  1. I totally need to catch up. I'm slow. I agree its a bit racey but its only on Showtime here. I just bought the first two though.
  2. He is definitely HOT! I haven't seen Anne Boleyn dying yet. I'm still not done with Season 2. I do know Aimee you can watch it online. I'll have to find the link or google it. I just finished Anne of a Thousand days and Mary Queen of Scots. They were ok but of course they are from the 60-70's. I should be getting Elizabeth and Elizabeth the Golden age soon. I've heard they are quite good too. But man trying to figure out how everyone is related is difficult!
  3. I wanted to know if anyone watches this? I've always been intrigued by this point in history and love reading about it. I've heard about this show for quite a while and I loved the Other Boleyn Girl. So I bought the first two seasons on DVD and I'm halfway through Season 2. I got to say I'm really enjoying it. I do realize not all of it is very historly accurate but I do some googling to find out how much is or to get some back story about a character. I'm watching right now 100 Days of Anne Boleyn and am watching Mary Queen of Scots next. I wanted to see if anyone wanted to discuss their thoughts on the show or even other movies or books about The Tudors. And really how great JRM is at playing Henry VIII. He sure is good looking!
  4. Well we would of LOVED to go back to Jamaica but that was not financially feasible for us. So instead we went to a super fancy restaurant together and it was super romantic. And then we got TATTOOS. I posted my tattoo in the other thread. But we did something to remember our wedding. The coordinates to the beach we married on. Not super extravagant anniversary but something I'll always remember. We hope to go back to Jamaica for anniversary's but for now we just did something small.
  5. Interesting. As a previous ROR bride I didn't feel my wedding was impersonal. There was only one other wedding on my day but it was way earlier in the day. I didn't have hidden extras either. I went with the free package and didn't upgrade anything. Obviously if you upgrade your flowers out of your package it's going to be more. And third, my excursions were the same price as everyone else. I was not charged b/c it was my wedding. I haven't heard of that ever before.
  6. Thats why I put a question mark....?? It keeps putting that face for me? Weird.
  7. Update from CNN...Jon caught again? Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com
  8. Just saw this on MSNBC and thought I would share... FDA warns dieters: Stop Hydroxycut use now - Diet and nutrition- msnbc.com
  9. I think I posted mine before. I got this done for our one year anniversary. It is the coordinates to the beach we were married on.
  10. I agree with Mo. I got my marriage certificate less than 2 months later. Changed my DL and SS card. Have have no problems at all with anything.
  11. Glad to help. My sister was the same she really didn't want to show! Little things like hair and stuff will make it look normal and fine and noone will know! Good luck!
  12. Yay thanks. I haven't looked really hard for hotels. I do want to make sure it's not too far to the metro. I also want to make sure theres restaurants within walking distance. I will start looking and PM you Christine!
  13. I want to take a trip with my 16 year old niece to DC. She lives in Dallas and I live in Colorado. We both have wanted to go and I thought why not now? She would fly from Dallas and me from Albq. and meet in DC. I've heard you don't need a car that the public transit is great. However I don't think we want to stay downtown cause the price for hotels is outrageous. I want to know where we can stay that is close to the metro but not maybe in DC. We don't mind taking the metro or anything to where we want to go. I'm just trying to make this not so expensive. I've heard staying closer to Virginia or Maryland would be better. Any help would be appreciated!!
  14. My sister did this to our sister at her wedding. My sister has a huge rose on the top of her breast...think as big as your hand or more. We wore halter dresses but it still showed. Thankfully my sister had long hair so she did half up half down hairdo and then in pictures put half of it over her shoulder to cover it. You can't see it in any of the pics. Thankfully the sister with the tattoo wasn't offended and actually did NOT wan her tat in any pictures b/c she hates it. I would say either get her a shawl or the umbrellas or just make sure not to take back pictures. That way you don't have to tell her or offend her at all. Then the subject won't even come up! And you won't have an angry friend or photoshop to deal with. Good luck!
