wedding dress dilemna!

I don't even know why I started thinking about the other dress again, but when I saw that perfect picture of it I almost cried because I just felt like such a princess in it, it made my waist so tiny, it pushed up my small boobs, and it was so lightweight and different than any other dress. Its such a difficult decision! Quote: Originally Posted by gkashmira I went through a similar dilemna and in the end bought my dream dress (with a nightmare price-tag). However I actually already have a buyer lined up (through Craigslist) who is going to buy the dress from me for 2/3 the original price. After my ordeal I have a few notes pre-wedding (so my opinions may change day-of): - If I could do it all over again I don't think I would have bought it. (Part of the reason though is I am concerned that the dress may not be super flaterring) - I am finding it very difficult to sell the dress and keep secretly hoping the other brides backs out! - I also actually bought a different dress at first and cried that night - freaked out and called the salon at 1am saying I wanted to return it for the one I really wanted. - Maybe it's just overall wedding jitters for me though - maybe my dress will look awesome and I'll be the happiest girl in the world. So in other words, I am absolutely no help. So I my advice it go with your gut. Both options will work and no matter what you will love whatever dress you end up wearing. Pick one and then just go with it - either way! (Again, sorry about being no help) Kash, everytime I think about this situation, I think of you and scarlet! And I don't know if I'm going to want to sell it after the wedding either! At first FI said, well you're going to use it to make other things after the wedding right? you know how some people make christening gowns, quilts, etc... out of pieces of their wedding gown and then he said well you could sell it too, if you're worried about spending that much money. So I know if I didn't sell it he'd be okay with it, but I don't know if I would. It seems ridiculous to me to spend so much on a dress to wear for a few hours, but I just love it! (I also love the dress I already have, I don't want to turn into a 2 dress bride!) And by the way Kash, you're going to look absolutely stunning in scarlet on your wedding day! -
wedding dress dilemna!
*JillD* replied to *JillD*'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Okay ladies, I'll try to answer everyones questions. Yes, I have tried it on, twice, and loved it!! The material is so light, it would be perfect for mexico. When I tried it on the second time my mother was with me and she thought it was too fancy for mexico, I thought it was no fancier than any of the others I tried on, and then when she heard the price she almost had a heartattack, so that made me kind of stop thinking I was going to get the dress. The dress in the store is a cognac color and I want white, I wish they could show me a pic of it in white! As far as alterations, it is a corset back, so that part would be okay and MS makes petites, so I think I may only need a bustle. I like the seamstress idea too! I really have to move on this if I am going to order it because I only have 5 months and I don't even know if that will be enough time! I did find someone selling it online for 1200, worn once. Oh, btw, heres my dress that I have now: -
wedding dress dilemna!

So as some of you may remember I fell in love with a maggie sottero limited dress that I had no picture to show you because there are no pictures. Well the other day I started thinking about the dress again, I don't know why, and I didn't buy it because it was $1500 and I didn't think I should spend that on my dress. So today I was determined to find the name of the dress and I did it! And I still love it, the pictures make me want to cry! The thing is 1. I already have a dress, that I really like a lot and I could be perfectly happy with, but its not this dress, I also got a sweet deal on my dress, so I could just put it on ebay or something too. 2. I don't know if I can spend this much on my dress! FI happened to ask me what I was doing whem I was looking at it and we had a whole conversation about it and he says I should just get it and he would have expected me to spend that much and why can't I just sell it after the wedding. What do I do Here's a pic of the dress I love! -

One of my email addresses I used didn't give me an error message, but I have a feeling it didn't go through, just because I tried several times over the course of 3 or 4 days, and I was still getting the message, and I've never gotten it before. I'm sure you'll get answers much faster:) Yes, I am using Donna and I forwarded my email to her yesterday and she sent it on to claudia, I haven't heard if she had any problems with it going through yet. Now I want one! I was thinking of designing my own when I got home, like Sarah did. Now I'm not sure!

dowloading fonts
*JillD* replied to *JillD*'s topic in Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions.
Thanks Girls, I'll try that! Paula, I am printing clear labels for our invites (because I don't have very good handwriting) and I was going to use it for that, but FI doesn't like it, so I might use it for one of my DIY projects. -
could someone tell me how to download a font I feel like an idiot, but I went to dafonts.com and I want scriptina, and it pops up in the winzip window, but then what do I do so I can use it??

I know a lot of us have mentioned the email response being slow lately, have any of you gotten error messages? The reason I ask is because I tried sending a message to claudia 3 times from work the other day and got mailer-daemon messages back saying there was a problem with the email address. So I thought maybe I just couldn't send it from work. So I have two other email accounts I tried sending from one yesterday and one today. One of them I got an error message. The other one I didn't get an error message, but no response either, so I'm thinking it may still have not gone through, maybe that email account just doesn't let me know when there is an error. I am using [email protected] which is listed on their website. Does anyone have a different email address? Has anyone else had this problem?

I did 45 minutes of turbo sculpt this morning, my entire body hurts, this is day 4 in a row, I'm so proud of myself for getting up every morning! As I was rolling over in bed last night, my muscles were in so much pain! Good pain, but pain nevertheless! And I know this probably sounds really silly because its only been 4 days, but I put one of my work shirts on this morning and I swear it fit better! I know sounds stupid, but I'll take it!

Congratulations Anny! You look beautiful, I love your dress, I can't wait to see your other dress too! -
I got up this morning and did turbo jam cardio party! 3 days in a row of getting up and working out, my whole body hurts! I just keep reminding myself that summer is coming and I want to buy new clothes and I only have 5 months to my wedding, yikes!

well, I was going to order them from oriental trading, because I'm too lazy to make my own, haha, so I would think they would be flame retardant, since they know thats whay they'll be used for, maybe I should check, but I don't think it says. I think I'm just going to go with regular tealights. Maybe sarah can tell us how hers worked out when she gets back.
-
really?? so I'm assuming by "set it up right" I should make sure the bag is pulled fully out?

for those of you doing the lumiaria bags, are you at all worried about them catching on fire? I found some battery operated tealights and thought about buying those for the bags but they are expensive, so I'd rather not, but I wanted to see if anyone had done them yet and if I should worry.

Jules get your butt in gear, 5 months to go! J/K, take it easy while you're sick, but then get moving again!

Anyone have good recipes that are man friendly? He wont eat chicken or pork so my options are really limited. Ohhhh, you're in the same boat as me! Almost. My FI loves beef, he'll eat chicken & pork, but would rather have steak most of the time. although I have to say, last night I said I was going to stop at the grocery store to pick up something for dinner and at first he's like get a rotisserie chicken and some of those sides that they sell. Well I'm sure all of you know that those "sides" are loaded with fat & calories as is the rotisserie chicken, so I kind of snottily said, well thats fine for you and hailey but I can't eat it. so he told me to pick up some fish instead and he would cook it for me. I felt kind of bad for being mean.
