  1. Jilly... I will have a Tower room overlooking the gazebo for the group shot, but now I'm thinking that might take too much time for Citlali to run up there and back down, so I might just have her take two group shots, about 1/2 and 1/2....I don't know, still thinking about that. I was a little disappointed by the sunset comment, but I think we'll be able to get a couple of decent ones...I remember seeing a very beautiful sunset while we were there last Oct., so the buildings must not completely block it off. Oh well, nothing I'm going to cry over Let's see...what else... I'm still not sure when I'm suppose to cut the cake, and I think I'm probably not leaving enough time for toasts. Maybe I'll just have my dad's toast to start with, and then MoH and BM can have their time during dinner.

Susan, what was your timeline again, was dinner at 7? I remembered we discussed this before. I think I told her 630 but I think I want to change that because sunset is at 630 and I want some pics. So maybe I'll do 4 ceremony, 430 to 530 group pics at the beach, 530 to 630 cocktail hour (and our private pics) and dinner at 7. Jilly- I sent a "first draft" of my timeline to Claudia Rodriguez. I figured photographers have a good feel for how a wedding should flow, and she is quicker about getting back to me than Claudia from Dreams. Anyway, her comments are in blue. Hello Susan, I think you have all right, just a couple of comments in blue below: On May 5, 2007, at 2:09 PM, Susan Borzynski wrote: Claudia- How does this look like for a wedding day timeline. What do I need to adjust? DO YOU WANT SOME GETTING READY SHOOTS BEFORE CEREMONY USUALLY WE ARRIVE ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE CEREMONY TO TAKE THIS 4:00 Ceremony 4:30 Group shot by the gazebo IT'S GOING TO BE HARD TO GET A GROUP SHOOT OF 70 PEOPLE, UNLESS YOU CAN ASK THE PEOPLE FROM THE HOTEL TO OPEN ONE OF THE ROOMS IN THE TOWER, SO WE CAN TAKE IT FROM ABOVE WITH EVERYONE LOOKING UP 4:45-5:45 Cocktail Hour for guests 4:45-6:00 Pictures (Bride and Groom with Bride's THIS SHOULD BE ENOUGH TIME FOR PICTURES Family and Groom's Family; Bridal Party; Bride and Groom) 6:00 Grand Enterance of Bridal Party 6:05 First Dance, followed by Second Dance (Bridal Party and Parents) 6:15 Toasts 6:26 Sunset (What time do Bride and Groom need to FOR SOME REASON SOMETHING GOES A LITTLE LATE THEN YOU WON'T MAKE IT FOR SUNSET BUT ANYWAYS YOU DON'T SEE MUCH OF THE SUNSET FROM THE DREAMS IN CANCUN SUNSETS HAPPEN IN THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE OCEAN AND IN THE CASE OF THE DREAMS THE BUILDINGS BLOCK THE VIEW....sneak out of the reception?) 6:30-7:30 Dinner 7:30 Father and Daughter Dance 7:30-11:00 Dancing When is the best time to cut the cake? Should we do that immediately following the Grand Entrance? Also, do you suggest that we do some picture of the bride and groom seperate (with bridesmaids and groomsmen) before the ceremony? How much time should we allow for this?
  3. What fun pictures!!! Thanks for posting!

So now we listen to country all the time, funny how I used to HATE it! Yeah, I know, it grows on you! I've noticed that a lot of the "pop/top 40" stations are now playing some country too...like Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood, and all these people who swear they hate country are singing right along I hear Justin Timberlake is may put out a country CD. I can't wait...
  5. Claudia told me on the phone that they could accommodate 100 people in the club/terrace area. I better double check because I was counting on using that space, but we already have over 50 people booked. Thanks for posting Claudia's e-mail.
  6. "It's Your Love" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. I never listened to country until Matt made me a country CD a few weeks after we met. Now I love it, and this song is perfect for us. I think our "second dance" song (when the bridal party joins us) will be "I'll Stand By You", the Carrie Underwood version.
  7. How exciting! And I definitely think you are doing the right thing by giving him space to do things on his own terms. Guys tend to buckle under pressure. I bet if you totally let him off the hook (no bugging or nagging...I know it's hard!), you'll have that ring on your finger real soon!
  8. Here is my ER and WB again. You can't really see it in the pics, but there is a small diamond underneath the setting. I think I'm going to go with 2 WBs, one above and one underneath the ER. Metal is palladium.
  9. Jilly- I'm debating doing my own too, but I think I might just splurge. Do you know if we get a CD of all the pics?
  10. I'm so glad to hear how wonderfully everything went. I can't wait to see the pics. Now stop checking in with us, and enjoy the rest of your honeymoon!
  11. I know some of you are also using Claudia Rodriguez's studio for photography (I've booked with Citlalli...I'm so excited!). Anyway, she sent me some pics of her coffee table book. A 10-page book is $350, 20-pages for $650. What do you think?
  12. I would try calling her. I've talked her twice. Both times that I was able to catch her I called around 1:30-2:00 Central time. On another note, I talked with Addy in reservations today (she was the best!), and got everything straightened out with the room situation. My parents booked us a Honeymoon Suite while they were there in Feb. from Oct. 9-18. I called to request one on the top floor of the Pyramid building. I also reserved a two-bedroom master suite in the Club Tower for the night before and the day-of. I'm really excited about that! I plan to stay the night-before with all by BM, and then use the huge space (and two full bathrooms) to get ready on the day-of. I can't wait!
  13. Welcome! I'm getting married at Dreams Cancun. Let me know if I can help in any way. Since you have lots of time to plan, have you considered doing any site visits?
  14. Exciting! I can't wait to see!
  15. Glad to see you had so much fun! I love that everyone wore black, and you wore white. We did that for my BF bach. party and I thought it was great!
  16. Here is the link http://www.jlmcouture.com/designers/collection/1/7 I love this dress!
  17. I'm pretty sure it is Jim Hjelm, but an older collection. Let me see if I can find it.
