I am currently working a job I love, with a paycheck I hate. I make 36000/year and about 5,000 in comission, and work anywhere from 50-80 hours a week. I love my job, but I took a serious pay cut when I moved to AZ from MN. We're talking a 20k pay cut, so it's been an adjustment for me to live on less. However, at my current job I have serious potential for making good money if/when I get a promotion. Probably tripple what I make now. So I'm sticking around for the light at the end of the tunnel! However I will say, at my last job I make good money, but HATED my job. And from that I've learned that I'd take a job that I loved with bad pay, over a horrid job with good pay any day of the week. I was misrable at my last job, and now I enjoy going to work.

ahh, I've so been there! I had a BM dress that came in late - a week before the wedding - and it wasn't even close to zipping. I cut out sugar, soda, and liquor, and ate sensible small meals and lost 6lbs in 1 week. I also walked every single night for 45-60minutes at a decent pace. Also, while those heart diets can work, I tried one a while back and I was so light headed and sick feeling the entire time. And that is not what I'd want to be on my wedding day! IMO I'd stick with eating sensible and getting some workouts in.

way off topic, but Rachel I LOVE your new hair!!! -
I've had a few wedding day nightmares but lately they are more current and vivid. So last night my nightmare consisted of: 1. having a really short ugly haircut, and no professional help for the wedding day 2. not wearing any make up to the wedding because i forgot to shop for it 3. missing the first boat over to the wedding site and having to swim there, getting picked up by a little blow up boat, but falling out and having to swim again 4. my dress was completely see through and alterations weren't done 5. the back of the dress was a V cut, and showed my butt crack 6. to top off the V cut, I was wearing just plain old everyday undies and was pissed at myself for not buying special wedding day undies In my totally non professional analysis, I think I need to start checking some items off my wedding to do list. which is currently titled "wedding shit" hmm, maybe a better attitude would help too!

how do i get married in the states? philly, pa?
tvt replied to tlomlad's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
got that info from PHILA.GOV | Welcome to the City of Philadelphia then clicked on marriage license. in az we had to first get the marriage license, then we went to the courthouse and were legally married by a judge. it was easy peasy. getting the marriage license took the most time. and then if you google courthouses in your area, you can usually call one and they will tell you exactly who you need to call to schedule your legal wedding. al in all it took us 2 weeks from the time we started researching it, to the time we were legally married. -
