  3. Here is the package/pricing information for the DJ that Claudia put me in contact with. I think I've posted it before somewhere, but thought I'd do it again to make it easier to find. This is the e-mail address of the man I've been corresponding with. His name is Kim. <[email protected]> DJ___Wedding_Package.pdf

Very nice, suited her style and tone of wedding. I only have the ppt Claudia sent and I have different ideas for flowers that what she offers as VIP bouquets. The DJ we are using (which Claudia referred us to), has been very acommodating. They will play whatever you want. You just have to e-mail them a list of songs and if they don't already have it, they said they will get it. The DJ is also an MC and will meet with you at the hotel before the wedding to go over details. Are all the pics posted of BM bouquets? Because these seem to be different than the Power Point I received of bouquet options. I think I'm going to have to start from scratch with bouquets...I'm worried that this going to get very expensive (I have 7 BM).
  5. I plan on renting the sound system. We're going to keep the ceremony really short and simple, so I don't think I'll be using any music during the actual ceremony...just before and after.
  6. I was just thinking...Paula's e-mail was helpful to all of us...Maybe we should start posting any e-mail responses we get from Claudia that might be relevant to others.
  7. Looks like I'll have to stick with their florist too. I'm sure they'll do a great job. I just thought I could maybe do it for a little cheaper and with a little more personal attention with an outside vendor. Oh well, in the long run, it will probably make my life simpler.
  8. Mishi- We missed you around here! Glad your back. It looks like everything was amazing. You two make a gorgeous couple! Congratulations, and I can't wait to hear/see more!
  9. Yes there is a bar located at the terrace. You wouldn't really need waitstaff after dinner is cleared.
  10. Thanks for the info! Yeah...I'm not sure about the extra fee to stay and party, what's that all about? If you stay past 8:30, you have to pay, even if dinner is over? That doesn't seem right.
  11. Bienvenidos! I'm sure you'll find all the "ammo" you need here to convince FI of a DW!
  12. to the forum! Several DR brides have joined the forum lately. I'm sure you'll be able to get a lot of help!

Amy..I'll see my BF tonight and try to get a pic for you!
  14. Thanks for your input ladies! I sent an e-mail to my BMs saying nothing more than "Pick one: lime-green or bright pink. Don't ask for any details." A few of the girls, I knew hands down which color they'd pick, but for the rest I'm going to use their feedback to decide which color bag to order them. I think I'm leaning towards #2 for some of the same reasons you ladies mentioned, but now I'm debating if I should get my flower girl, #1 in the FG style, or a matching one #2 like the BMs (she'll be 4 come wedding time).
  15. Good idea! What are the chances we can surprise her? I could never resist reading a post with my name in it I'm weak!!!

Wow! Congrats! How exciting. I'm so happy for you! Let's see some pics!
  17. First of all, what a gorgeous pic! The table and chairs are great! Is that your setting too? For my BF wedding, we made simple, inexpensive, and IMO beautiful centerpieces using limes. We used two glass, cylinder vases: one skinnier one to fit the size of the stems, and one larger one for the limes. We put the smaller cylinder inside the larger cylinder (you could use whatever shape you like), then cut up about 4-5 limes in a mixture of slices and wedges and arranged in between the inner and outer cylinder, and submerged in water. Then we placed a stem of hydrangea in the inner vase, and tied with a pink bow. Maybe you could use a few callas and brown bow instead. We added a few candles and vióla... She purchased the vases at Hobby Lobby for super cheap, and limes were about $10 for a case of 100 (and I would think available pretty much anywhere). The limes looked great...fresh, fun, and green! As an added bonus, your guests could "borrow" a few for their Coronas
