  1. After reading your second post I have to agree with the thought that she is just plan screwy. I think you are right in limiting your contact with her since she seems to be unstable in many ways. I hope this situation get resolved very soon and you guys can move on to have a happy, healthy family even if it doesn't include your sister.
  2. Funny! I showed FH the hot pants suit one and he said "What wrong with it..oh the veils a bit much!" HA!!
  3. To wrongly accuse someone of something so horrible is, IMO, unforgiveable. One would think she had many facts to back up such a statement..does she? The scary thing is that she can go throwing these things around and cause an insane amount of stress and trouble for your FI and you. I pray that she gets her head out of what ever hole she has it burrowed into. I am very sorry to hear she is doing this to you.
  4. OH how great that there was even an arch! Love the puffy sleeved bride. Congrats!

That and I didn't have to drive any where today.
  6. Oh wow! Yor poor baby! I forgot you guys just moved there so you are probably still vet hunting, huh? That can be stressful. I can't offer you anything more than what has been already said other than goood luck.

And I would totally have taken the bread from you instead of going to aisle 5. But only if you gave me coupons. I would find this weather somewhat depressing if A.) It was the start of winter and not the begining of seeing the snow melt and B.) If I wasn't so busy planning a wedding and I KNOW it won't snow on May 2. For you, I will always have coupons!

  9. Well spring has arrived but not in the manner I had hoped. Snow! FH and I noticed there were some ducks at the semi-frozen pond by our house so we decided to head over to help them out with some bread. As we threw the chunks of bread at them we acted like the sample ladies at the store--we told them that it was Sara Lee bread we were giving samples of today and it was for sale in isle 5 but we had coupons for 50 cents off if anyone was interested. I am a nerd! They got so close to us. Little foot prints in the snow! Notice the snow 'stache
  10. I agree that you can just make it sort of light hearted next time she brings it up. It was decided a while back between FH and I that we would not be calling our FMIL's "mom". I know if I rasied a child and he/she got married and started calling another person mom it might be hard to handle. It would be like FH calling someone else his wife. Kinda odd. My BIL does call my mother "Mama xxx" he is kind of a funny guy so he can pull it off...doesn't sound creepy.
  11. I am in the same boat but we have it worked out so one sister stands next to me and the other signs. That way they bothed worked it out. We did the exact same thing at my sisters wedding last year, I stood next to her so my older sister signed! It works for us.
  12. Get out!! That is so great. Doesn't Enforcer Ann rock?!
  13. Uugh! That really sucks! That is a lot of money to say goodbye to. Too bad because they look pretty cool. Good luck.
  14. Congrats!! How exciting. Let us know how it went. You are a MRS!
  15. Wow--A true miracle What a dumbass for having such poor business practice-he is loosing so much from just one forum. Yipppeee--we are getting our pashy things.
  16. That is so great--I will also cross fingers for the whole order to be complete. Sidenote:Tami you should just quit your job and focus on our needs for once become a 24/7 BDW member.
  17. Way to go! Those look great. One little tip for you--I have put my hand over the flash before when I can't figure out how to turn it off--might help you!
  18. I am in the process of using them. I guess I would have to wait and see what our guests say. My shower is in a few weeks so I made up insterts for my MOH to put in the invites--kind of like those ones you get from most places you register. Not much I can tell you but check with me in 7 weeks! Oh and I would also suggest registering some place local so those people who are not internet savvy can just walk into a store and get you something. I just can't see my grandma using the service.
  19. That is an insane amount of people! I once watched a show where this party planner put plastic table clothes over all the fabric couches--maybe you could try that. Treat them like kids and they might leave! Oh and make them use sippy cups!
  20. My father passed away and I am not putting his name under parents of the bride on the program- I think it would cause some confusion that day. As far as how to recognize him, I put "In our hearts, spirits, and thoughts today and forever." and put my dads name (chris' brother passed so his name is there too) You can run the risk of making your program look like a funeral bulletin if you get into it too much. I know our first draft did!
  21. I just stumbled across this site this morning and I think you all will love some of the great ideas they had. I can't even begin to post all my favorites! Pink Cake Box Wedding Cakes & more Check it out!

I've been around to a couple of print places and no one will do vellum printing on site. They all send it out and then it takes 7-10 days to get back. What kind of printer are you using? Did you have any problems? I have an inexpensive inkjet, it's a Lexmark. Ours pops the prints out at the bottom and they are face up so I just have to do them and once it gets spit out I grab it right away, making sure to not touch any ink, and place it aside to dry. I let them sit for about 5 minutes but you can go less. I could just look and see if they were dry--very shiny when wet. I guess that is my big tip-don't touch them and set aside. I love Vellum and was thrilled when I found a pack of 50 sheets at Michaels for like $10.
  23. hmmmm, I just gave you some points so see if you have it now.
