Who was your videographer? Mine was mike cantarell. I don't know how long my video will be. I'm hoping it's a file I can trim down into a short thing for the AHR. I want to combine the video with pictures. I have found when I'm trying to set pictures to the beat of a song, something with hard notes like a piano works really well. I am also going to incorporate pics and then have the songs fade out as we actually say our vows, etc. I have this grand concept but we will see how well it works out!! Thanks for the suggestions. I love DMB! I may use some latin songs since my husband is hispanic. I really like Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor (Juanes) and Tu Amor Me Hace Bien (Marc Anthony). Hmmmm. So many choices but I also want everything to hit just right! What a project.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion Maura. What a unique sound. I was just picturing you dancing to the song at your wedding with the breeze and ocean in the background. How cool!
  3. I am in the process of condensing my 2 hour wedding day video into 2 shorter videos (one that is 10-12 minutes and another that is 3-5 minutes). I want to play the shorter one at our AHR and the longer one will be for me and the family since quite frankly I was bored sitting through the whole two hours and I was the bride!! However, I was wondering what song or songs you used for your video. I am thinking about using our first dance song which was Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" and Michael Buble's "Everything" but I need one or two more options. Thoughts? Suggestions?
  4. Everything looks wonderful. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck as you embark on this new adventure!!
  5. We had ours at La Habichuela La Habichuela.com in Cancun. We sat outside in the garden area and it was very lovely. The food was good (nothing super special) but I don't remember how much it cost (about $10-$20 per entree). We had about 25 people.
  6. WOW Morgan!!! How many pictures did you take total? That is so fabulous that you shared them. You just saved all the girls that want to get married at that hotel the cost of a site visit. Great job and cute pics!
  7. Good luck with the interview! You will do great. Do you have a nice skirt that hits you at the knee or just below that you could wear instead?
  8. Your pictures are beautiful and you look gorgeous in your dress. Congrats.
  9. We were in Argentina earlier this year for very close friend's wedding and we picked up a copy of the local paper. We are going to give it to them on their 1 year anniversary. It was actually a very memorable day because the islands off the coast of Argentina were on fire and the wedding almost didn't happen. We laugh about it now though and I think the paper will be a nice reminder for them. I realize this is not an option for you but how about putting together a scrapbook or photo album. It can either be from the wedding (maybe pictures they have forgotten about) or of you guys over the years. Pretty typical but I will keep thinking.
  10. Ooohhh. Thanks ladies. I am going to check both out now.
  11. I wake up achy every morning. It is time for a new mattress. What do you guys have and do you love it or hate it? We need a brand that is available in cal-king. Any suggestions?

  14. We did our religious ceremony in May in Mexico and our civil ceremony back home in June on my hubby's birthday. It is nice for us since we will celebrate May 10 as our anniversary but when we are celebrating DH birthday we will also be celebrating something else.
  15. Oh no!!! I am sorry to hear that but your post made me laugh out loud. I guess wearing a turtleneck is out of the question unless you are having unseasonably cold weather. I think I heard (back in the 80s) that toothpaste works but then you might be walking around with a blob of white on your neck (which could be better than the hickey). I think a lot of coverup is the way to go. Hey, everything comes back around. I think you should "wear" that hickey proud and tell people it is back in style.
  16. My best friend (who was also my MOH) and I both found out on Monday that we are getting new jobs. Mine took almost a year to get through the process and they made a new position for her. We are both super excited and are going to celebrate on Friday at our favorite local Mexican place. But I am a couple days late for my period so I don't know if I can have a margarita!
  17. The dress is gorgeous and you look so beautiful in it. Congrats on finding the one!!
  18. They look fantastic!! One more thing checked off the list. Great job.
  19. Wow Glenda! Less than a week to go. Where did the time go? You must be so excited. I was in a similar situation as you. My dress wouldn't zip all the way with my bra on but I took that thing off and had cups sewn in and I was good to go. I also had a full Catholic mass for our ceremony and the up and down wasn't too bad. I didn't bustle my dress but it didn't have a super long train anyway. All the best to you on your upcoming day! I hope it is all you dreamed of and more. BTW, your dress is absolutely gorgeous and I know you will be even more gorgeous in it!
  20. Everything looks fabulous and your hair is lovely. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see more. CONGRATS!!
  21. I did this for my wedding and I wanted to use them for AHR too. The price is great. Thanks for the link.
  22. I think I commented too soon before. WOWZA Morgan! You look absolutely gorgeous and happy and full of life. I love all these pictures. Congrats so much to you and your new hubby!
