  1. I am sure this forum is full of young brides who are excited to be planning their destination weddings - some in Cabo. I was just like you....10 years ago! I joined this forum when it was first starting out - I think there were less then 200 members when I discovered it. I got to know so many wonderful brides through this site and the sharing of information was incredible. Believe it or not my best friend is actually someone I met through this webiste! My husband and I were married in Cabo at the Hilton on 07-07-07 surrounded by 40 family members. It was a perfect celebration! So much so that we have invited all our guests back to Cabo for our 10 year anniversary in 2017. The invites are out and we are so excited! I am looking forward to getting to know you all - hopefully I can share some tips with you along the way! Let the planning begin!
  2. Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience with shipping items to Cabo? What carrier to do you recommend?
  3. what a doll - thanks for showing us some pictures - I cant wait to hear about her arrival and am glad to know you are home and doing well! BIG HUG!
  4. I was also showing at 3 months and I am sure that none of my clothes were comfortable - although the scale said I weighed the same - strange how that works! On another note I started feeling my baby girl move and kick like crazy a few days ago. She is really active after I eat or if I am in one position for too long she lets me know it is time to move. What a wonderful and strange feeling!
  5. nice job - the colors are great and he will like them for many years to come! Thanks for sharing
  6. ANN so glad to hear the family is home - you two are going to make fantastic everyday parents - after all you have been threw it is going to seem like a piece of cake!
  7. Fantastic - please let the little girl know that all her BDW aunties were waiting by the phone/computer to hear the big news - SO HAPPY FOR YOU and cant wait to hear all about it!
  8. I know I am late on this but wanted to say congrats on your little man!
  9. I haven't felt any "movement" either - sometimes I think I feel something but it happens so fast and then its gone. Don't feel bad - I want to feel my girl too - all in due time I guess!
  10. Never too soon to make progress and it looks great Lisa! I really love that color too and can totally see why you got motivated when you saw it! Your pictures are adorable - makes me want to get painting so we can have the pictures too! DH has been working like crazy so we haven't done anything more than buy the furniture (which all has to be painted!) Oh and I did get the bedding for the baby off ebay - paid for it yesterday so now I can start stocking the UPS guy everyday til it gets here! Fun!
  11. I had my Dr's appointment yesterday and we are having a baby girl! Just wanted to let everyone know. Oh and I got 2 suits at Target and they fit pretty good and were only around $25. Hope that helps!
  12. What a great list of names - I will need to share this with DH when he gets home! LOL! I know a hippy mom who named her kids, Luv (boy), Truth (boy) and Mercy (girl) - they are all a little off but I think thats from what she did while they were in the womb (if you know what I mean) not the names.
  13. Yeah - I would love to meet for a fun day or lunch - and maybe we can Angela to join us too. We live in Ventura county so it would be in the middle of your drive trip.
  14. I can't believe all the great ideas from the girls on here - I don't have any new ones to add - man I wish Sarah was around and not on vacation becuase I am sure she would have some wise suggestions... If you need a place to stay my house is big enough for your family - I am in Southern California so not sure that would help but wanted you to know you are welcome here!
  15. my hair is very curly too and I wore it mostly down with a few pieces loosely pinned up - it worked great for me. Yeah I wouldn't go straight cuz once you get hot it is all over and doesn't look cute!
  16. YIKES - I hope I don't come off that way to anyone who might be interested in loving my baby - I mean give me a break you SIL should be happy so many people care about her and her new child. I have a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins and expect all of them to be stopping by at some point. I would be hurt if they didn't - I totally understanding needing some space and time to rest but my family will be totally respectful of that and understanding. My DH family will most likely be MIA with the exception of my MIL who can be a bit much but means well! His sister lives in the same town as us and just last week we had a birthday party at our house - I kid you not 3 hours into the party she goes "Oh yeah congrats on the baby - I haven't had a chance to tell you yet!" WTF I have been knocked up since Febuary! Have you ever herd of a phone or email - Whatever! I think your parents have every right to be hurt and I would encourage them to talk with your brother - not so that the situation might change but more so that they understand what is going on and why SIL feels the way she does.
  17. yep pink is her color - now you need to add a pink bow or clip to all that hair! My goodness you are going to have fun with her!
  18. Wow a lot of us are finding out soon - I have my appointment to find out the sex on the 11th at 8:15am. I am counting the minutes! And Angela I will think of you when I get up to pee at 4:30 tommorow morning - that seems to be the time I am up too! Well that and midnight if I have gone to bed early.
  19. Interesting debate ladies! I personally am planning to have a c-section and I guess some would say it is my choice. I don't know that I agree with that 100%. I feel it is so amazing what the medical field can tell us about our bodies and our future health. My mother had a c-section with me and then was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer when she was 35. Her side of the family had a stong history or ovarian and colon cancer and it was discovered last year that there is a specific family gene that everyone could be tested for. I was tested and it came up positive that I have the gene. So lucky me at the age of 29 I went and had my first colonoscapy (not so bad really) and will need to have them done every year! I also need to have a complete hystorectomy so that the extreemly high risk of ovarian cancer is eleminated. I know that I will only have one child (DH has 2 from a previous marriage and we have a full house) and then everything is coming out. Since my Mom's cancer was at 35 and I will be 31 when I give birth I figure now is as good of time as any. So yes I could choose to deliver vaginally and then go back to the hospitial to be cut open and have my girl parts removed - I just don't think that makes a lot of sence! I want to be here for my child and not sick with cancer. But you should hear all the opinions I get from people who don't really understand the situation. If I had a nickel for everyone who has told me "Oh just becuase your Mom had cancer doesn't mean you will." Really?! Thanks! I am actually a very optimist person and don't go around thinking bad things are going to happen to me but if you knew that a certain bridge had a 90% chance of breaking into a million peices I bet you would find a different route to drive rather than going that dirrection! I guess my point is that everyone is different. There are no two the same and each person needs to make the choice that is best for them at the time.
  20. What a little love! He is adorable! How are you feeling? I know I will be having a c-section so I always wonder about the recovery. Wishing you all the best!
  21. This is soooo strange because I was just thinking about this tonight at dinner after I put it in - yeah I am going to stop that habit! I am sure you are right about it being nasty but I also agree that I don't want to know what happens at resturants. Once I saw the dateline or 20/20 about hotel bedspeads I was destroyed! YUCKY!
  22. I just sent my $ - thanks for taking care of this Christine!
  23. Yeah I have to agree with your hubby on this one too Christine - Ainsleigh is very pretty and I don't care for Elizabeth (sounds to old fashioned for my tastes.) My DH has said if it is a girl it will be Isabella Nicole which is pretty high on my list too. I just wish it wasn't so popular but then again Sarah was pretty common durring my days and it hasn't ever bothered me. She would probably go by Izzy anyway.
  24. I love this place! YUM! Their wonton soup is awesome and has chicken, shrimp and veggies in it - very filling, tasty and not too high on the calorie list! I usually try to fill up on it and then just take a taste (bit or two) of what everyone else has! Good luck and enjoy!
