  1. I had Roberto as well and he was great. It is worth the money in my opinion because he can have you pose quickly and also works with light. He was fun for sure! We did the video package as well, should have that in about a week. It was like the paparattzi as I was coming down the aisle! The pics we received were all fantastic! We ended up buying the cd from him so we could have all the pics. And I had no idea that the table runners would be pink! I was supposed to go over colours with Nicole the day of the wedding but found it more important to hang at the suite. I loved the bright colours that were used..

  3. I just can't stress enough how much they take care of you! Instead of worrying about table runners and how things were being set up I went swimming.. toured around Las Caletas, had lunch, and spent a good hour and a half in the jacuzzi! Nicole had to come to the bridal suite and ask when I was going to start getting ready... she looked quite concerned that I hadn't even showered an hour before the wedding!! Don't worry about shoes.. the setup.. the dinner... the music.. any of it. Also, at night check out the water.. there is sea plankton (sp?) that rolls up on the beach, a bright florescent blue (did anyone else see it??) It is beautiful!! Just take time to notice all the effort that goes into putting the wedding together. The candles are the most incredible thing I have ever seen. The entire night was seamless! I never had to ask for anything or demand anything. I have tried to post pics but the best I can do is provide a link to Kodak. Please let me know if it works!! Kodakgallery.com*Album Not Found
  4. know I haven't posted much on this forum but if it wasn't for this forum I would never have gotten married at Las Caletas. Our wedding was on Nov.7th (two days after Brooke and Gen) I know they will probably post a much better review than me. All I want to say to anyone who is getting married at LC - don't stress about all the small details! It is such a beautiful place and it goes by sooo fast. I didn't worry about anything. I didn't pick out any decorations (Nicole did a great job with the tables etc) I had a DJ (He was fantastic!) I didn't pick out any music, except for the song I walked down the aisle to. They are so good at what they do that you don't need to worry about a thing. Nicole even had fans on the chairs for people (I didn't even think about that) It was a really hot day! It took me 20 minutes to get ready and I believe that simple is better. I found that because it was so hot that excessive hair and makeup just wasn't worth it and I am so happy I didn't have alot of material on my dress. Dinner was fantastic, we also had a cake but it wasn't necessary as everyone had desert and there was so much cake left over. The flowers were beautiful but people only noticed the location and at night (which comes fast!) the only thing people see are the candles (hundreds of them). It is absolute paradise! We paid for an extra hour - which is so worth it, I would highly recommend this! We also had the firedancers which were so appreciated by all our guests. They all said it was the best wedding they have been to - and this was with a lack of any preparation by me. I did nothing! I had eight people go over with me for the day and we used the spa (awesome massages) and the jacuzzi filled with cool water works great - especially when you have a glass of champagne in your hand! My wedding day was the least stressful day I have had in my life. It was so incredible - you don't really know until you get there what a truly magical place it is. It was also great to have some insight before I got there (because of this forum) I knew what to expect and I just enjoyed every minute of it. Nicole and Kelley are both fantastic at what they do, I can't believe some of the things they have to put up with, but they do it to ensure that the brides have the best day of their lives. I would do it again in a hearbeat, and I wouldn't change a thing. I just wanted to post my experience for everyone as you have all added to the fact that I had the best day of my life (so far!) at Las Caletas. Thank you ! If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask me as my wedding package may have been different than someone elses. You have so many choices !! I am going to try to attach a couple pics for you. I can't seem to figure out how to resize pics!! We used the wedding photographer that came with Vallarta Adventures, he was great and I have no complaints about him. I envy all the brides that have their weddings coming up at LC. I wish I could do it again every year!! All the best to all of you. Rita
  5. Today I realized that there is only about 8 weeks until our Las Caletas wedding!! I have a couple questions - I am thinking about not having the Trio, do you think they are worth it? Ann, I watched your video... teared up... can't imagine what I will be like at my own wedding! Loved the minister and will have the same one - did you send him what you wanted as far as the ceremony goes or did he just have his own material? Also, I noticed you signing a certificate, was that your own or did Nicole have one done up for the ceremony? I haven't done much in the way of decorations as I figure the ocean will suffice as a backdrop! I haven't really done much in the way of planning, after reading all the posts here on the forum I have all the faith in the world in Nicole. Am I the next one to be married at Las Caletas? Or is there someone before me? I am soooo excited!!
