  4. Yeah! Happy to hear your application is getting expediated! you would have thought! But sorry to hear about your site that is really too bad - because that was a beautiful location (I checked it out!) I am sure that you will find something else, or make this one work. Either way - it will be beautiful!!

  6. I love #2 on you. I think it is simple and elegant - and perfect for a DW!! Good luck deciding
  7. I'm so sorry for your loss Heidi. Having gone through a similiar situation myself, I can completely understand and sympathize with your mixed feelings. Is it possible for you and your siblings to have a private memorial for your own closure? It doesn't have to be a formal funeral or anything, could be at the park you are going to or in someone's backyard. I think it may help you to say goodbye, and possibly finally forgive him. My thoughts will be with you today.

I definitely do not want to be doing either of these myself... Sorry, I'm not much help. I've booked someone to do my hair, but she is from Playa del Carmen who did you find that does makeup in PDC?
  9. I actually just heard about this bar yesterday! and was wanting to look into doing a night there for my guests. I would be very interested to hear any response you might get from the club!
  10. That is too funny!! but I have a question - what were you doing at Kinko's at 4am?

  12. OMG - not only are those beautiful beautiful pictures - that is the sweetest engagement story! one of my favourites by far congratulations!

Looked amazing, but I can only imagine how much they spent to have them there, or how short it seemed like... And the DJ? For $1500 bucks? What a rip-off... ditto. though I am still playing with the idea of the trio - we'll see closer to the time

  15. We are bringing our photographers from Edmonton. I am not even bothering bringing up this issue with Lomus. I will put their names down as guests, and leave it at that. They will also be there for more then the 3 'required' nights in case Lomus even makes a stink about it. But I am interested to see what will happen if this issue is not even addressed with Lomus. - We shall see But to be honest - I'm not that worried about it. I think you should just find the photographer/videographer you really want, and then deal from there.
  16. Yeah! Congrats Courtney!! that is so exicting - and you will look stunning in that dress!
  17. oohh - I'm super pumped to see which dress you picked! how exiciting! out of curiosity which stores did you go to? I'm guessing the Bridal Centre is where the Maggie dress is, but what is the one that wouldn't tell you who designed the dress?

I understand that it is probably due to customs & borders - but I still think it doesn't quite make logical sense!
  19. I ordered a gigantic box of fans from Oriental Trading, and it came within 2 weeks.
  20. I have to agree with you - I think they are kinda tacky too! For the welcome dinner - I don't think I am going to do an actual private event. but rather just say, meet us for drinks at this bar at this time. So I was thinking of how to differentiate between those who are apart of the wedding and those who aren't. The only thing that I came up with is giving each person a ribbon and they have to tie it on in some fashion. Then people can mingle amongst themselves - knowing who is in the party and who isn't. Of course - if you are having a private event, this suggestion may not help you! But that's all I plan to do I agree that people can mingle and remember names at their own rate!
  21. That is amazing! everyone involved will be talking about this forever! Thanks so much for sharing Matt - I'm glad you made it home safe (even if you are $1400 lighter )
