For cakes, I think the 3 choices are on the survey, I don't know if they have more options. I was thinking of getting the tres leches cake since everyone said its so good, but steve said no way, we're not having anything made with milk in mexico, not a good idea. Which I'm sure is not a big deal, but he's adamant no milk in mexico, lol, so I guess we'll got with vanilla, for some reason though I thought the other choice was chocolate not vanilla, I hope its chocolate, I love chocolate, lol. Okay enough rambling.

Sarah, 7 miles is great! I wish I could get myself to stay on the treadmill that long! I did turbojam this morning, but kind of half a**, only because I woke up feeling sick and was having a hard enough time breathing, I didn't want to make it worse. I'm feeling a little better now, so I'll probably try to do the treadmill tonight, just in case I feel even sicker tomorrow and can't do anything.

Can I wear this dress???
*JillD* replied to RaydensMama's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I love the dress, very pretty, and I agree you should wear whatever you want. I started out thinking I was going to get a really simple flowy dress, but ended up with a traditional dress, and I love it, its beautiful and how often do you get to wear a wedding dress, you should wear whatever you feel beautiful in, I'm probably going to sweat my butt off, but I don't care! -
Please help me pick my shoes!
*JillD* replied to Sarah's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I love #3 and I voted for them, but after hearing jess say they weren't comfortable, I would choose #2. I love #2 and would love to get them if they weren't so expensive. -

It was beautiful, but a little windy (not too bad though). It overlooks a cliffy ocean area and the gazebo area. I initially thought we'd do the reception there, until my parents went in Feb. and discovered the terrace option. The terrace is connected to the Club tower lobby which is far from the main lobby and away from traffic flow. No one really has anyway reason to walk through unless they are blantantly gawking. It is also a beautiful area, and looks straight out over a small pool to the wedding gazebo and ocean. The wedding we saw hosted their cocktail party on the terrace. The Club Tower lobby opens up completely to the terrace to make one large area that will accomodate our 60-75 guests. Even the lobby area has a very outdoor feel(it's sorta like a covered patio...no doors), but is more protected from the wind and elements. I thought it might be a little bit more comfortable to eat there then in the garden area. There are some comfy lounge chairs on the terrace and big umbrellas to shade the sun. Another bonus, is that there is a bar right there, so you can take full advantage of the AI. Also, bathrooms for guests are also right there..and with a bunch of boozer friends and family, I know they are going to need to make several pit stops Ladies in heels will also have an easier time walking around. I hope that helps. Like I said, both areas are very nice, and I'm sure I'd be happy with either, but I'm pretty sure we are going to go with the terrace! Thanks Susan! I was leaning towards the terrace and then I saw christa's pics in cabo, her reception was in an area similar to dreams garden area, and I really liked how she had the tables set up in a big square, so everyone could see each other. I originally was going to do one long table because we will probably have about 20 guests, but I'd really like to arrange the tables so everyone can see each other better. It looked really pretty in the garden area, but I do agree that there will probably be a lot of wind and the heels in the grass is another great point. Thanks for the input, why can't I make any decisions! I do love the terrace too and you can see the ocean from there so it still feels like you are outside, you just have a little bit of shelter. I think I'm changing my mind again, back to the terrace!

I did find out, there is no restriction on music time for indoor/ballroom receptions!!! Yeah hooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! if we were having more people I would be more concerned about the time. I'm hoping there won't be any elements to worry about, lol!

I know, I know, lol, great job btw on your workout!

susan, can I ask why you decided on the terrace? I only ask because I know you were considering the garden area too, as I am, and I can't decide, so I didn't know if you had any specific reasons for choosing the terrace, I know you've been there before, so I thought you might have more insight than I do!

Susan, I think bright pink/fuschia flowers will look fabulous with those dresses! I wanted to get that color for our daughter to wear, but we ended finding a cute dress for her, at a good price in a light pink, so she'll still carry bright pink flowers. I'm just going to wait until we get there to choose the flowers. I saw some bouquets that I liked in the file claudia sent, so I'm sure I can pick something I'll be happy with when I get there. I'm probably going to do roses. Did you see any bouquets in the file that you liked? If you didn't then I would say start finding pics of what you like and email to claudia so she can get you a quote. But if you saw some that you liked then just wait until you get there, one less thing to worry about.

Now...what do I get FMIL??
*JillD* replied to -Kate-'s topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I like the idea of getting the moms something different than the bm, that way both sets of people will feel special for different reasons. -
I know exactly how you feel. Steve eats anything he wants and doesn't really gain weight, he's got a little gut right now, but nothing major. Not enough to stop him from eating steak and cheese grinders and pizza, you get the picture. the one thing that is good is that he doesn't really like sweets, its very rare that he'll eat cookies or chocolate, but I just get these immense cravings for sweet stuff, that sometimes I can't stop myself. Steve asked me if I was pregnant today because I said I really needed some chocolate!

Help me pick a BM gift
*JillD* replied to -Kate-'s topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I agree with Tammy, I would be so excited to get a tiffanys box for a BM gift and if they're within your budget, thats what I'd pick, they're perfect, I want to get one now!
