  1. OMG I love target! When I moved into my new apartment I went crazy buying everything there. I got my jewelery armoire (sp?) there, my dining room table, my DVD rack holder. I love it there! I even bought fridge magnets there!
  2. OMG I love it! Its so pretty! I would def wear something like this. It looks perfect for a beach wedding and you get to stay cool and not sweat so much in the heat!
  3. OMG Paula I can't believe the day has finally arrived! I am so excited for you. Have so much fun on your flight, at the wedding, and throughout the whole trip! We will be anxiously drooling, awaiting your arrival so we can see pics and see how everything went!

  6. Jaime I am so sorry that you are going through all this. It sounds awful! I am glad you finally got to see a good doctor. I know you don't have money right now but could you speak to your aunt about your trust? Maybe she can help you get health insurance. If you suffer from a lot of ailments then you def should invest in insurance. I'm sending you lots of healthy vibes. Best of luck I hope you pass that stone quickly. Now get to drinking that beer!
  7. I'm somewhat of a germaphobe so this is no shock to me. I pretty much skeeve everything. If you really sat and thought about everything you would vomit but unfortunately we just have to do the best we can.
  8. :r ofl: A true friend is one who will laugh with you, at you, and for you! This is too funny not to laugh at. Don't pretend to be all sad, if my ass was stuck in a dress you would laugh at me too! LOL. Okay now that my laughter is out, I'm glad you were able to get it off w/o damaging it. Now hurry up and post pics!
  9. I get that people are superbusy, I am a lawyer and work crazy hours and never have time to do anything but if my best friend was getting married I would make the time to plan her stagette. I'm sorry that you feel upset but I think you should take Jill's advice and just plan a get together so you won't feel embarrased for planning your own (although I feel there is nothing to be embarrased by). It sounds like it could be tons of fun and this way you get to end up doing whatever you want and don't get stuck doing something sucky. LOL. Good luck with the planning and let us know if you need help with anything.
  10. Happy Birthday Mel! Hope you have lots of BD (minus the baby part, lol)! I hope you have a wonderful, well deserved day!

  12. OMG! When the a-holes came to town I was already here waving the flag, ready to be their leader. Kate I did not for the life of me remember that you got married already. I 100% knew that your wedding was in December but it totally slipped my mind and for some reason I just didn't even realize that your wedding past already! I am a terrible friend, I sincerely apologize. Thank goodness I found this thread! Okay so I'm late but I love you and the pics! The dress is stunning. Is that Alvina Valenta? For some reason I can't remember what kind of dress you had. I absolutely heart it! Your centerpieces look great as did your bridesmaids. The mouse thing, ehhh gross but watayougonnado? I live in NY. You see subway rats and roaches. You get over it and pray they don't end up in your food. LOL. I am so glad that everything went well for you. I can't wait for you to get your slideshow and pics!
  13. Of course you can wear green! Its your wedding you can do whatever you like. I think its cool when people wear different colored dresses. You can make your wedding as traditional or non-traditional as you like. The important thing is that your happy with your decision. I say go for it! Do you have a specific dress in mind?

  15. Okay my co-worker who is Dominican said that you can get married there and get a divorce in Canada and the U.S. You don't need to go to DR to get the divorce. She said people just do that b/c you can get divorced within the same day. They don't make you wait for a long period of time, you just go in and get divorced all within a couple of hours.
  16. I think there is like a checklist of requirements in order to obtain a divorce decree in the state in which you reside. Each state has different marital laws. I do randomly remember that Marc Anthony got married to his ex-wife in DR and he had to go back there to get a divorce. Hmmmm, now I'm not so sure of the answer. LOL. Sorry I'm no help right now.

  18. My sister and I did a marine boot camp one time (I know we are crazy) and they taught us all these stomach exercises to get toned and get a six pack and what not. Throw downs: You lie down on the floor and place your hands over your head and hold on to something stable like a chair (that won't move). Slowly lift your legs off the ground (keep your legs straight) until they are perpendicular. Then throw your legs down toward the ground (but don't let your legs touch the ground). Try to get your legs as close to the ground as possible without touching. The trick to this is to throw your legs down hard and fast but then not let your legs touch the ground. Trust me it hurts like hell. To work your obliques (the side muscles) throw your legs to the right and then to the left. It really works your abs out like crazy. I hope this made sense.
  19. I do not heart her! And now I dislike her even more! Shame on her. Uggh!
  20. That is hysterical! I think I peed my pants!
  21. Umm yeah, I'm so bad that I watch cleaning shows. Like literal shows on how to clean properly. Everyone tells me to get a cleaning lady for the deep clean, but why can't I deep clean myself? So not to brag but my mom is an amazing cleaner. AMAZING! So she came over yesterday and I was whining about the stove. She was like "Hello, white vinegar. Have I taught you nothing?" So she took the sponge, wet it, put some dishwashing soap on it, and then poured some white distilled vinegar on it and voila, the grease just came right off! I almost passed out from glee! She told me anything that white vinegar is great for things that have grease on them. I felt like a little girl in awe of my mommy. ~Jamy I heart doing laundry! Absolutely heart it!
  22. Shelley I ditto everything Sarah said. I think the BM's dresses and the MOH dress look good in different colors but I think the palm tree shirt is too busy for the guys.
  23. I have the Canon SD800. It is super lightweight and takes pics fast. I absolutely love it.
  24. I visited Honduras when I was a teenager. I went to Tegucigalpa (sp?) for a wedding. I went with friends of mine who have family there. I don't know anything about Roatan but I had a good time when I was there. I didn't really do sightseeing, I only hung out with my friends' families. I could be wrong about this but I think in 2007 Honduras was voted the poorest country in the world. (I think Haiti is usually number one). Its very poor and things there are dirt cheap. I remember seeing children begging for coins and it just broke my heart. One time I bought all these neighborhood kids ice cream (there was like 48 of them) and it literally cost me like $5 (american dollars) It was really sad to see children suffering like this. The country is very warm and I think it has beautiful mountains. I'm not familiar with Roatan so I am no help there but I think you will enjoy it. Its not your typical tropical paradise vacation but its very relaxing and I swear you feel at peace there. I think you and your sister will have so much fun!
  25. Happy Birthday Jackie! Hope you have a great, fabulous, amazing birthday, filled with lots of yummy things to eat!
