ROR - The Weather & What to Do?!!!
Birdie07 replied to sportsdog2's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
I got married December 18th. The whole time we were there it rained earlier in the day. I had my time at 4:00. However my mom was running late and didn't start until 4:30. No rain and beautiful sunset pictures. I wouldn't worry and would stick with the 4 pm slot! -
Ultimate TV Question: DirectTV or Comcast?
Birdie07 replied to Infinity22's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
So I've had them all. I hated Comcast! I just won't even go there. Right now I have Direct Tv and we love it. And I have never had a problem with the satellite. I live on top of a mountain so maybe that helps? Haha. I don't know. But my favorite was At&t Uverse. It's new and it's not a satellite. It comes through your internet? I can't remember exactly. But I LOVED it! It helped we had att phones so everything went together. You don't have to have a phone line b/c it comes through the internet. But b/c its new it's not offered everywhere but most big cities usually do. I wish we could have it again! But att isn't offered here. But saying that we love our directv. We have the DVR not tivo and I love it! -
I made these last night and brought the extra dough and they are delicious!!!!! Very big!!!

Opinions/Experiences with Kindle, Sony E-reader, Nook or Kobo?
Birdie07 replied to Birdie07's topic in Random Thoughts
K I was on my way to buy the Sony and turned around. I finally made my decision. I ordered the kindle. The things why. THe library with amazon is MUCH more extensive than sony. Not only do they have more books they are cheaper. You can get new books for 9.99 at amazon. Yes Sony comes with 100 free at signup but they are only the classics. I'm not that into the classics. I like instant download. I'm more away from home than at my computer. So pre-thinking about what books to get wasn't high up there. I like that I can get a book when I hear about it instantly. I like that I can highlight and take notes. I do that in my books I can't with the Sony. Sony is not know for its software and all the bad things I heard about it's store made me go with Kindle. I think in the long run amazon will get more books and last longer than the Sony. Big dislike! I DON"T GET IT UNTIL FEBRUARY! Stupid Oprah announcing and giving the 50 bucks off makes me have to wait and I don't even get the 50 bucks off! I wanna slap her upside her face. Haha just kidding. Oh well I can't wait till I get it!! -

Maybe I'll do that instead!!! Thanks for the info. We loved redbox! It's 1 dollar per day and you used to have to return it by 7 now I think it's 8. So thats awesome. Sometimes they're out of what you want but we have two close to each other so we just go to the other one. You can also go to redbox's website and rent them and then go pick them up! I love that. You can see what they have before driving all the way out there. We loveeeeeee redbox!

I saw the Happening and I liked it personally. And we started the Strangers and I got freaked out. So we turned it off. My favorite movies are scary movies. But I just couldn't handle it for some reason and I've seen like every scary movie ever.

Birdie07 replied to lovefreddy's topic in Random Thoughts
3 am just got back. LOVED it. Quick review. Glowing effect in sunlight SUCKED! House was nothing like the book (Cullens house) and her breathing made her look perpetually scared. And our film melted. Took half an hour to see the last two minutes of the film (see blog) but other than that they stuck true to the book (unlike Harry Potter). I loved it. -
"Twilight" Series and Movie Discussion--WARNING! Spoilers!
Birdie07 replied to lovefreddy's topic in Random Thoughts
OMG! This morning as I was driving to work I try to win this trivia contest. Both me and DH have won before. Dh twice. But I didnt know the answer. Well then she says she's giving 4 pack tickets to the midnight showing of Twilight later. Well I get to work so I don't hear any more about it. So at 11 I turn the radio on and I don't hear anything. By 1 I still haven't. So I take the little boy I watch out and we listen to the radio. So I call the station and the DJ answers and I ask how to win tickets. And she said when you hear a clip from the trailer then be the first called and then she said "And you'll never know when I'm gonna play it...." Giving me a hint. So I hang up and she plays it right then. I call back and I lose. So I go through the drive through at Wendy's and they get my order wrong so I go back around and she plays the clip AGAIN! So I call and just as I'm being handed my fries she says I WIN! OMG! I won 4 tickets to see Twilight at Midnight tomorrow! So if anyone wants to fly in and see it with me Come on over! YAY!! -
Are immuni+ and probiotics actually good for you???
Birdie07 replied to Michelle's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
In a short answer yes. I'm not clear on the Immuni but probiotics yes. Probiotics are small bacteria that help balance out your stomach flora. It helps you digest food and when your stomach bacteria is balanced it boosts your immune system. Think about it like this..if your stomach "bacteria" is out of wack you can't digest your food very well so you're not getting the nutrients from the food that you should and need to. So taking a probiotic helps balance everything so when you eat you get what you need. Also if you eat alot of Gluten that our body doesn't digest well anyway, probiotics can help you digest it better. It helps also to regulate your BMs (if you have a problem in that area). Bromilin can also help you digest food better and its found naturally in pineapples! I called my DH to make sure I got all that right. He said if you don't really have a problem though they won't do anything. So they won't harm you if you're all good. I actually know a few parents around here that give their kids Probiotics everyday. And my boss gives it to their dog regularly b/c of his stomach issues. Anyways I hope that helps. Sorry I don't know about the immuni stuff though but I'm guessing its similar. -

