My cousin and his girlfriend wen to the RIU Palace in Cancun. I know your not referring to this one but she told me that it was awesome. She saw tons of weddings and took pics to show me. She said the symbolic ceremonies were each different. I know the WC's at the RIU take forever to get back to you but they are usually ok. I haven't heard of anyone not loving their wedding at any RIU. I'm sure once your wedding gets closer you can tell the WC what kinds of things you would like to incorporate such as the hand ceremony or the sand ceremony. This should not be a problem. Ultimately they should want to make you happy. Do not feel like a terrible bride, it is hard to plan a DW and that is why this forum is so great, there is a wealth of information to help you. Don't stress your wedding will be beautiful!

Thank you so much for all the tips! I am such a clean freak. You know how some people enjoy scrapbooking or knitting? Well I like cleaning. I know that is sick in the head but I do. I feel a sense of pride when I can get tough stains out and people are like "Wow how did you do that?" But I've never had carpet before (that is what we have in the bedroom) and I think that is what is contributing to the dust. The dark wood is also not making it easier. The funny thing is I got the Ionic Breeze (it is 1 week old) in the hopes that it would suck up the dust but I go check it and there is not a piece of lint on there. I told my FI "This thing doesn't work, it has to be broken" and he was like "Yeah, your a freak, its called you clean obsessively so there is nothing for the Ionic Breeze to pick up." LOL Okay I admit it I'm a loser but I like cleanliness.

Ok ladies ever since I have moved into a new apartment I have been cleaning like a mad woman. It seems like no matter what I do, I can't keep the apt. clean (read: I clean, FI makes it dirty again). My biggest problem is that our bedroom furniture is this slick wood and it gets dusty in literally minutes. I use Pledge on the wood but literally an hour later I can see a thin layer of dust! It drives me insane! A friend of mine told me to use Pledge and then use a dryer sheet and it usually soaks up dust. Yeah that hasn't worked too well for me. I also recently purchase the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze in the hopes that it would suck up some of the dust. Does anyone have any good tips on how to counteract dust? Also, what do you guys use to clean the stovetop? FI loves cooking and he makes a disastrous mess. It seems no matter how much I scrub I can't get some of the stuff off the stove tops. Please help!

I'm really sorry that happened to you. The way you have to look at it is this: If you love it so much, there are probably a ton of other people that want it also. So if you see something you love, be prepared to make a move within the next few days. Get pre-approved so that it will make things quicker for you. Also, after you view a home you like, go home and discuss it with FI the plan out your finances and go see it for a second time within the next day or two. Then make your offer ASAP. But like everyone else said it is a buyers market so there is a lot of inventory out there. Good luck!

Is it possible that it was the only room they had available at the time and that is why they said it was the "best" room? It really sucks that you didn't get the room you wanted. But it sounds like you still had a great honeymoon, which is always a plus!

I saw this on Perez Hilton this morning. Who does that? It never ceases to amaze me how there are people like me who hate to be the center of attention and break out in hives at the thought of having people stare at you, and then there are those that want a cake made in their likeness. Wow! My FI would throw up on me and tell me to get over myself if I said I wanted this cake. LOL.

This ALWAYS happens to me. That is why I can rarely get on anymore. So frustrating!

Can you keep it in a safe at the bank? If your really worried about losing or misplacing it then this is what I would do. But I don't think I would trust my best man with it. And I def wouldn't give it to the hobbit. What if the hobbit slaps his ho with it? Now you got hobbit ho skankiness all over your ring. I don't know if you want to go to one specific spot or if you are willing to go to different places. Do you want to be outside or inside? It's getting kind of cold as I'm sure you can already feel. When do you plan on taking them? If you wait till it gets closer to the holidays you can take pretty ones in Rockefeller Center. That would be sooo nice (although it could look more x-massy than engagement like). You can take pics on the ferris wheel inside Toys R' Us in Times Square. You could do central park which has so many different areas, they are just beautiful. If you have a friend who has a high rise apartment you can get great pics of the two of you with the skyline in the back. I'll try to think of some others...

Catherine can you invite his family, your family and your closest friends? If you are not that close to your family they probably won't come anyway but there is no harm in inviting them. This way it is up to them to decide if they want to come or not.
