in the contract it says "If you choose the FREE or the CLASSIC package from RIU, you need to contact the PHOTOSHOP, otherwise you won´t have a professional photographer and – optional – a videographer." So does that mean If I "accidentally" don't set up an appointment I won't have to pay him? I'm not sure what I'm doing but if I choose not to use him I'm not paying for him.
  13. I love your bags, you are so creative. Thanks for posting the instructions, I may try and make these if I can get my butt in gear.
  14. It's really a personal preference if you want to send out STD'd or not. I did not send any and sent out my invitations already because I wanted my guests to be able to start planning their vacation right away and get good deals. I only have a small group going and most already knew our plans so it worked for me. If it's a large group and not all aware of your plans a STD is a good idea but do not feel like you have to do that you could just send your invite along with some info about the wedding. I started a website which didn't have much info when I mailed my invites but as I plan more and more I add more and people just keep checking on it. Good luck and don't worry no matter what you do it will work out!
  15. Thanks for the info that's such a big help. Our guests will love these!
  16. Carrot cake is my favorite. Your cake looked delicious, I can't wait to make one!!
  17. I'm reading the posts and laughing and yet still hoping there were pictures once I got to the last page, selfish isn't it?
  18. Thank you. They were very simple to make and I only needed to make 21 invitations, I think the final cost was around $50.00, and $30.00 was for the green paper.
  19. I wanted to make them out of actual palm leaves but that wasn't possible so I tried to make them look natural. I did use actual palm leaves to wrap them once they were ready to be mailed.
  20. I used photobucket and then pasted the IMG code into my reply...no I didn't delete them. You'd think that after having a computer my whole life I would know how to do this stuff!!
  21. I hope this works, here are my DIY invitations, I love the way they came out very simple and personal. I wanted to make them out of actual palm leaves but that wasn't possible so I tried to make them look natural. I did use actual palm leaves to wrap them once they were ready to be mailed. Enjoy!
