  1. I do as well! I actually just stopped with avon though because it was costing me way more money than it was worth. Mark is pretty much free after the sign up though and you get a free webstore for people to order from so it's alot easier to promote whether you have a ton of sales or none. Plus, if people order from your site.. you get the commission and don't do a thing if they chose to have it shipped to them! Avon however charges I think 7.95 or so a month for the website... but if you have 1 or more online sale then it is waived. My problem was inconsistency.. between order brochures and the website fee if no one ordered that campaign.. I was throwing money away. So i'm sticking to just mark now. It really depends on who you know and are exposed to and how much time you want to put into to determine how well you will do. If you have any specific questions just PM me and I'd be happy to try to help.
  2. Looks like you girls had fun!! I'm in NJ but work in NYC so I'll look out for the next happy hour!

    hello!

    Congratulations and Welcome!!
  4. WOW Tammy that is an awesome gift!! I love the idea and the artist did a great job!!
  5. I love reading too! Mostly the girly, light, sort of beach reads... Right now I'm reading "Running in Heels" by Anna Maxted and "Remember Me?" by Sophie Kinsella. They're both cute so far but I seem to be partial to Sohpie Kinsella overall as I loved all of the Shopaholic series. I just finished another one called "Everything she Thought she Wanted" by Elizabeth Buchan I picked it randomly from the bargain bin at Barnes and Noble and ended up really liking it. ooh and I read a few of the Emily Griffin books too... i really liked them as well! I have tons of books at home I'll try to put a list of my favorties together if you like the same type of books! I'd even be happy to share as all the old ones do is sit around anyway.
  6. I used to love love love coffee and drink about 3-4 cups a day at all times during the day. I drank it with skim milk, no sugar.. and also liked my occasional vanilla lattes and cappacinos. Two months ago I was really sick-- ended up being a stomach parasite eek!-- but in the process of not keeping anything food or drink in my body, coffee was the first to go. I had the WORST headaches the first few days but I was too sick to care! After they finally figured out what was wrong with me and I was all better.. I never got my taste for coffee back! It's the weirdest thing since I used to be a feign for it! I've tried it a few times.. and its just not the same! I'm now drinking plain black tea about twice a day.. and once in a while green tea, plain.
  7. It's disgusting how many foods are out there for our pets that are just filled with preservatives, fillers, and overall ickiness. I did alot of research on this when I first got my Maltese, miss daisy.. and I never had a clue how many of the bigger well known brands were just CRAP. In the end.. I chose Merrick for Daisy and she has done well with it. The only thing I don't like is that it can be hard to find as it's not sold at any of the chain pet stores. Another one I do really like though is Natural Balance (Daisy eats the small bites particularly) and that is sold at Petco. Not sure if either of these brands make cat foods but for doggies I've had good experiences.
  8. I definitely agree with all of the others.. a cheat day is not only good but neccessary! They say the more you deprive yourself, the more you want whatever it is you are craving.. and then it makes dieting that much harder. Just dont over-do it on your cheat days and eat like enough calories for the whole week LOL Kathy is right too.. sometimes when your body gets used to eating better you will realize how crappy that yummy food makes you feel afterwards! Unfortunately.. it still tastes so good that usually I'm willing to deal! lol
  9. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! I love Punta Cana. I have stayed at Dreams and Grand Palladium so if you have any questions just let me know!
  10. This a great thread girls! I was raised Catholic-- though no one in my family except my grandmother still goes to Church regularly. Ron was raised Protestant but not regularly and he doesn't even remember much. I voted more spiritual then religious because I do believe in god and many of the principles of my religion but I also disagree with soo many things. I choose to practice it in my own way rather than going to church weekly and practicing it how they tell you too. It's funny though we were just talking about this because part of me wants to go back before we have children. I do stronly believe they should be able to make their own choice of their beliefs.. I sort of feel it would help for them to be exposed to it as I was and then make their decision. I guess I'll have to think about it more when the time comes.... Ok I started to MQ but theres sooo much! I believe more in the "church of good karma" as in if you do good then good will come to you and if you do bad then bad things will happen. I feel if you live your life following basic principles such as respect, honesty, etc then that is just fine. Agreed with everything you said Kathy.. sit, stand, kneel, repeat LOL I love the church of good karma idea and definitely agree!!! I remember in grade school, we had to go to confession before we were allowed to go to communion, so I just would never go to communion these days. I agree Carly! I do not receive communion on the rare occasions that I go either. I feel like a fraud as well and everyone thinks I'm being silly because I did make my communion and stuff. But i never go!! It's worse to pretend. Everyone was looking at me. I was mortified. OMG- you poor thing! I would have been mortified too!! 16. I've never used self-apply creams so I can't help there- but I'm very fair as well and I'm a BIG fan of getting spray tanned. I don't do the booth ones but go to a local salon where they spray you by hand. It lasts about a week and looks SO natural. I love love love doing it before special events or vacation!
  17. WOW Alyssa! That looks absolutely amazing!! They did an unbelievable job and you guys are super lucky that you got it for free!!
  18. Congrats and welcome!! You'll find loads of inspiration here!
  19. KristinaM

    Aloha!

    Welcome and congrats!!
  20. I can totally understand how you feel and you have every right to be a little annoyed! As you said, they could have done it without labeling it a "gift". The same thing happens all of the time with my sister- she is super irresponsible and broke because of it.. yet she gets everything handed to her. It's like we get punished for being the responsible ones, taking care of our own things, and not whining!
  21. Great pictures!!! Your photographer did a great job and you certainly made it easy for him by being so stunning! So exctied for your wedding pictures! Congrats!!
  22. This is hilarious! I was not expecting that ending!!!
  23. That's great news!! So happy to hear it!
  24. It's a really pretty dress and seems to fit the theme! I'd say go for it and see how you like it in person. Do they have a return policy in case you're not thrilled when you get it?? If so, then why not give it a shot.
