  1. These are kinda pricey, but beautiful. This site has a lot of great options, and I've heard good things from some of the BDW customers! http://store.latebloomerboutique.com/vabelihacl.html http://store.latebloomerboutique.com/clwhbeli.html http://store.latebloomerboutique.com/haivbeli.html
  2. I would like to wear mine down, but I know it's not practical. This is what I'm thinking:
  3. Jenn- Thank you! That was the picture I was looking for. Doesn't it look gorgeous?!?! I am just worried about the wind. When I looked at all those reception pictures that you posted form Michael Maurus...it looked super windy. I guess it's just a gamble. I think the garden area is out because of our numbers, but I almost think that would be worse for wind because the garden area is up higher along the cliffs. I don't know what to do...I guess I have a little time to think it over. I did e-mail our DJ service for their opinion as well as the photographer. Both have experience at Dreams and I feel will give their unbiased opinions. I'll let you know. Thanks! Oh yeah, the other potential downfall I was thinking about with the beach is the fact that there isn't a bar right there like there is at the Terrace.
  4. We will be thinking of you and praying for a swift recovery! Keep us posted!
  5. Congrats Drea! You look gorgeous! I love the starfish in the bouquet! I can't believe it's coming my way next ! Looks like everything went off without a hitch! Can't wait to see more!
  6. Yippee!!! Yeah! I'm so happy that is was everything you dreamed of and more. You know we can't wait to hear EVERY detail. And of course, see all those pics! Congrats!!!!
  7. We also skipped the STDs and sent out our invitations early (in May for our October wedding). Most people knew about our plans by early March and many had booked before the invites were in the mail. We asked everyone to RSVP by September 1 (so about a month ahead of time). Often there are last minute deals, and we didn't want anyone to feel like they couldn't come unless they decided way in advance. Most people sent the RSVPs back right away, but I think a month will be plently of time to do some minor adjustments for those who wait until the last minutes. So far we have 83 booked...and 15-20 probablies...ikes!
  8. Very cute Julie! I love those totes (especially the first one). I went with these (some in pink, some in purple): http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B000M23DIW I actually need a few more. I bought them in-store for about $10 each, I'm hoping they go on clearance online soon!
  9. Hey ladies- I need some help! I'm looking for the latest pics of the reception locations. I think someone posted some pics that Claudia sent them not so long ago. I remember a couple of shots of the beach area. Reason I'm asking... I was 100% set on having the reception using the Tower Lobby/Terrace area. Now that we have about 100 people attending, this is a problem. We'd probably be too tight at the terrace, and there would be no room for a dance floor. The alternatives seem to be a meeting room (which I REALLY don't want to do), or the beach (which I really didn't want to do either...but am a little bit more open to). I'm just worried about the wind, sand, and food... doesn't mix well. And dancing in the sand? Don't know how well that's going to work. Hmm, what do you think?

Since they're not all standing up on an altar or anything, I"m not that concerned how it looks. I guess there is going to be some doubling up walking down the aisle. We have 7 on each side...and they will all be standing up at the gazebo. At first I was worried that it would look ridiculous, but FI was not willing to cut back...and now I'm glad we didn't. I'm no longer concerned what it will look like

I also really like "This Everyday Love" and "Love You Out Loud" for faster songs. I have to be careful or our reception is going to turn into a Rascal Flatts concert!
  13. I'm trying to put the final touches on my playlist so I can send it off to our DJ. I'm looking for a good song to kick off the dancing and get the party started? Any suggestions?? Thanks!!!
  14. ¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños!!!!
  15. wkbroome is a married woman!!!! CONGRATS! She and her DH were married at Dreams Cancun yesterday!!!
  16. Rose- What a great movie!!! I wish we had our proposal on video...it's all such a blur. I think that's so neat that your FI makes mini-movies of your travels. What a great reminder of the places you've been. He did an awesome job of putting this video together...I love that he edited it so that the crescendo of the music is timed perfectly with the proposal. Thanks so much for sharing!
