Your wedding is coming up quick! Tammy, is the zip line in cancun?
  2. I had a strapless bridesmaid dress and it had a gap and it SUCKED! I hated it, it looked ridiculous, I wanted to go back to the seamstress and tell her she made it too big, but it was my own fault for not trying in on when I picked it up after alterations. My dress has a corset back and I plan on telling whoever is lacing it to pull it tight, not so tight that I have back fat, but tight enough that the top is against my chest and not hanging out.
  3. I was thinking of doing those other things they have, the flower things that hang from the back of the chairs (I know, great decscription, huh) Hopefully you know what I'm talking about. I want those for my chairs, I think they cost 650 each, but I won't need too many
  4. alright, this thread just made me want to starve myself until my wedding. My FI is like all the rest, he could care less about lingerie and I never even bother with it. Anyway, I would like to wear something sexy for him on our wedding night or a couple honeymoon nights, just because I never do and I think he would enjoy the effort that I put into it, even though it will just be more work for him, lol! but seriously, I can't eat from now until october
  5. yes, cheesecake is the other option, I like cheesecake and all, but it seems strange for a wedding cake. I really wish they had a chocolate option, I'm going to have to ask, what is this vanilla crap, lol!

I probably wouldn't be able to monogram them if they're mesh. But! I just had a thought that it would be super-cute to attach the luggage tags I'm making for everyone to them and just mail the OOT bags ahead of time (probably only mailing to about 10 or 15 separate addresses). Has anyone done this, or is it gauche? It also frees up luggage room! cute bag finds laura! I've been looking on ebay too, I found these really cute handmade straw bags, that are big, and I really want to get them, but there kind of expensive. Luckily I'm not having many people so I might be able to do it. We'll see. I don't think I'd send them the bags ahead of time, only because it will be a nice surprise when they get there, and I'm assuming you're putting stuff in it that they will use when they are there and they may not even bring it with them.
  7. well thats good, maybe when it gets closer I'll check with dreams. The fake ones I got are a pretty color, I don't really care that much if there fake as long as dreams doesn't either!
  8. so anyway, the ones dreams sent me consisted of one with ivy wrapped around the pillars and some organza stuff. Another one had just the organza pulled together towards the middle on each pillar and the other one had a kissing ball hanging in the middle, I can't remember if there was anything else.
  9. these are from the gazebo at dreams cancun let me try this again
  10. I don't think it would be bad to wear the dress just because you bought it for a different wedding, if you wore it that would be one thing, but if you don't like the dress anymore, then its "the" dress for you and you should try to find something else. You should post it on ebay, thats actually where I found mine and its beautiful!
  11. Did you ever get the VIP bouquet pics? I think its in this thread, let me check yep, its in this thread, post #12, the centerpiece options are there as well. I don't know how to move them over here or I would, but you should be able to find them pretty easy. Yes, we've all discovered in our discussions that we all get different things from claudia and I think when each of us gets married we should suggest that she just make one big file with all of the different options and when someone is considering dreams she should just send them the whole file, then there won't be so many discrepancies. I know, its so frustrating. Thank god we're not having a huge wedding because I think I would have flipped out on her by now!
  12. Laura, I'm sorry you have to deal with this. We have the same problem with a lot of our guests not wanting to spend the money, but this is what we want to do, its our wedding, and if its just the two of us, we don't care, we'll have a great time. $2000 pp does seem kind of high. We had originally looked into a lot of the caribbean islands, antigua, st. lucia, etc. and they were all going to be too much for guests. So we chose dreams cancun and part of the reason we chose it was the price was more reasonable, I want to say about 1200 pp, for 5 nights. I mean your flight may be slightly more because of where you're coming from, but 1200 is a lot less than 2000. When were you trying to plan for?

Jess, I like this idea. We have a 1 bdrm. suite as well and we're only having about 20 ppl total, so this might work for us. glad you mentioned it!
  14. I think its cute, I would probably pee myself if I read that when I opened the invitation, I think its funny!
  15. I've been feeling pretty crappy the last few days, so I haven't done much, I've managed to eat like a pig though, lol, why can't I get the throwing up bug so I could lose a few pounds.

I think I am going to request vanilla cake, two layers and call it a day. yeah, I'm kind of picturing it tasting like soggy bread, which is not really a favorite of mine, lol! But a lot of girls have said its really good, but we'll be going with the vanilla cake. I really could care less about the cake!

Ann I was thinking the same thing, I didnt' know if they'd even let me use them, If I have something thrown maybe I'll get the ecofetti or I can have the wc get me some rose petals. I can always use the fake ones for something else.
  18. you're probably right about the milk, its ridiculous I know, but if I tell him we're getting a 3 milk cake he won't touch it, lol! so silly.
  19. we also hired citlalli from claudia rodriguez's studio, she's located in cancun, I think. reasonable prices. the others people have mentioned, sol & elizabeth are also located in this area
  20. okay, I say yes for chairs, people will want to sit I hadn't thought about how pictures will look when throwing something, but I'm glad Leigh mentioned that. Now I have a question. I picked up these fake rose petals, they're actually the shape of hearts and they are a bright pink color which is the color I'm using, you can't really tell they're the shape of hearts, but whatever, I bought them after valentines day, so they were like 50 cents a pack, so I didn't spend anything on them, but my question is, is it cheesy to have fake rose petals for them to throw. I had thought about using them on the tables originally but don't think I'll need them. what do you girls think? sorry to hijack!
  21. I have a friend that makes this too, it looks gross, but is yummy!