  6. It was Lindsay (Feb14bride) that had the green arch - wondering what that is called... love it, adds some colour. If anyone knows please tell me! And also wondering if it costs extra as the bamboo chuppa does.
  7. I got an email from Nicole today so I am getting even more excited. I am just copying Ann's wedding! A couple questions for you Ann: Did you walk down to the Trio? Also, the bamboo chuppa thing, what did you chose? I think I saw someone that had the big giant green palm leaves instead but can't remember who it was. Is it better to have the covered table? I am having the DJ as well.... other than that I think all details are covered. Just need to figure out if we want to go through the whole civil ceremony while we are there. I am going to go back and look at pictures! I am sure I can find a couple more questions to ask!
  8. If you are giving one bag per couple are you putting more stuff in for them? Two of some things for each? I am having trouble finding things for guys but I figure as long as I have some snacks for them they will be happy. Do they even care about the OOT bags anyways? My mom seems to think they don't!
  9. I work from home running a business and I am on the phone tons, so I play games! Alot of dedication and hard work! Actually I have no idea, tetris was a total fluke as was snake. It wasn't always my goal to be king of the arcade! LOL [On a side note: My FI wants to know how you get SO many points on the different arcade games....I keep trying to beat your Snake and Tetris scores and he just laughs because he says it will never happen!
  10. I have thirty people coming to my wedding. Do you give bags to each person or one per couple? I have some singles as well as quite a few couples. I am just wondering if anyone gave gender specific bags or did one for both. Thanks! Rita
  11. Hi Courtney, I found some travel kits at Walmart on the weekend. They are $5 each and have 11 items in them including little shaving cream, shampoo, deodorant, and a ton of other items. I bought six and I am going to split them up. I also found chapstick (3 for $3) I have other little bags that I am going to make a travel kit and put in a bunch of different items. The bags are a great deal though. Also there are travel candles (really cute beach ones) at Michaels for $1.29. Being in Calgary I thought I would let you know some good deals! What I have so far: Travel candle Organza bag with homemade seashell soaps (so easy to do) CD Travel kits flip flop key chain for the girls seashell bottle opener for the boys I also had m&ms personalized with our names on them, but they may end up being the favour. I can't stop shopping for these bags though! I only have four months to go, with all the time you have they will be packed full!! Let me know if you find any good deals. Rita
  12. Congrats Ann! I am so sorry you were sick for your wedding day. Your review was fantastic. Only four more months until my big day at Las Caletas! I have a ton of questions for you but will wait until you return and are rested! Thanks again for taking the time to do this for the rest of us that are anxiously awaiting our turn!
  13. I agree, I think I just got wound up because no one else is bringing a date. And the fact that she goes through guys so fast! I am going to have a complete stranger in my wedding pics! FI has another sister that is coming solo and his brother is as well. She will be the only one that is bringing someone. You guys are right though, I shouldn't make such a big deal out of it. Thank you! I love this forum, it has helped me so much!
  14. Thank you! I am starting to feel better already. I thought I was overreacting a bit. Must be the pre - five month wedding jitters!! I appreciate the feedback!
  15. My FI sister just started dating someone and she wants to bring him to the wedding. We are getting married in Mexico and have 25 people coming, each and everyone I know very well and I don't think it is appropriate for her to bring someone we have never met. They have only been dating for about three months (will be seven by the wedding but who knows) She feels that it is customary to bring a date to the wedding but does this count if you are having a destination wedding?? I don't want him to come and she is mad as hell. What do I do? She is now saying that she is not coming if her BF can't come. I am so angry and feel that she is being really selfish. She is going to be my sister in law... should I just let her bring some strange guy to MY wedding because she is my FI's sister? I am so stuck on this.