I'm going to finish up the one I already have and then go buy it from her. It just said SOY really big on the thing. I'm gonna try to google it. But I spent alot of money on the other stuff so I might as well finish those before I buy more.

I'm rambling now too lol But I understand what you're saying, parents need to be careful of what their children are reading, not just about religion, because I think most parents would be freaked out if their 8-10 year old was reading about sex, no matter what religion they are. Thank you. I feel like I wasn't rambling. You totally explained it. Thanks!!! Btw the movie comes out Friday!! -
So after many crying days of my hair. I finally got an appointment at a salon I heard good things about. They are much more expensive but AMAZING! I went in and the stylist said that she has said it like once her whole career but my hair was bad. She doesn't know what the other lady did. But she fixed it. It actually looks GOOD now. I told her I use natural shampoo and I hated having to use hairspray to make the other style look halfway decent and she told me I shouldn't have to do that with any hairstyle. She made it so I can blow dry it do two brushes and go! Or I can use this Soy texturizer to make it look piecy and more edgy! I found my regular lady. It isn't what I wanted originally but at least it looks good now! YAY! I can't get a good picture though. I was outside all day so it looks all weird now plus my face looks horrible! But you get the idea!! It flips out a little and she made the bangs look longer and the really short ones blend in!

Her books are fluff but sooooo addicting. She has two series. Anita Blake Vampire and the Merry Gentry series. The Anite Blake series has 16 books but I think a new one just came out so it might be 17. They are actually in the discussions to make a movie!! A little forewarning. The first few books of AB are quite different from the later books. I don't know what happened but she has a LOT of sex in her books. And I mean alot. So if that is something that bothers you then I'm just warning you. But it doesn't bother me at all. The first book in the series is Guilty Pleasures. You can actually get all the books in paperback except the last one probably. The Merry Gentry series is awesome too. It only has 7 books. I don't think she has a set number for her series. She just keeps writing. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I LOVE these books! Reminds me I need to go to the bookshop and get the latest one! And completely different topic. I read the Host. And it was pretty good. Different from Twilight but pretty good. I think it would make a good movie. -

Hannah Maries Birth Story and Pics!! See Post #55
Birdie07 replied to ACDCDCAC's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
Congratulations Karama she's a cutie! -
I called the manager and she told me to come in today. So I went in and oh on the phone she knew exactly who had done my hair. So I showed her the pic I originally wanted but there was no way to get that. So she blended the chopped layers and feather the bangs so they would lay right. It's still nothing like I want but theres not much I can do. And while she did my hair she kept grimacing at what the lady did to my hair. AND the lady who did it was there the whole time getting her hair highlighted. UGH! I can't get a good picture of it. But this is the best I can do. Oh and I never wear products in my hair and now I have to just to get it to do what I want. GRRR!
