  1. If you Pm me I can tell you some more. I wanted to do a volunteer thing so bad a few years back! I'm a member of quite a few organizations. They email to do it all the time but I just can't afford it (back then). And then I got married. I actually would of done UN volunteering. They actually pay you to "reinstate" yourself back into society. Yes, its long term but they also do couples volunteering. I'm also looking into Doctors without borders for DH. But some of the other pay your own way ones are much shorter and they aren't terribly expensive.

Is it possible to just do that and not worry about the CM? How are you all doing? Tami? Calia? Hope you're all doing ok. I know that if I get AF in early Jan I will be sad and that's just one month. I can see already how it can be quite the emotional rollercoaster. Welcome. It sounds hard at the beginning but it's not really. If you really want to understand it I suggest getting the book Taking Charge of your Fertility. Very detailed and easy to understand. I use CM and temp personally. Sometimes your temp can be off for a variety of reasons. Drinking the night before, sickness, restless sleep and other things. So using your CM helps you pinpoint your ovulation date. Yes it is such a rollercoaster. I hope that each of you on here gets preggo fast. 2 years of this rollercoaster is really hard and I don't wish it on anyone. We took a break for a month and a half. I just couldn't stop crying one night. So I took all my stuff and threw it in the trash. Dh went and saved it later and hid it for when I was ready again. I'm now on progesterone to help balance out my estrogen. And trying not to get stress as that makes your estrogen level go higher. DH is adjusting me b/c my hips and pelvis are so out of whack its messing with my uterus. So that's my update. Kat - that would be cool re: FF. I will get more into it and then we can PM and friend eachother I also pee in the very early morning. If between peeing and waking you don't have 3 hours I would take your temp when you pee. If its the same time every day just take it then. If it's not then set an alarm to wake you up and temp then pee. Don't pee first! Quote: Originally Posted by ~Andrea~ How are you TTCer's doing? I recently signed up for ff and have learned a ton! Is there really a difference between thermometers? This one seems to be doing the trick. Do you all take it while lying in bed? I get up and walk three steps to the bathroom to take mine. I can see this will be a roller coaster ride already! You really need basal b/c it's more accurate. It's really used for your internal temperature. I know quite a few TTCer's who take it vaginally. Of course you don't have to but it's more accurate. I do it orally. Yes you should not move before taking your temperature or lay there. Your temperature rises the longer you lie in bed. Do it first thing. If you don't have a nightstand tuck it in the mattress. I keep mine on my nightstand within arms reach. Yes it's a rollercoaster ride. Hope your ride is short!
  3. just some FYI she is going to finish the fifth book bc the demand was so high. And they fired the director of the first movie bc of the bad reviews and special effects. So hopefully the new director will do better with the next one.

I just wanted to add one thing b/c I would like the right informotion out there. No state can force you to vax your child. And each state has exemptions for public schools. I use to live in St. Louis and knew a whole group of mothers who did not vax and had their children in public schools. If any of you would like a ton of information on vaccines please pm and I'd love to share it with you. But again each state has a simple form you fill out and give to your school. Usually they don't cause any trouble. They just put it in the file. Heres a link for each state and what exemptions are allowed. State Exemptions Information Pm me if you have any questions.

Not sure what Sony's does but the Kindle has other features that I didn't know about like internet access (not just for downloading books) and the ask amazon thing where you ask a question about anything and they answer you back. If you read a lot or read a few books at a time like I do it is handy to take everything on the go in a small package. You can also get daily newspapers delivered to your Kindle. Congratulations! I love my Sony too. Yes the Sony does not have the internet at all. But it was something I really didn't need. So I was willing to go without and save on price. I have an iPhone so I didn't need 2 gadgets with internet. I just download what books I want and go. I do love how light it is and easy to take around.

  7. Hey girlies. I'm in town! YAY! I miss Dallas. I wrote on Kat's I think facebook that I would love to get together with the Dallas girl's while I'm here. If anyone's up for getting a drink together let me know!!
  8. I lived a few hours from here growing up and been a few times. I would google cabins. I don't remember the name of them I was younger. Cabin Fever Getaway or Cabin Fever Vacations is where my brother and fiance stayed a few weeks ago and they liked it.

