  1. My dad and I are dancing to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw. I love Tim and I love this song...but not what you are looking for!
  2. Kara- I think I got them all! I would suggest copying and pasting all these photos into a Word document or Power Point Presentation and attaching it to a post because at some point I will probably have to delete some of these images from my gallery (the gallery only allows each person to hold so many images, and I had to delete several to fit all these in...so I'm maxed out). I will try to keep them in my gallery as long as possible
  3. Cake= $70 for 30 people. And sash options for charis. Whew.....I think that is it. I was looking for photos like these everywhere when I first started planning, so I hope this helps someone! Thanks Kara
  4. More of the Flamingo Steakhouse. The last one is of the inside ballroom (for a pp fee).
  5. Sorry, pics got out of order...the middle two are of the Steakhouse (if you didn't already figure that out )
  6. 1/2= Steahouse Flamingo, where we are having our reception. It is AI- so the cost is free to have the reception in here. 3/4/5= The resort
  7. Kara has sent me lots of pics!!! I have to run to track practice.... I will post the rest this evening!
  8. If you can't figure it out, you can e-mail the photos to me, and I will post them for you. [email protected] BTW, Tammy...I love the new siggy pic!
  9. I saw this today in our local paper.....craziness! I wonder what he does for a living to afford that? And...I wonder what the ring looks like...if has spent that much just on the proposal, the ring better be just as impressive...I'm thinking no smaller than the size of a space rock LOL
  10. I just posted this on another thread...let me cut and paste.... Okay, here's the part about the recessional.... We going to go with "I'm a Believer" by Smashmouth (from the Shrek soundtrack) as a recessional. It's a fun, upbeat song, and also has significance for us because one of my nicknames forl Matt is "Shrek" (I think he sorta looks like him....and I mean this in the most loving way possible....I happen to think Shrek is really cute with his bald head and little ears...just like Matt!) What do you think? See siggy pic below?
  11. I'll be walking down the aisle to "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban. The song is pretty long (almost 5 minutes), so I think I'm going to have BMs and flower girls walk down to this song too, and then I will enter about 3 minutes into the song at the big cresendo (sp),- the real "dramatic" part I'm thinking about "The Prayer", Josh Groban and Charolette Church's version, for the parents/grandparents, and "I'm a Believer" by Smashmouth (from the Shrek soundtrack) as a recessional. 12. I personally like one main color and then a second color just for a "pop" So, I guess my suggestion would be to stick with the tiffany blue as your main accent color, and then add the bright pink for a pop. I've also seen a wedding where every table was a different, coordinating color. It sounds hideous, but it turned out beautiful. But, more importantly..it's your wedding, go with your gut!

I second-guessed myself too. Go back to the store and put it on again. You'll know the feeling if it's the right one! I ordered my dress a couple of months ago, but I'm so impacient waiting for it, that I stop in at the bridal shop every so often, to put it on and get that "Ahhh" feeling again. Once it's on, they practically have to rip it off me to get me to take it off (well, actually, if they just unclipped it, it would fall right off all by itself...but you get the point). I feel like the most vain person in the world with my dress on. I can't stop staring at myself in the mirror. I would be content all day just twirling and skipping around in it. ...All this talk of wedding dresses, I might have to stop back in tomorrow for another visit
  14. I really like the branches, and I think the font is great! What is the actual size of the invitation? The picture is showing up pretty small for me. I think the green is very pretty, do you have another accent color? Sometimes less is more, but you could try doing a very thin matte with an accent color for a little punch.
  15. Yes, they were a DIY project. I went to a great paper store in Milwaukee (Broadway Paper) and looked through some of their sample books (they literally have THOUSANDS of invites to choose from) for inspiration. I always knew that I wanted to do them myself (with the help of one of my BMs that has done invitations for other friends before). I also knew that I wanted a pocket-fold invitation because I liked the look and because of the amount information that I needed to include. When I found a pocket-fold I really liked, I went from there. I knew I wanted some "beachy" colors, but wanted to keep it somewhat formal. I went with a shimmery ivory cardstock (dark brown for the matting)-which I later ordered in bulk online for much cheaper. I did order the pocket-fold from Broadway-I looked into cheaper options online, but couldn't find anything I liked nearly as much (These were $2.25 each, but I got a 10% discount because I ordered over 100). And I fell in love with the ribbon, so that became the "pop" color. Once I had all the pieces, I went home and started designing. I made several...different fonts, different sizes, different spacing, different starfish, etc. Once I had the invite perfect, I used the same theme for my side-pocket cards. The starfish became our "logo". I printed everything with a laser printer on 8x11 cardstock. I was able to get 2 invites per pages and more for the smaller cards. Now the tricky part is cutting everything to size (with an exacto knife and ruled cutting board). The invites have to be cut 5.25x5.25, the dark brown matte 5.5x5.5. Each individual side-pocket card has to be cut to size and then the three have to be trimmed together to get a perfect fit (they are all the same width, but the height increase 1 in. for the middle card and 2 in. for the bottom card...to get the accordian effect). The logo square on the front has to be individually cut and matted, as does the square for the guests' names. The ribbon has to be cut, wrapped, and secured. So it is a lot of work, but there definitely is a sense of pride and ownership as well. We ended up postponing the assembly line today...because some of us were at a Cinco de Mayo themed bachelorette party last night....it was a little too much fun, and I'm still feeling the effects of all the partying..Don't think my head and hands would have been up for all the tediousness today.
  16. Courtney...I think all the dresses are beautiful. They seem pretty similiar in style (strapless with a pick-up skirt), and will all look gorgeous on you, so then you just have to go with the one you love so much, you'd sleep in it if you could (That's the advice my sister gave me...I know it sounds silly, but I found it to be very true!)
  17. Here is a mock-up of my invites! Tomorrow, I'm getting some of the BM together to start assembling! The printing is done, but now all the paper has to be cut to size; the actual invite, front logo, and guest name square have to be matted, ribbon has to wrapped around...Good thing I have a few crafty BMs that I trust to do a good job! Sorry about the quality of the pics. The paper has a sheen to it that didn't pick up well in the photos. Front of pocketfold, what guests will see when the open the envelope (The logo say "Susan & Matt" with "Cancun, Mexico 10.12.07" below: Names of guests will be printed here (I'm not doing a double envelope, because I figured the pocketfold serves that purpose) Inside: Side pocket cards (Response card, STD for AHR, and Accomodation card with reservation information on reverse)
  18. Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! You look absolutely breathtaking!
