  1. Courtney! I have been shopping in both Calgary and Edmonton. in Calgary I've been to S2, Cameo & Cufflinks, Beautiful Bride (based on your advice ), Sonia's & Ethos. My girlfriends have also been to the Bridal Centre and that was good as well. I don't recommend Ethos for service - but they do have some nice gowns. My favs in Calgary are S2 and C&C - but that is where I found these 3 gowns! I liked BB - but I didn't find any gowns I loved there! I thought you had found a couple of dresses you loved at BB? what happened to those?

But then I have moments where I really love #3 or #2!! I think what may be holding me back, is that I really wanted to have a nice casual wedding (our colors are blue and orange, the BM dresses are cute sun dresses) and I am worried that #1 doesn't quite fit 'casual'! But I also know you have to have the dress you love and screw everything else I think I will take Ann's advice and go back and try them all on again. I will take my BMs to see what they have to say as well! Thanks everyone for your comments! It truly has helped!
  3. Early Congrats! Best wishes! Enjoy yourself - it will be awesome!
  4. Ohh - good question! I never thought of that. I had planned on just leaving it on the chairs at the ceremony - and therefore everyone would get one. Never thought to think whether the guys would use it or not. Hmm - well I do love the look of having the fans on the seats at the ceremony - so I think I will still do 1 for everyone. Do you have luggage concerns? if you are trying to save on space - this may be a good way to cut down a bit.

  6. Love it! You did an amazing job! Your guests are going to be soo exicited to get it
  7. Good Luck! Best Wishes! I know it will be amazing!
  8. Wow! Thanks for all the replies ladies! Quote: Originally Posted by Raeka Which did you feel most comfortable in? Would you look at fabric weight and material? If I would have to choose, I would say #3 is the heavist (it's reembroderied (sp?) lace). and all 3 are quite comfortable. #3 is the only dress I would make alterations too. I would add a sash right under the bustline, and make the top lower and more of a sweetheart neckline. Thanks for all the comments!

  12. Hey ladies! I need some help! I have been shopping for a wedding dress for a while. I almost got one 2 weeks ago, but there wasn't something quite right about it. So I decided to do a big day of shopping today (visited 4 shops) for one last ditch effort to find my wedding dress....and I found 3 I would like to hear some of your comments about these 3, if you don't mind! 13. Thanks for all your hard work Tammy!! It is very very appreciated! I hope your hand feels better! Now that the forum is back up and running - I must hurry up and stop working! There has been way too much work done in the past 2 days
  14. Looks fantastic Jessalyn! How excited are you to get going? two quick questions! (1) where did you get the starfish that you used for your invitations? they are too cute! (2) I love your veil! What type of veil is it? (ie what type of cut?) and where did you get it?
  15. Okay - I finally got to go through the slideshow. and it was amazing! You were a stunning bride, and I was blown away by all of the tiny details you did. Amazing! How in goodness sake did you get everything down?

I guess. lol. j/k Sabina. If you find one, feel free to post! 18. I've been quoted $2100 for the standard room for 7 nights. coming from Calgary/Edmonton. includes everything (even taxes). But that was is for May It sounds to me like the pricing is about right from what I have been quoted. But don't forget - you are getting a great resort. all other resorts, IMO that were close in quality to it in the area were much more expensive (ie at least $2500_
  19. Congratulations Tammy!! You looked amazing! I am super exicted to see the pictures!
  20. Do you know anyone who is somewhat skilled at sewing? I don't think too much skill is required My mom is making my garter - it sounds pretty easy! you just have to sew 2 pieces of ribbon together (in this case - ribbon/material with skulls) - put elastic inside it, and scrunch it all together, then add whatever embellishment you want on to it.

  22. My 2 cents: Out of these 2 - I really like the kahki better. But I do think that dark colors can look quite nice on the beach. But if it was me, I would go for a black (rather then grey) linen suit. I just don't think grey 'goes' with beach but I think black could - so long as it is the right material (like linen) by the by - where is the kahki suit from? I really like it! I've been starting to look for Reilly - but most of the suits I have found so far, are really narrow at the ankle - which drives me nuts! (but maybe that is just because I have big feet and Reilly has big feet ) This suit looks nice and loose at the ankles!
