HELP! I have 2 dresses....

I ordered it late one night in a moment of weakness too, but it worked out, because I love it! Here's a funny story - I was sitting next to my fiance on the laptop when I opened your post. I told him "Help this bride pick out her dress. Which do you like?" I hadn't scrolled down, but I about had a heart attack when it was my wedding dress that was your #2! I muttered something and kept scorlling down and said "Never mind." He wasn't paying much attention anyways, but what are the chances!?! I'm sure whatever dress you choose will look great! Good luck. THAT's TOO FUNNY - what are the chances! BTW are you worried about the boobs showing too much? Janet's sisters veto might be the same reason I don't end up wearing the 2nd one...my family might be shocked! -

HELP! I have 2 dresses....
SASSYGIRL replied to SASSYGIRL's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
You girls are the best! Thanks so much for all the kind words - I can't wait until Tuesday when I will be able to have someone take pictures of me in both dresses so I can get your honnest reactions - I know you wont lead me down the wrong path! As for the SPANX - YES THEY ARE AMAZING. I ordered mine from Nordstrom.com and actually got 2 pairs. One pair was item #146033 and was called SPANX Higher Power - it was $34 and did an OK job. UNTIL I tried the 2nd pair - LOVE IT! The second pair was $72 and was called PLUS HIGH RIS - these were made of a stronger in fabric and the crotch area is missing out of it. I am assuming this is so if you have to go to the restroom it isn't a major issue - could come in handy.... -
So many of you know that I purchased a dress a few months ago. I actually posted a few of my options and had you ladies pick which looked best. Here is a picture of me in the dress I bought. BUT the other day I was looking at nordstrom.com and found this dress that I thought is really pretty too and in a moment of weekness I ordered it! The nordstroms dress came in the mail yesterday and it is really nice! I always wished I could pull off a dress like this - more form fitting and sexy - but it isn't like anything I have every worn before. I am a bigger girl - size 12 or 14 and vertically challenged (only 5' 3".) But I have been working out and have lost a few inches / pounds and thanks to the sphanx under the gown I am pleased to say it looked good. WHY DO WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES? Know I don't know what to do! I just don't want people to be totally shocked or think I look terrable or slutty in my gown. I am going to try both dresses on for my aunt on Tuesday and i will have her take pictures of me in the second one for you ladies to see. I know it is hard to give your feedback with out real pictures to compair but I needed to vent to someone who would understand my delema!

We are paying for the wedding / reception, welcome dinner and our guests hotel stay at the Hilton for 3 nights. A lot of our guests are going to stay longer but they will be covering that cost. Our guest list consists of only family and there are going to be around 36 people total (including 8 kids.) We ended up needed 13 rooms for 3 nights each so that portion is eating up a large chuck of change approx $8000 - we got an awesome rate at the Hilton (thanks to booking earily and negotiation by my FI!) We think our guests will enjoy the trip and not really care too much about the flowers and cake type items so we are going low key with those...at least that is the plan for now!

What to expect during initial site visit
SASSYGIRL replied to sandyroo's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
On my intial site visit we went to several hotels to narrow it down and find the right one for us. We meet with (1) photographer (ended up not using) and taked with the wedding coordinator / sales managers at each of the resorts. We had never been to Cabo so it was great to get orientated about the way the town is layed out and the best way to get from A to B. After selecting the Hilton (LOVE THIS PLACE) we were given 2 nights free to come back and do our tasting and finalize details. I believe Dreams also does this as part of their contract. This worked out great for us since it gave us some time before we had to make final decisions about detailed items and we had an excuse to visit Cabo again! Let us know if you have any specific questions and we will do our best to guide you - I think it might be very overwhelming to try and make ALL the decisions in one trip but I know people have done it before. On the other hand Cabo is soooo pretty I am sure that you could plan a wedding with out going there at all and it would be perfect. Just depends on how specific you want things! SORRY - not sure that this helped! -
How many glasses of water do u drink in a day?
SASSYGIRL replied to ~Melissa~'s topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
At bootcamp they say to drink half your body weight in ounces everyday. That is hard to do but I have found that I get closer to that goal if I buy the large water bottles from trader joes or costco rather than the small 16oz size. You might want to try that. Water is great for weight loss as well as for your skin - it's a win win! -

AMAZING! I love you pictures - everything looked perfect and I am soooo happy for you! I love the black and white shot on Bradlys site that shows the whole group sitting at the reception table. You can't tell who the people are but you know it was an amazing party! I would totally blow that up and put it in my master bedroom - such a romantic celebration! -

Coral centerpiece help
SASSYGIRL replied to -Kate-'s topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
i thought of you the other day when I saw this pretty centerpiece in a model home - it was a clear glass bowl with sand and white coral. It might be neat if you use red rose petals along the runner or inside the glass bowl too. Just a thought... -
Favours (marachas) to be found in Cabo?
SASSYGIRL replied to KACENGG's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Yeah - they are all over the place and there are lots of different sizes and materials that they are made out of. We got a black one with silver/white embelishments on it while we were there in Feb for our flower girl to turn upside down and use as her basket (she will have fushia petals in it!) It is a childs size (made to fit a 9-12 year old according to the man we got it from) and it cost us $15.00 (after a little negotiation.) There were others that we not as nice of quality / materials that we less $ -
Talk about a success story...WOW! I promise you that I just got my butt up from my desk and grabed a Slim-Fast Optima drink to have for my dinner! OK but I need more info about the brand of Protien Oatmeal or Bar you buy. What is the specific brand and where do you get it? And what multi-vitiman is concidered "good?" I have been doing really good on the exercise part since thanksgiving but the food hasn't been so terrific. I know that I have a little more that 3 months to go so it is now or never time for me....how much do you ladies think is a reasonable about to loose between now and 07/07/07? I want to set a realistic goal! Advice please....

Oh yeah - but not before you spill the beans on how you got this far sooo fast - we really want to know!

hope you find a lot of good info on here - look forward to hearing about your details! You might also want to check out the Hilton since many of the brides who enjoy the Shearton also liked the Hilton too. Both are amazing properties!

SASSYGIRL replied to TammyB's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I really like the "Just Married" idea and think it would look great in pictures....adding it to my list! Also if you are going to use toasting glasses you could have those nice flutes placed where you are going to sit - I am sure guests would figure it out. -

I have purchased these vases from IKEA and took them down to Cabo already. I am trying to order flowers for these to put on the long reception table. I have 6 total vases and they are 14" tall and few inces in diam. I want to be sure that the flowers are nice and tall and the MUST BE Fushia in color. The email I got from the Flower Cart said this: "Option 1: fushia alstromeria tall 10 to 12 stems per vase, if you purchase the alstromeria by the bunch and put it in the vases yourself it's $10 a bunch with 10 stems per bunch. Option 2: Stargazer lilies $40 a bunch with 10 stems per bunch and 2 to 3 flowers per stem, $40 per bunch Or you can combine the lilies and the alstromeria together in your vases, both have long stems." SOOOO my question is how may bunches do you think I should order and do you think I should go with both flowers or only one vs. another? ADVICE PLEASE!
