Hello there - I do not have a wedding party but am having FOUR flower girls (nieces) and my ring bearer (who will walk with my mom before my dad walks me down the aisle)... Hey Neen - Sorry to hear about the problems that you are having. We had signed a contract with the PRC and went for our planning visit, after sending STDs and some guests booking the resort, and were really disappointed with several things, the greatest being the service, but one of them being the nickel and diming that you are talking about. By the time all was said and done, we would have paid $10K for our 40 person reception, and we decided that we could spend that much at a resort with better service, so we moved it to the Moon Palace. At first we were concerned that it was a "wedding factory" but then we just decided that if they do 5 weddings a day, they know what they are doing and it is a big enough resort that it wouldn't really matter. Good luck with whatever choice you make...

I just ordered two bracelets from an Etsy seller who also has a website called Kennebug Boutique Jewelry. She is doing custom bracelets (in my colors) for my two flower girls for $12 each! I thought that was a great deal.

There is another supplier called T-Shirt Webstore that has cute bags, more like an insulated lunchpail but it will hild a six pack. I bought 7 of them for my mom when I bought my OOT bags there. Click on bags, then I think it was under the Harriton bags. They were only about $2.24 or so I think, there is no minimum, but they don't do imprinting. They are cute though!

Hey there, just FYI, HOB quoted me a higher price for my Marisa gown than Netbride did and would not honor their 5% less guarantee for it. I ended up ordering it from Netbride and the service & product was fantastic! I got the dress for $800 less than the dress shop, $100 less than HOB, AND it came a month earlier than expected!!

They say 90 days in advance, but I contacted Miami about 4 months out and asked if they would let me book a specific place so that I could put the specifics on my invites. They were great once I explained why I wanted to get my contacts a little earlier. Good luck! I am less than two months out and can't wait!

Have any of you made arrangements to rent a car while you are in Cancun? We were going to plan to do this as we will have a couple of guests at another resort up the road, but we are finding that with insurance, etc, it is going to be almost $600 for the week. Anyone have a better experience or any recommendations? We've booked directly through the resort so I don't have a TA to ask. Thanks!!

Hi there. I am sorry to hear that you are going through all of this. There have been several girls on here who sound like they have had a great experience at the Paradisus. I was to be married there this April, but in November we went there for a planning visit and we just had a lot of issues, mostly service-wise, which caused us to move the wedding to another resort. We just felt that they were not "on top" of things (similar to things that you have mentioned) and with our guests spending so much $$ to come we just couldn't justify going someplace that we weren't sure that they would be taken care of. Again, with that said, there are several girls who had great experiences. I am a Director of Operations at a hotel and am just a tough traveler with high expectations. My advice would be to lay out your expecatations directly to the WC, tell her why you are disappointed with the slow response, that you would like for her to make you feel more comfortable with booking the resort, and see what her response is. That should help to understand whether they will be willing to work with you give you a great stay. Good luck!

Are you getting married at the Melia Caribe Tropicale? If so, I was there a couple of years ago for a long weekend and it was fantastic! We saw a wedding, the gazebo was beautiful, they had a horse drawn carraige, so pretty. The resort itself was fantastic.
