  1. laura I can't wait to see it! I'm very frugal with all of this wedding stuff too, so I know exactly what you mean, I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a dress I'd wear for a few hours, no matter how much I loved it! And I too wish I had a better body so I could wear a simple more form fitting dress, but I guess we have to take what we've got, haha! can't wait to see it on you!
  2. I bought mine from ebay, but it was from a bridal shop that was selling a sample that was no longer going to be sold in the US, so I got a great deal on it. A couple of girls have ordered from a dressmaker on ebay, I'm sure they'll chime in with they're experiences.
  3. I think what susan was asking is if these pics are just BM bouquets and yes they are. The other file from claudia with bouquets are the bridal bouquets. or maybe you were asking if the bouquets in the ppt file could be used for bm's, I don't think so, its probably more money. But its a good question for claudia.
  4. christine a lot of the songs you have listed I have written down as options as well, its funny! But I know FI wants to kind of keep things light and not super formal, and he wants the songs to kind of represent who we are, so I'm going to have to go through them with him again so we can decide! Melissa, I love enya too and was considering a couple of their songs, don't remember the names, some of them sound so sad though, I have a lot of work to do!
  5. I love the somewhere over the rainbow song! I also love canon in D, I'm having such a hard time deciding, but I love how the somewhere over the rainbow has the beachy sound to it!
  6. I just got the bridesmaid bouqet pics too a little while ago! I was trying to figure out how to post them in one file and not all seperate, like they came in the email. I'm thinking that I am going to buy an IPOD and a docking station and use it for the reception and hopefully the ceremony too. I think this is really the best option for us.
  7. Mishi your pictures are beautiful can't wait to see more, enjoy the rest of your honeymoon!

Seriously, for a smallish wedding, this is the way to go. Don't pay the resort their stupid fee's for hooking up to their sound system - it's a total waste of money. Now, if you have a LARGE group, then maybe a big sound system is worthwhile. The Bose will be the most expensive option. Altec Lansing has several models that are all very good & vary in size. We have this one: ooh, thanks christa! Its nice to hear from someone who has actually bought one that they liked it. Can you hook up a microphone to it? We figured we need some type of stereo or something at home so if we bought this we'd have it for the wedding and then have it to use at home as well. the cost to rent the speakers is ridiculous. I think dreams is 130, but still, its not like they're giving you a person to run them. And if there is no other wedding then they wouldn't be using them anyway!

He is the most adorable caring man I know and he still can't be bother with wedding details. He only cares that is on a beach (it doesn't matter where). So make sure you make good use of his input, it is one of the most wonderful things you could have while preparing your special day. My FI said the same thing, "we have 10 months, you're trying to plan everything in a week" umm, we now have less than 6 months and I still don't have everything finalized and probably won't until the very last minute! I love him, but he has no clue! Quote: Originally Posted by Just Martha This morning as we were both leaving to work he says "Can you check Banana Republic and J Crew to get ideas of a suit for me. I say "Hey, how about I print them, cut them out, then glue all of them on one cardstock." He says, "Excellent idea, why didn't I think of that?!" ha! Thats great that he wants to be so involved, god I wish I could get mine to do something! We got into a discussion about something wedding related last night and he said again as he always says, all he cares about is me showing up for the wedding and seeing me walk down the aisle in my dress, the rest doesn't matter. And in actuality, he is right in a sense that the marriage is the most important part, not all of the minor details. but I like the details, haha
  10. Welcome Taryn! Can't wait to hear about all of the details of your wedding!

  12. but didn't someone say there is a bar right near the terrace anyway, so you wouldn't really even need your own? this is just a guess, I really have no idea!
  13. I heard the Bose docking station is really, really good, thats actually the one I really want! but someone looked into it and said you can't hook a microphone up to it, so if you need a microphone that probably wouldn't be a good option, I heard the sound on it is phenomenal. we are having a very small wedding as well and I've thought about going this route as well.
  14. They came out great! I really love the metallic paper that a lot of girls have used, it looks so nice!