  10. So we went into the parlor we researched and he said he could do it right then. I almost peed my pants! I was so nervous and I went first. For a weird reason it hurt more on the left than the right. But it turned our well I think. Here's the pic of mine. Sorry my husband is super tall so he took it looking down at my back. We left some space over the spine so 1. it wouldn't hurt as bad and 2. they are kinda seperate and unique.
  11. ok we decided on the coordinates. No where should I put it? I was thinking between my shoulder blades or on my arm ?
  12. So our one year anniversary is tomorrow! OMG! I can't believe it. Anyways we were thinking of getting matching tattoos as our gifts to each other. We were thinking of the coordinates of where we got married. And not just the city but actually on the beach where we got married. So it'd be like: N 28 18' 16'' W 32 29' 00'' (those aren't it) I have them but what do you guys think? Is this tacky? We don't want names b/c thats bad luck. And no hearts or something. Our other idea was tattooing wedding bands under our wedding bands. But my DH is a chiropractor and is worried when he adjusts people his ring will slide and then he'll get asked what it is alot. What do you guys think?
  13. I think I figured it out. Went to photobucket added a frame and text (could of done it in paint) then I print screened it. Took it to paint cropped out the paperclip that photobucket puts on it. Saved it. Opened it in their Microsoft Office picture manager and printed it on the photosmart printer and it let me change preferences to right paper size. I wasted about 15 sheets of paper (oops). Sheesh that was hard!
  14. I took the pic with their camera uploaded it to their computer. I just want to write happy birthday and a border and print on 5X7 picture paper. I can't figure out how to print on paint. I did photobucket but it won't let me print from there.
  15. Yes but then how do you print it at my printer?
  16. My boss's birthday is today and she didn't tell me. Someone called and told me. So me and her son made a birthday cake in the snow and I took a picture of him. Is there any website where I can upload the picture and then print at home with a cool frame. I have photo paper I just need a cool frame for it. She has a Hp Photosmart thinger but I don't know how to use it. Please help!!
  17. It snowed earlier this month but wasn't alot just melted. Well it started snowing yesterday afternoon and is still going! It was a total whiteout! I had to have DH come save me. We can't even see the mountains through all the clouds. Not even the sun! After lunch me and my kid I watch are going sledding and snowman making. We're expecting about 10 more inches by tomorrow. Yay<sarcastic>! I took these with my iPhone at work so they're not the best. But all I can do right now.

I like oprah, i just didn't like most of the books. so is the reader set during WW2? I told mike about the books i ordered today & he sounded interested. Do you also buy 2 copies? I thought that might be a waste, but I think we'd want to read at the same time some nights. I agree. I don't usually like Oprah's picks either. Sometimes she picks for weird reasons. Like I read "Night" so many years ago and then she did the month long special but it's been out for so long. Anyways I don't pick books b/c of her. The Reader is set a little bit after the war. It's about a 15 year old boy who gets in a relationship with a much older woman (30 something?). Don't let that scare you away though. Then they lose touch until he is in law school and the War Crime Trial's start and he meets her again. It really is a beautiful book. And yes we use to buy 2 copies. When we were long distance dating we would buy 2 movies and watch at the same time. Or read together. Now we buy one and read to each other. Same idea though and fun. Good luck.
  19. I was about to post without reading responses but I wanted to second The Reader. Personally I don't read books just b/c they are Oprah's BC books. I don't really like her taste always. I just read it b/c I love historical fiction. This book was amazing. It's historical fiction and has charactor development. Me and my DH also do the two book thing. Especially when we were dating long distance we read to each other. But I'm a book whore. I can't wait to see this movie. There's alot of reading in the book and they brought it into the movie so it should be good. I definately recommend this! I read everything on WWII. So if you need any historical fictions of this time period I have quite a few to recommend. I go through my whole library shelves and they have to order more. Haha! But definately check out The Reader!
  20. Well in the article it said she has two asian sons, three caucasian babies and one african daughter hence another African child. And the baby supposedly the mother had aids and father is unknown. And they have to wait till January till she's 6 months old. But again this I don't think has been verified so we'll have to wait and see.
  21. I just read a magazine that says they are adopting one more but she's not pregnant?? It's a girl from Africa so they'll have 2 African babies so Zahara doesn't feel left out.

So they fixed that. I didn't know Kindle had a glare problem either. I really like the sony though. It's pretty awesome.
  24. Ok I changed my mind. I cancelled my order. It just takes too long to get here. And they are suppose to release the new kindle around the same time. My DH surprised me and got me the Sony. I LOOOOOOOVE it. Its skinny like an Ipod just so light. I downloaded a book ( i have 5 hardbacks I'm trying to read) and its so easy. The sony store is like i tunes super easy. So far I love it!!
  25. Saw this too. So sad! She had a hard life. But she was so gorgeous. And yeah if you check out this pictures some are quite scary.