  15. I read this on FML?? Did you put this on there?
  16. I can search now no problem but the day that I posted on this I could not. I got the fatal error that the pp wrote.
  17. Just thought I'd remind everyone today to remember. We the world promised we would never forget and we did. Genocide is still happening while we sit and watch. Please take 2 minutes out of your day to remember and honor those who died, those who survived and those who carry on. There's also a video thats pretty neat to watch too. two minutes long. BBC NEWS BBC NEWS | Middle East | Holocaust Remembrance Day marked A wail of sirens brought Israel to a standstill on Tuesday morning for a two-minute silence to remember the victims of the Holocaust. At a ceremony, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Holocaust deniers would never be allowed to carry out another Holocaust of the Jewish people. Six million Jews were murdered in the Nazi Holocaust during WWII. Remembrance ceremonies were held across the world, including at the former Nazi death camp of Auschwitz in Poland. Thousands of young Jews and elderly survivors took park in the March of the Living, walking from Auschwitz to the nearby death camp at Birkenau. In Germany, the parliament commemorated the day with an address by President Horst Koehler. 'Supreme commitment' During the two-minute silence in Israel, pedestrians stopped in their tracks, drivers pulled over and got out of their cars and people in offices rose to stand next to their desks. Sixty-four years after, we still have to deal with prejudice, with hate, with those that are trying to do everything they can in order to destroy the Jewish state, the state of Israel Silvan Shalom Israeli Vice-Prime Minister UN 'regrets' Ahmadinejad speech At the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, survivors Lia and Iudit - twin sisters - lit a torch to open the remembrance day ceremony, before Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Netanyahu laid a wreath. In the Hall of Remembrance names of the victims were recited. Mr Netanyahu said it was the supreme commitment of the State of Israel to never again let the Jewish people perish in a Holocaust. An official ceremony was also held in the Israeli parliament, the Knesset. Critical voices The Holocaust Remembrance Day is also being marked in communities all over Israel with prayers and musical performances. An estimated 250,000 Holocaust survivors are living in Israel, many below the poverty line. Critics have accused the state of not doing enough to help them. In Poland, about 7,000 people walked the two miles from Auschwitz to Birkenau. Among the participants was Israeli Vice-Prime Minister Silvan Shalom. Mr Shalom said that 64 years after the Holocaust "we still have to deal with prejudice, with hate, with those that are trying to do everything they can in order to destroy the Jewish state, the State of Israel." Mr Shalom also referred to the strong attacks on Israel by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at a UN conference in Switzerland. "What we faced yesterday in Geneva is shameful. Shameful to those countries that have decided to back Iran, to Switzerland that have decided to host and to have the Iranian president. "Unfortunately it was a very strong, a very wrong message to the whole world, that a man like Ahmadinejad can hold such kind of opinions but in the same time to be accepted by the president of Switzerland". The biggest event to mark the day in the US will take place in Washington at the Holocaust Memorial Museum, which describes the day as a reminder to Americans "of what can happen to civilized people when bigotry, hatred and indifference reign".
  18. I posted this exact thread in the Jamaica forum b/c she showed alot of sites in Jamaica that are close to the resorts. I love her show! And I love her suits!
  19. I'm watching BSB and she's in Jamaica. I thought I'd let all you Jamaican brides know. She climbs Dunn's Rivers and goes from Negril (Rockhouse Restaurant) and goes to the sites in Ocho Rios. I haven't finished but she probably goes to more sites too. Just thought that I'd let you guys know so you can see how GORGEOUS Jamaica is! It's on the Travel Channel!! Finished...she also goes to Bob Marley's house and swimming with dolphins. She goes to Goldeneye resort and to The Caves restaurant. Definitely check it out!
  20. The Library. Our library is about to open a coffee shop in it. But usually I go to starbucks or actually our favorite locally owned coffee shops are better and then go to the library. They have comfy chairs and its quiet. But our locally owned coffee shops all have free wi-fi. Starbucks here is the only one not free so not alot of people go to starbucks. They are losing alot of money b/c of it. So either one of those. Good idea. I might get dressed, take my computer and head to the library.
  21. It reminds me of the other winner of that show Paul Potts......youtube him. He did the same. He didn't "look" the part but when he sang he got a standing ovation. Amazing. My favorite is Connie Talbot the six year old who made the judges cry. She's AMAZING! for six years old!
  22. I was gonna say but didn't yeah the Wii fit shouldn't be your only workout (if you're going for that). I only do it for the games. Especially the hula hoop! But I do yoga as my workout (not on the wii). I also forgot we play Guitar hero on the Wii and love it.

I Love all Zelda games but how they did it on the Wii is amazing! I too wish I could find something similar to play. If you find something let me know!!
  24. Love the Wii fit. Actually my MIL has a Wii next door and we use to play hers...then we bought our own. They actually don't use their Wii at all! I like how it keeps track of your loss and stuff. The games are actually fun. We also love Trivial Pursuit. Sounds boring but so not. We play it in french to make it harder. Amazing how much you actually know in French. A one player game I like is Mario Galaxy. Very fun game. It has a second player but he doesn't do much. I also LOVE LOVE Zelda. Little harder but love it.
