  1. I printed 4 logos on one sheet and then cut around the circle of each one - as close as I could to the line of the logo but not too close that I cut off the design.
  2. I have been to both locations and they are both great. My issue with Cancun is that it is humid there and it is too much of a party / spring break sceen for my family ----there will be kids traveling with us and that is something I needed to keep in mind. Cabo is great since there is night life if you want it and it is also a little more low key. You are close - if you haven't been to either I would recommend taking a trip for 3 days and check whatever one you are leaning towards for your self.
  3. My FI and I went to IKEA today to pick up some more of the photo frames that we are using to make the picture luminars....he hates this place so that was all I was expecting to get there....I was wrong! We were able to get sheer panel drapes in the perfect color of pink/fushia which I am going to cut down and use as chair bows and table runners. They were a great price of 8.99 for 2 pannels which I figure will make 6 chair bows per package. (I posted the info for the place where I got our black table cloths in an earlier post.) We also found these really cool frosted candle holders that we put our monogram on using clear lables from staples. These were 12.99 each. We are trying to minimize the amount of flowers we need to pay for since they are expencive and not that origional. My FI wanted to put this all together tonight to see what it would like. SO CUTE (him and the table!) Here are some pictures
  4. I got my black bags from this site - LALA posted it before in another thread. Wholesale Blank Bags - Tote -BlankShirtStore.com I my logo into a circle and then ironed it on - you really can't tell where the iron on paper starts and stops on the black bags. LOVE IT! My monograms were designed by aylee and she does them really quick and is cheap - totally not worth me trying to do my own when she can do it for next to nothing. Tell her you found out about her services on here - she should really be a member of this board...here is her link { aylee designs } any other questions let me know - I am happy to help

I love the idea for the best DIY member. -Glenda Dont kid yourself - you are #1 in my book -- although I love all the girls on here!

I picked these up today and they are perfect - just wanted to tell you ladies who might need to order table cloths so that you can get in on the great prices----it was cheaper for me to buy these than it would have been to rent them! I got black but they also have other colors.
  7. I think there should be an award for the most creative DIY'er. This is the stuff that really makes our weddings unique and it usally doesn't cost an arm and a leg to make these projects. Also the tips from the other girls helps make our projects turn out perfect without having to bang our head against the wall. Just a thought! BTW - my vote for member of the month is GLENDA. Still in love with my pashminas and she was such a doll to do this for all the ladies!
  8. I got my transfer paper at Staples and it is for ink jet printers, made by AVERY and it is called DARK T-SHIRT TRANSFERS. There are 5 sheets in a package but I was able to get 4 logos on each sheet. I really like the way they came out - there are some horizontal lines that I notice (I think from the printer) but I don't think anyone else will notice them. I followed the dirrections inside the package and it was really easy to do. No special tips needed. On a side note..... my FI got really excited about the way these turned out and now he has started monograming everything in sight to see what else we can do to put inside the OOT bags. He tried to put the monogram on the old navy flip flops - it didn't look so hot since the foam of the shoe kinda turned a different color. He also tried one of our old beach towels - that didn't work either since the fabric isn't smooth - towels are all nubby. We ordered the black polo shirts for the guys in our group that will be embroidard with our monogram so they are taken care of. But for the girls we are going to do regular tee's from old navy. I think the logo with the iron on paper will work great on these. I went on the website today and was able to get the girls black shirts for $3.97 each and it was only $5 to ship them all to my house. You have to check them out online if this is something you are looking to do. They also had kid sizes too. SORRY for the long post but I was excited to share with you ladies! Let me know if you have any other questions....
  9. here are some pictures of the monogram on the OOT bag - we used the iron on transfer paper and it turned out great!
  10. thanks a million - YOU ARE THE BEST! and yes girls I will post my result when I am done!
  11. I am off work today and wanted to test out my monogram on my black OOT bags with the iron on transfer paper. The problem is that they background of my monogram is coming out white and I wanted the black of the bag to show through where there isn't any lettering - not white. Does anyone know how to adjust my monogram to have a black fill? I am so bad at this computer stuff - help if you can! http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j2...m/monogram.jpg

Sarah finally found some at a shop in San Diego and I'm willing to go pick them up, but they will cost $19.95 each plus tax ($21.50 each). If you girls still want them for this price, I'll reserve them with my credit card and go pick them up. Just let us know! eBay: Real Pearlized White Chambered Nautilus Shell 6-7" (item 6613500280 end time Feb-06-07 21:25:36 PST) actually the seller of these in San Diego is also selling them on ebay for the same price - you can just go the link above and have them shipped dirrectly to you - that will save Jessalyn a trip - this seller is not giving us a break on the price by purchasing so many
  13. I am 070707 too at 7pm! Can't wait to be in Cabo at the Hilton saying "I DO" Welcome to the board!
  14. This is a great design - fun and beachy and also different from anything else I have seen! GREAT JOB!
  15. I just ordered 15 shirts for our male guests with our logo - I will keep you posted on how they turn out! I hope they are nice since the price is great!
  16. Yeah - I am the crazy one who is paying for my guests hotel stay at the Hilton for 3 nights. It is our largest expence but it was important to my FI that guest see that we wanted them to come and not have it cost them a life savings to join us in Cabo. That being said I am trying to cut costs where I can - this is easier said than done since I like nice things and you girls have great ideas. I am commited to buy a dress for no more that $650 - I have seen some nice ones for that price. I figure that the money I save on the dress will help to cover the cost of the rooms.... What is funny about paying for the rooms is that it proves that no one is ever happy. I had one peson tell me "did you realize that getting your passport is $90" (I felt like telling her she should live a little and travel - then she would HAVE her passport) and another who is coming from a small town in South Dakota who complained that the airfair was costing too much (I agree it was a lot but it is because she doesn't live by a major airport - it costs a lot for her to go anywhere!) In the end I am sure it will be a great party but you can't win when it comes to guests and expences!

You will find a place to use them and they are easy to pack and make! BTW what type of bags are you ladies using....brown paper bags or did you buy white ones? Also what is the size you are using - lunch bag size?
  18. I just realized that this store is in the LA area - I can go and pick them up on one of my days off so that we don't have to pay shipping 2x's. LADIES IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE LET US KNOW SO THAT YOU DON"T MISS OUT!!!!
  19. Yes and welcome letters if you have them - this would save some of us a lot of time! THANKS LADIES!
  20. We ran the steps at the local collage yesterday morning at bootcamp and my legs are sooo sore today! NO PAIN NO GAIN -----shouldn't that be no pain no loose?
  21. Cabo San Lucas Maps - Los Cabos, Baja, Mexico this is what I found - hope this helps someone else - i think you can print these at home - I will try later on card stock and let you know what I find
  22. Anyone have a good map that we could re-print to throw in our OOT bags for guests? Just thinking we might be able to print them on a thicker paper and not have to buy them. Otherwise anyone have a good place to buy these cheep?
  23. OH YEAH - puerto veija is another that i need to add to the list - that is the place that Jen used and loved.....Jern can you send me any contact info or menus you have?

  25. The grapes are a great idea - really creative and they will be great with your theme. Check to be sure that your reception location will allow the candles - here in the US some places have strict rules about fire permits - i would hate for this to be an issue later....they look great though!
