We went back and forth between the pool and beach but figured the beach because when is the next chance we'll be able to dance in the sand? :-) Everyone is excited about it. We are using tiki torches provided by Chandlyn and also have 100 luminaries to set out. Oh that sounds awesome!!!

Yes, they bring the cake out with everything you need. All the tables are the same size (32") & they just move them together - FYI.
  3. Those are really good!! Another one... Popular Jamaican phrase - "No problem mon" (They really say this all the time) That's all I can think of...
  4. Oh, how exciting!! Have a wonderful trip!! Congratulations!

Good, there's hope for me then!!!!! they weren't bad at all - i was pleasantly surprised. i don't know if they would have got worse though. Thanks for all the info ladies! Keep it coming if you think of anything else!

Yeah, I did read somewhere to start taking folic acid at least a month before going off the pill. So maybe I'll start with this soon & take a mulit-vitamin. Or should I just take a mulit-vitamin? I'm not sure how much folic acid you need?

I'm kind of nervous about my periods too cuz they used to be really bad before I want on the pill. We'll see though...

  11. Hey everyone- I'm thinking about going off the pill soon and I was just wondering if there is anything I should know?? I've been on it for about 8 years... We are planning on just seeing what happens for the first few months and if nothing I guess really start trying. Who know though...that's what were saying now?
  12. Congrats & Welcome! Riu is awesome!! There is a ton of info on here - Good luck planning!!

It's not like their clothes are maid of some special thread. I remember back in the day when the prices were closer to the Gap, now they're more expensive than Abercombie....(which is another one...) I'm just tried of paying more for poorer quality......The Gap these days, their clothes are crap, Abercombie, I totally stop buying for the FI because it's made like crap. Their prices go up while their costs go down..... I wish I could buy everything on etsy! I just wanted to vent! $70 is ridiculous for men's trunks. Old Navy has cute one's for like $20!! FYI.
  15. My bridesmaids also so wore a lightweight chiffon type dress. Pick what you like though - it's your day. There is a very nice breeze off the ocean in the afternoon at the Riu so if you're getting married on the beach it'll be nice!
  16. I got my fans from bliss wedding market online. They were $10 for a pack of 10. They are very cute and have assorted colors. I got the turquoise!

  19. I had my alterations done thru David's and I think it was $200. They hemmed it, put in a bustle, and took in the middle. They did a great job though!

  21. I would definitely schedule a semi-private dinner and then at least have there be an option to go to a certain area/bar for after dinner drinks, etc... (This is usually free with an AI) I think it's definitely worth it to have a bit of a schedule for your guests on the big day!! I opted for a private reception cuz that's what I wanted & I knew my guests would enjoy it. Also, I did not have an AHR when I returned home-FYI. We didn't do OOT bags but we did hand out personalized travel mugs & hats at our "free" welcome dinner.
  22. I flew air jamaica and I didn't even ask to hang it up in first class. Our flight was not full so I just put my garment bag in the overhead bin. It folds in half so it's pretty compact. When I got to Jamaica I took it out of the bag and hung it in th closet. There wasn't a wrinkle on it when I put in on. I wish I didn't stress so much about this before cuz it worked out fine. I brought a travel steamer just in case and no one needed it.
