I wish I was fun and adventurous with my hair... I've basically had the same hair cut since second grade when I grew my bangs out. And I've never ventured into color since I used Kool-Aid to make my hair red in 7th grade (my form of rebellion I guess). I'm just too chicken-sh*t to try anything new. More power to you! So, as many of you know, I have my wedding dress that I LOVE (a strapless MS). It just needs a few alterations and it will be perfect! But now I'm considering changing into a second dress that I can really dance and party in some time later in the evening. Like I said I LOVE my dress, but it is strapless (and I have little to keep it up), and while light compared to most dresses, it still has a little weight to it. So...my sister got married a couple of years ago and bought a fabulous Amy Michelson ($$$$$) that would be perfect. I know she'd be super excited if I wore it. The thing is we are not the same size. It's not that I think she'd mind if I altered it, but can I It would need to be brought from a size 10 to a 2. Is that possible? I don't want to bring it to a seamstress and have her laugh in my face. I know NOTHING about sewing or alterations. Do any of you have any idea? Here's pics of the dress (not my sister . Dreams Cancun has a great Kids Club. They keep them entertained all day and into the night!

Gorgeous! You and your DH need to be on the cover of a bridal magazine! And I love all the white. An engaged friend of mine mentioned having a "white wedding" which I had never heard of...I will definitely tell her to go for it. Beautiful!

What about doing a non-legal cermony there? Are there time restrictions on those? Maybe you could do the civil ceremony privately before hand. I believe it's common in Mexico for couple to have a private civil ceremony on a select day and then then religious ceremony and reception at a later date. You could always get married legally in the states prior to or after you return home (that's what we're doing because we don't want to deal with the paper work and blood tests in Mexico...we just want to enjoy ourselves).
