  1. if everyone feels the same as you, and you've never had a wedding w/ alcohol, then sure, it makes sense for you. but personally, i can't imagine a wedding w/o booze.
  2. welcome! i can't say enough fabulous things about dreams pv - you'll love it!!
  3. abbie, it looks awesome! any idea how many inches it was? i made the appt for the big cut next sat.

I must say everything else was nice. i went to a beautiful backyard wedding w/ two port-o-potties too. it was the HOTTEST day of the year......let's just say ick. after i broke the seal, i snuck into the house Quote: Originally Posted by carly I have to confess that whenever I wear those special-suck-it-in-underwear, I always remove them before the night is over. Luckily, I didn't wear them for my wedding so at least I only act trashy at other peoples wedding! hahahaaaaa i take them off too, carly! one time i took them off at the table (we were put in the corner and no one could see) - but i totally pulled off my leopard print undies too!!! my friend's husband had a nice view...
  5. i can't think of a single use for it other than wiping down the shower doors when i'm done - which means that i have to leave it to dry and it's all grody looking and there's a perfectly good squeegee hidden in the shower.... i guess dishes.....
  6. heather, i'm sorry you had to deal with all of that...but jenny's right - at least it's months before and you can spend the next few months stressing about other things instead of [photographer name removed]. and morgan, you rock...but you know that already
  7. apparently no one has them...............
  8. i know a whole bunch of you are suckers for as seen on tv stuff... i bought a box to share w/ my parents and am now the proud owner of 4 small and 4 large shamwows...but i can't think of many uses for them! how do YOU use YOUR shamwow?
  9. i'm sorry shannon...i have no good advice to give, but if you need a drinking buddy, i'm only one town away!
  10. jenny everything looks wonderful! can't wait to see pro pics.
  11. i also do Freekibble and Freekibblekat it give you trivia!
  12. my sister and friend stayed in the club tower with us, on the first floor, in a deluxe room. maybe it's changed.
  13. what i meant was get a room in the club tower, even if it's the deluxe room. we didn't have to wait for check-in and received much better service than our friends and family in the other tower. our ta said she upgraded us to the jr. suite w/ jacuzzi even though no one booked through her...so we think it was the resort that upgraded us...but if you get confirmation of it, print it out and bring it with you. they tried to tell us that we hadn't been upgraded. oh, and if you weren't planning on it, print every email and bring it with you. that way you have immediate proof of everything from menu choice to flowers.

Also interested in the Dreams Suite, but I saw a picture of the "private pool" and it looked like the size of a hut tub...any advice? Has anyone seen the presidential suite?? Looks AMAZING!! i think i mentioned that rendezvous was the best bar to meet...maybe in another thread? we stayed in a jr. suite w/ jacuzzi. the jacuzzi was SO not worth it - just a bathtub. good think we were upgraded by our ta, otherwise i'd be annoyed at spending the $. i'd try to stay in a jr. suite, but know that it's not much different from a deluxe (regular) room. definitely spend the $ to get in the club tower.
  15. isn't there an option to get a floor put down on the beach? woven mats of some sort? idk where the indoor reception would be, but if it's where i think it is, i say stay outside.

She said that charge is for anything that requires personal wait staff. I'm sure some of you know this already, but I was glad to get it cleared up. I thinking to set the rehearsal dinner for either early or late to get on either end of the "dinner" crowd. My group is really low key. Anyone know as far as best times to eat at the restaurants? busiest times? etc? I'm just posting everything on our website for "calendar of events" so everyone will know what time to meet. just to reitertate what was already said, large parties will be separated. two nights before our wedding, we tried to have our group of 22 seated at portofino around 8pm. we waited about 45 minutes and then were split into 3 tables of 6 and a table of 4 spread around the room. we didn't mind b/c by then it was mostly cleared out, but we were scolded quite a few times for being too loud
  17. i had two sessions - underarm, brazilian, and lip. even w/ just two sessions, the last of which was over a year ago, there is much less hair growth and less ingrown hairs.
  18. my mom wasn't thrilled, but it was my dress and my decision. once she saw the pics she said she was glad i did it.
  19. we did the same as jenn - two ipods loaded with playlists for a hired dj to play. i don't recall the exact amount, but he was pretty cheap - maybe $450?
  20. if i remember correctly, there wasn't too much within walking distance. the hotel is at the top of a hill and is very secluded. i do know that some people rented houses nearby, but i don't have any info for that kind of stuff.
